   The food was delicious Mexican street food and the pre-theatre menu was good value for money. However our experience from start to finish really let this venue down, and we will not be back because of it. Our greeter was rude, and abrupt. We were there for the pre-theatre specific booking, having to be out by a certain time and this was confirmed with our greeter. This was not passed onto the server, and did not get our welcome drink. We were not served for 20 minutes from seating, had to flag down a server, reconfirm what we were there for, and specifically ask for the welcome drink. Staff were not checking on tables, running around almost panicked, dumping plates on tables and running off before explaining what it was that they has served. We had to flag a server on multiple occasions to ask for missing cutlery and plates, and for ordered drinks that had not arrived. When asked the servers response was "oh I thought you had drank it already". The order in which meals also came out was disorganised. Having sides come out last when the mains had already been and gone. We had to leave before the dessert came out because of all the delay. I completely understand it may have been a busy night, could have been short staffed, and all the extended variables that could have been happening in the background, and we would have been understanding coming from a customer service background ourselves, however there was not even the basic professionalism present. We walked away not feeling great about our experience.

   Food was incredibly tasty, the main downside was the noise and overall experience. My partner and I booked a table for 2 several months in advance, however, we seated in one of the least favourable tables within the main dining area which shouldn’t be the case.

   Food was great, but not fantastic, particularly the Papas fries with chiptole which we weren’t enamoured with the sour taste; maybe present as more conventional chips with Chiptole as a dipping sauce on the side. The Birtia Quesatacos were quite heavy and could have done with a salad or veggie component to lighten them; similar to the Fish Tacos which were fabulous. We loved the corn; great presentation on sticks. Wouldn’t want to be more expensive for what we had: the Pre-movie meal. We loved the totally gluten free environment; very comforting for those of us with severe allegies. Staff were great and worked well together as a team; seemingly a fun place to work. Keep up the great work.

   Fantastic food, good range of cocktails, cool venue. Looking forward to eating there again the next time we are in Melbourne - would come back for the elote alone - the best corn ever! Great for the pre-theatre crowd - and excellent value for money.

    Loved the corn and the birria tacos. Service and ambience was great. Only feedback I would give is that the pork shoulder tacos weren't great, pork could have been cooked longer and ingredients listed on the menu weren't in the dish.

    Love Bodega underground. The Dive bar vibes are perfect and offset by the amazing food. Cocktails are really good, and the all gluten free menu is perfect for Coeliacs.

    My partner and I are from Adelaide and tried to come here May 2022 and they were fully booked, so we made sure to make a reservation this time around. We had the feed me menu for $60 and it was incred! We had to take the last two courses home as takeaway. Our server was super friendly and made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in Melbourne.

    While we could see that there were staffing issues from the moment we sat down. We did not expect to get our cocktails that we ordered before our food to arrived at our table after we were 80% of the way through our meal, we had asked for them 3 times. We had the "feed me" set menu and it was just placed on the table without an explanation of what each dish was....the food was not very hot either. The whole venue was extremely loud we couldn't even have a conversation. The waiter also felt the need to tell us that we only had 25mins left at our table... I think that was unnecessary especially when that was not long after we got our cocktails and we couldn't order anymore. We were disappointed with our experience.

    We had the pre-theatre menu which can be booked from 500pm. The service was a little bit slow especially for drinks. In terms of the menu the corn dish was very good, the tacos flavourful for both the regular and vegan options, but the patatas dish disappointing. The included mimosas were good, however the tommys margarita was disappointing. I can however recommend finishing the meal with the house infused coffee tequila, which goes down a treat with the delicious churros and dulce de leche.

    Food & drinks were great but service for the bottomless brunch was very poor. After not being seated until 10 minutes after the start time, some of our table waited 40 minutes to get a drink and consistently waiting for drinks despite this being a limited time experience. Finally we were told we had to clear our table before our final drinks order had even been brought. Clearly not enough staff ready to manage the number of people who had been booked. Really detracted from overall experience and disappointing.

    Definitely an absolute horrid experience. Not worth the money that you pay. Watered down drinks and you would be better off with a bag of corn chips and salsa from the supermarket. Went there to celebrate a 40th birthday party and was definitely rushed and food very quickly bought out with the purpose of just getting you out. For a well-known establishment, the food was by far, the worst part of this experience. Will not recommend at all !

    Food was incredible and we loved how it came out in spaced out time frames throughout the 90 minutes. They were able to cater for my dietary requirements (lactose intolerant) without compromising the non vego meals for most meals. The waiter who worked on our table was wonderful! He had braces but we didn’t grab his name. He was friendly, super prompt with food/drinks and was more than happy to include dietary requirements into our order on the day!

    Great food and drinks. Service is an issue, we were 8 and ordered a Feed Me. We were rushed out (we couldn’t finish our meals as dinner plates and shared dishes were taken from te table very quick) as the restaurant only give you 1:45 to eat which it is a very short time when you are ordering a banquet and having drinks on top of it.

    The food was good but service was quite poor. We were only allowed the table for 1.5 hrs which isn’t enough time to eat the feed me menu as there’s A LOT of food. We felt quite rushed (we were a bit late due to traffic in the city but even if we had arrived on time it still wouldn’t have been sufficient time considering the amount of food you have) so if you are booking I recommend booking and only having a few bits because the feed me menu is too big for the amount of time you’re allowed to stay. The servers also took ages to come over and take our drinks order. There was a hair in our food and a piece of glass on our plate that cut my friends finger (although the male server with black hair who sorted this out was very kind and attentive). The food is nice (especially the corn) but I probably wouldn’t go there again unless I just wanted to quickly grab something to eat. It’s not a good dining experience.

    We have gone to eat numerous time. We were in a group of 6x They feed me menu is different and does not taste well. The ribs were full of fat and no meat to eat from the bone. Also at the end with hardly any notice the lady rudely told us to leave.
