It’s was great! First time at the location and it was wonderful! Thank you very much!
Bodega Negra was everything and more! We had a special 23rd Birthday and spring break celebration and Shelby made every second special and memorable! The fajitas were so tender and juicy, the drinks were perfectly crafted, bourbons and tequila not to mentions the famous Melting lava cake... omg .., no words!
This was such a great experience and was trly authentic Mexican Food perfectly seasoned. I know, I’m from the southwest! Way to go BN💗. Thank you!!!
Went out with another couple for dinner. We were 30 minutes late for our reservation ( 1 couple arrived on time and informed the hostess), we were seated once the entire group arrived. Food was excellent, service was good, noise level was so high that we couldn’t hear ourselves speak, restaurant was playing very loud music. This place is huge, warehouse size and wasn’t packed. However, at 9 pm, the hostess informed us that our table was reserved for another group at 9 and we had to leave. She offered we have dessert in the lounge, we declined. I️ understand that we were late, but they had other tables free at 9, they could have seated the next group on the lounge with complimentary drinks and let us finish our dining, we had ordered dessert and then told we had to go. It would have taken another 15 minutes at most for us to be done. Not coming back...dropped $400 for 4 people and were asked politely to get the hell out.
Was a little disappointed with them forgetting the anniversary desert. Overall great food and music!
Staff was very attentive and pleasurable.
This place is SO overpriced for what it is. The food is OK. Most of ours came to the table cold. Two tiny tacos are $20??? We were laughing because the waiter said all the food was meant to share, then these tiny portions come out. And even if it had been hot, it wasn't very tasty - alot of it bland, which was so disappointing. The cocktails were very good, which for $18 each, they should be.
If you want a great Mexican meal, skip it. So many other great places in the neighborhood that serve terrific food and drinks for less money.
Wonderful atmosphere and service at Bodega Negra.
Lively & fun atmosphere, fantastic service, delicious food!
Very flexible with arrival times. We wer late and no problem. Servers were good and available. Bartenders great.
great dinner and ambience
Amazing experience! Bianca at the front desk was great. Overall the service was outstanding! The food was tasty. Music made me want to dance all night!
My wife and I enjoyed dinner at Bodega Negra. The food was excellent. The margharittas were just okay.
This restaurant, and later their lounge, were perfect for our girls' night outing!
Everyone from the hostess to our waiters were great and the food and drinks were phenomenal!
We had dinner with friends from out of town and their 2 year old daughter. The Food was delicious, the staff was very cordial and attentive. I highly recommend the tuna Ceviche and the soft shell taco. Even My friend‘s two year old loved the fish.
I had an amazing time. Ambiance was perfect. Love the rustic look to the restaurant. Waiters are very attentive and curtious. The drinks are super yummy and the food was amazing !
Celebrated my daughters 18th birthday with8 teenage girls!! It’s a Super fun place for these types of occasions s and the wait staff are very friendly, the music is fun and the food is good and shareable. Perfect for a big group particularly if you do t mind hip hop music and a loud environment. Wide range of Mexican fusion.
The only issue we had was having to wait at the bar for our table and the hostess didn’t tell us that she would be texting us when our table was ready.
There was stone pieces in guacamole, it almost broke my tooth. I will get it checked later next week. NY strip was not good, lots of chewy parts.
They were nice enough not to charge the drinks and the guacamole though.
Everybody was so friendly and the food was great. I wouldn’t mind coming back again.
I went here for vday and the food was amazingggg my waiter was slow but he did say he was having a bad night
Went there for the first time for my boyfriends birthday the wait for our table was a little long even tho we made a reservation but once we sat down it was a great experience, food was amazing waiter was very energetic i will definitely be returning back .
Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Incredible drinks and the food continues to wow!
Great vibe music and service. Very attentive staff and the food and drinks was outstanding.
First of all, my reservation was at 10:45 got there on time but I was seated one hour later... we went to th bar and I ordered at $19 “smoking scorpion drink” it was supposed to be served in a open flame but it wasn’t I asked the bartender about the flame he said “not today” so if not today when?? I didn’t like that.. now the food: appetizers were amazing good. The entree I ordered enchiladas were good and my boyfriend ordered carne asada and it was so salty he didn’t finish it. Dessert it was good.
Good experience. Only thing is why have a reservation if you won’t be sat on time
Made a reservation but still had to wait a half hour.
Amazing place! Excellent. The food was so good, the drinks and desserts. Everything was just amazing.
I waited 40 minutes for my reservation and we were all there. They didn’t apologize or offer any comp in anyway. The food/ ambience was great but I’d never go back
Before 7/730 it had the most appreciated quiet ambiance and then after their was a dj so it had a little party vibe but the music was so great we found ourselves sitting just to hear the music. The huevos ranchos desert was excellent and the chicken dinner entree was excellent.
Good ambiance, but food was disappointing. Overpriced for the quality of food.
Server was amazing. Drinks are strong. The food is fresh and delicious.
Great food, great ambiance. The drink choices are fun and delicious! Tacos are a little small, but great for ordering several different kinds and sharing!
I would definitely return to this location to continue trying everything on their menu. The food was delicious. The service was excellent & the interior decor is what I loved the most.
After reading a ton of negative reviews, the food was way better then I expected. We had the quesadilla rustica, the jalapeño relenos and the honey glazed ribs. Everything was delicious. In my opinion the drinks could have been better. They had several versions of margaritas to choose from (I tried 3) but they all just missed the mark. I’d recommend just sticking with beer. Our sever was knowledgeable and friendly. We ended with the Don Juevo and that was of course the highlight of the meal. Definitely worth going to experience it all at least once!
Fun place, decent Mexican food except for the Red Snapper (disappointing!).....cocktails were the highlight of the evening (the blood orange Paloma with paprika on the rim was my favorite!).....service was okay (3 different waiters!).....got overcharged on my tequila shot ($75!) but manager gave us a break on the bill....great for a girl’s night (lot of women there!)
Great place for a Friday night girls' night out! Cool clubby atmosphere and friendly staff
Nice date with my wife. Place was booked but we didn’t feel rushed. Best food I’ve had in a long time.
Weekly Date night with the boyfriend and I chose this place since I hadn’t been. We were bumped from our seating because we were 30 minutes late, which is fine with us. No big deal! We sat at one of the booth tables near the bar, which was also fine with us. The table to seating ratio is way off, so we spent most of our meal leaning over. BF is an architect so he immediately noticed. Anyway, after ordering 2 apps and some drinks, we asked The hostess in the red skirt to waitlist us for an open table. Her attitude was condescending , so we just said ok and stayed where we were. We ordered the steak, some sides and also dessert. Our waitress was very nice, playful and attentive.
Probably won’t be back, but the food was good.
We walked into a hotel lobby first and then through the Bodega Cafe before we realized the actual restaurant was behind 2 large silver colored doors - not so easy to find unless you use another door from the street.
The restaurant was crowded and the ambiance not the best. It is a little dark with not much decor. The food was average - I had chicken which was tender and juicy but nothing special. I expected a lot more as we tried a mac n cheese dish that was noted as a special but ended up being watery and somewhat bland. I had flan for dessert which again was just good, not great. The one bright spot was a friendly and very attentive waiter.
Be aware that the area is crowded and it is difficult to find street parking even on a Wednesday night after 7 pm which is when we went. We ended up in a parking lot across the street from the restaurant and the cost was a whopping $65 for 2 hours!
