Our server, Alberto, was wonderful. The food was fantastic and the Sunday happy hour couldn't be beat! This was a great way to reminisce about our wedding and honeymoon in Spain on our first anniversary.
Atmosphere, food and service was so worth it!
My friends and I come to hotel Madrid a lot as of late and every time we come we seem to get the same server. Alex is amazing and fun and very attentive to his customers. He does a wonderful job at making sure our needs are met, and his personality is extremely relatable. The food is always great as are the drinks. Always a wonderful experience.
It was our first time to Hotel Madrid, and we'll absolutely be back! The weather was perfect to sit on their cute patio, the service was fast and friendly, and the tapas-style food was incredible. We ordered a few of the small plates to share, and it was the perfect amount of food for 2 people. Thanks for the great experience, we will be back!
After eating here for the fourth time I said no more. But I was talked into this last Sunday to go for branch hoping they would change their menu or improve their food and service. three stars is the most I can give it and it’s more because of the ambience not the food
Morcilla, octopus, asparagus, mushrooms... my go to every time. Never disappointed.
Prompt, attentive service with good variety and value :)
The food was amazing! We had a bunch of small plates such as the blood sausage, frites, empanadas, ham/cheese coquettes & hummus. The only thing that made the dining experience less than great was that the dining room was around 100 degrees. We cut our stay short b/c of the hot dining room.
Sunday all day happy hour. Delicious cosmo, wonderful rice noodle dish
Great experience. Food was phenomenal and our server was friendly and helpful - only wish our courses came out slower so we can be here all night and try every single drink.
Had a fantastic time. Food was excellent and service was very attentive.
I had never had sweet vermouth. It was amazing! I am plant-based. I love the shishito peppers and the mushroom appetizer.
This was the first time that my wife and I tried this location after numerous people told us about it. We got five shareable items and they were all amazing! The service staff was very attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone - it's amazing!
A trip to Spain!
Great ambiance and even better food. Highly recommend. Will be back.
Good food, good service, good ambiance, overwhelmingly white.
The cost of the food at Bodegon is comparable to other options in downtown Milwaukee (Bacchus, Mason Street Grill, etc.), and the service did not match the expense. I would rather go to one of the restaurants mentioned above and receive service from experts in their field.
This was our third trip in the last 2 months for brunch they have decreased the food offering on there brunch menu leaving a smaller food selection. They removed some of their more desirable offering. Please bring back the old selection
Street noodles and croquettes were really good, cool drink list. Patio is awesome, inside was a bit noisy.
Had a great & delicious experience! Our server was very friendly we loved everything we got for brunch! Very cool atmosphere, will definitely be back.
I have been to Bodegon quite a few occasions. It is always good with a nice selection of well-made cocktails to start and a nice selection of sharable plates, along with dinners. Between the 3 of us we had ribs, scallops and ribeye. Ribs were ok, but the other main dishes were really good. Service is always very attentive and professional. Fun place to go on a date or with a group. Nice patio outside to enjoy a drink before or after dinner
I had heard great things about Hotel Madrid but my experience did not meet expectations. We went there to celebrate our anniversary. The waitress brought us out complimentary champagne with our asking if we drink - I do not. The food was just okay. The ramen lacked flavor in the broth. The best thing we ordered was the ribs. We sat outside which was nice however there was this person sitting behind us that was drunk or high or both and kept making noises and walking around. It made the dinner interesting but I could have done without it. Not sure we’ll be back to this place.
I have been to the Bodegon - Hotel Madrid several times and the food is outstanding. The portions are perfect and the variety is very good. The staff is on top of timing, customer satisfaction, and their overall manners are the best in the city. They provide "value."
Very interesting menu -- combination of small plates and main courses. We originally were going to order from the main course portion, but then decided to try some of the interesting small plate items. Food was very good, and the service matched -- waitstaff was helpful guiding us thru the menu choices.
We'll be back -- soon.
Lovely tim and great drinks menu. Bummed the “Dippin Dots” was not available though
Everything was fantastic.
Quaint, hip. Just south of downtown. Too many choices for our first visit.
It was our first time there so we tried a bit of everything. It was all delicious, especially the ink squid esgarot and the sea bass. We started outside until it started raining and then went in. Ambiance of both was warm and comfortable. We'll be back!
Lively place, diverse menu. Nice addition to the MKE brunch scene.
Absolutely green food and drinks. Best Bruch in town
Went for mother's day brunch and meals were great! Will be back for more.
We went here for Mother’s Day brunch and absolutely loved it! The decor in the building is unique and great! The food portions were great and the drinks wonderful! We will definitely be coming back here!
We had such a wonderful time when we went for Brunch. Our server, Michael, was great!
I loved this place!!!! It was as busy as I expected for a Saturday brunch at 12:00 but I think people have yet to find this gem. The decor is so cozy and warm. The bar is beautiful. The service was fantastic. Our server and his trainee were very personable and chatty and were very knowledgeable when it came to providing recommendations. The carafe of sangria was worth the $40 spent!! I also was able to look at the outdoor patio. Can't wait for warmer weather to sit out there with sangria.
6 women celebrating a birthday - this is a challenge to any server/establishment...and everyone was really good to us from the moment we arrived. It was pretty busy and we were able to be seated early which was a bonus that we did not have to navigate the crowded bar. The server made sure we were hydrated - with water and wine as needed because we were too busy talking to do it ourselves. Outstanding! The food was over the top. The trout was perfectly prepared and made me wish I could eat the whole thing myself (we were sharing plates). The ramen was spicy - which I do not prefer - but the flavor was so good I couldnt stop myself. We also had the Empanadillas and the beef wellington - the beef wellington was like butter! It is a loud room -but for us that was a benefit because we were not disrupting others. My out-of-town friends were impressed....I (We) will definitely be back!
Great food, but limited for vegetarians.
Already have recommended. I ca not understate the value. The quality is through the roof and I look forward to coming back again
The ambiance is great. It’s a beautiful place. The staff is very nice. We thought the appetizers were great but the dinners were a disappointment. The crab dinner was more of a salad and even a small salad where the crab was hard to find. The street noodles were overly spicy and lack flavor. We would go again but just order appetizers, they were great.
I LOVE this place!! I can't remember the name of our server, but we had him last time too and he is so awesome! Definitely will be back... with probably my entire bloodline! The tequila speakeasy is so so cool!
