I’ve been here before, but never on a Friday night. It is quite noisy and there is a DJ (who was playing banging music). We are ate the tacos: steak and shrimp. The steak tacos were slightly more flavorful than the shrimp, but the shrimp were still pretty good. We ate the special desert, which was good but hyped too much. Overall, still a good an option for dinner. Very trendy and posh.
The food was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. Had the Carne Asada and it melt in your mouth. The Yuca fries were great as well along with their refreshing dippping sauce.
Definitely coming back.
It was ok I enjoyed myself But Don’t believe the hype honestly . It’s pretty small for me
The signature dessert is a must - super delicious and fun.
Great location. Great food. Great service !!!
Great cocktails, happy hour and lovely atmosphere. Dinner was delicious - almost too much food, so flavorful and unique. Will definitely go back to try new menu items!! Perfect way to celebrate a birthday or any special occasion.
Two out of 4 of us had just okay meals. My taco (I thought tacos had hard shells), which was soft shell crab, was cold. Who wants to eat fried food cold? My husband had fish ceviche which he loved, while my son had shrimp ceviche, which was just okay. The chicken fajitas were outstanding, while the NY strip fajita was chewy and flavorless. No one came to ask. So, I'd say the place was so-so. Would never go back just because it was so noisy, with music and too many people yapping. My kids were in from Japan and we hardly got to have a conversation with them. Poor choice on our part but they love Mexican food.
Not a fan. Over priced food and not really good. Tacos were good and drink was good. That’s about it. Won’t go back
As always, we had a fantastic time at Bodega Negra. We were a party of 7 and we were there to celebrate my son’s 14th birthday. The food was so delicious. Don’t leave without having the shrimp tacos. Divine! The snapper ceviche is also delicious! The service is wonderful. Shout out to my favorite waiter, Jonathan!!! He helps us order based on our taste buds and he’s so freaking nice! He feels like family. I also want to acknowledge the Black gentleman who is the manager I believe. He is always so warm and accommodating. (I’m so sorry I forgot his name). Wonderful time.
Service was great! But... the bussers kept coming around asking if we were done eating to take away the plates. There were 3-4 of them that kept interrupting even though we kept ordering food.. it was annoying, to have 3 people circling around the table constantly while trying to enjoy the food, and conversation. Perhaps since it wasn’t crowded they had to keep busy. Other than that, we had a great time.
My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary. The drinks were sooo good and the food as well. Our server was very nice and everyone was very attentive. I love the ambiance of the place.
For was excellent. Definitely not your typical Mexican restaurant.
Great place for fun.
Everything was great.
So good hands down my favorite restaurant!!!!!!!!!!!!
Food took almost 2 hours to get to us. Very disappointing sister was great but time to come out was horrible I was starving we all were.
The food is delicious although the portions are fairly small despite being expensive. The cocktails are AMAZING.
I’m embarrassed to say I was 25 minutes late. I was trying to wait out the downpour but I got soaked anyway and was late. I did call to let them know. They were extremely gracious about the time I showed up and seated me right away Excellent meal and really nice people working there
RESTAURANT WEEK MENU WAS SO DELICIOUS. Presentation was beautiful and food was amazing. Left really full. Perfect for a cozy date night.
Food is very good but the service is horrible. Appetizer and entrée arriving within minutes of each other is ridiculous. $60 for a small pitcher of Sangria loaded with ice and no taste is not worth it.
Service was very slow for a Saturday 5pm dinner. I order the ribeye and took longer than i medium cooked steak takes. Im not an usual complainer, but restaurant manager noticed we were a bit uncomfortable for the delay on the meal.
Very apologetic the manager “Jenifer” took time from her duties and make sure meal came faster and for the delay gave us a tasty desert. Loves this restaurant and they always find a way to keep their repeated customers happy
Food was delicious and fresh. The dj was playing a selection of different mixes. Drinks are over priced. Went during restaurant week and spent around $185 for 2 people. Our server over charger our bill but once I bought it to his attention he removed it. I enjoy myself but it was to expensive.
It was great!
The best Flan ever!
A little pricey but great food!
Worse restaurant week dinner ever !
Please donot waste your money
Fish was old and smelly ! Steak was cold , over cooked !
The food was great. We attended for restaurant week and the selected menu was really good. The mojitos are lovely. And wonderful and caring staff
One of my favorite places to go. The food, drinks and service is ALWAYS great ! The music is AMAZING !!!!!
Service was on point, DJ was awesome. The margaritas were great! The food was DELICIOUS!!! BUT, the portion size of EVERY order was MEAGER at best and NOT conducive to the price. This is a good pit stop for some expensive appetizers on your way to someplace else or a great late night bite and drinks...NOT A dinner restaurant.
I had an amazing time with my family and my girlfriend. We had the quesadilla, ribs, plantains, tacos and rice and it was truly delicious. I looked forward to coming back here!
Food, ambiance, music was great! Definitely recommend the Flautas, and the Desserts!!
El restaurante y el ambiente es súper nices , vale la pena visitar , los precios los encuentro un poco elevado para el tipo de cómoda que es .
Amazing food choices (even for vegetarians)and was delicious.
Restaurant week - every taco was delicious. The corn salad was fabulous. Loved the decor. It is quite expensive though...
Everything was great service and music especially. Presentation of the food was remarkable and I would honestly come back many times this has become one of my dinner places now.
Worst Mexican food of my life. They are trying way too hard because they’re a “upscale” restaurant. But how do you mess up Fajitas?
Charming restaurant! Pleasant and helpful waitstaff, delicious tacos, and chicken and apps and desserts. My 5 friends and I really enjoyed our night out! Cant wait to go back!
Great food! I would definitely return next time I am in New York. The restaurant is very dark inside and I found that a little bothersome. The great margarita's offset the darkness.
Great, good food as always. Bathroom was extremely dirty for 6pm...
The food was beyond delicious. Despite arriving when the restaurant opened up for the day and with few patrons, our servers seemed distracted and items from our orders were forgotten,
