Bodega Malbec is always our go-to for date night. Great food and service, clean restaurant, love the ambiance. Local gem for sure!
Absolutely amazing food and quality service!
Excellent Friday evening meal at one of our favorite locations. Elena was so attentive and our experience was once again fantastic.
We were seated promptly at our reservation time. We shared the arroz con mariscos which was delicious and a good amount of food. The red wines were lovely as well. The table next to us was close enough to hear their very loud conversation so that was the only negative part.
Great vibe. Food very good. Great location.
One of my favorite places!!! We always get the same server snd shes amazing. Always remembers the wine I like!!
I ordered a burger medium rare and got one well done. When I looked around the server was not there so I went up eating it and found it very tasteless. Later, when we paid I asked the server for a written receipt and I never got it. These were the bad points.
The muscles were very good as were the fries. The bottle of wine we ordered was not in stock and the server recommended a bottle which was quite good but significantly more expensive. Is the supply chain? Who knows?
Our server Juanita was great. Our food was perfect. The Chardonnay that I ordered tasted like it came from a box. Perhaps it was open for a while…. I’m guessing that there aren’t a lot of white wine drinkers at an Argentinian steak house. Our server immediately replaced it with a perfect Malbec. Wonderful experience!
Our server was the highlight of the meal. The skirt steak with chimichurri sauce is my favorite thing on the menu.
There were four of us out to dinner, two ordered fish, and two ordered meat plates. I had a special steak with peppercorn sauce and I thought the meat was done medium, and had more grizzly in the meat normal. The fish dishes were overdone. One other item, the Chardonnay that we wanted to get was not chill so it wasn’t available. Normally we would give five star ratings this was an off night. Our server Chris, was very accommodating and very likable.
Excellent food. Excellent Atmosphere.
Service was slow -food great!
Food was mediocre at best. Dine LA was a good deal but otherwise overpriced.
Ambiance was lovely, intimate, and inviting. Menu was interesting, creative, and offered excellent selections. Food was delicious and the suggested wines for pairing was perfect. Service was excellent, overall it was a wonderful dining experience.
Everything was great except the server was bland and not available
Per reading reviews, I was excited to try this restaurant; however was disappointed. The only item I enjoyed was the wine. We ordered steak, boneless ribs, crispy brussels sprouts and fries. While the chimichurri sauce was flavorful, the meats were tough and the brussels sprouts were mostly charred and not crispy. Perhaps it was an off night...and it would've helped if my server remembered to send bread to the table at start of the evening instead of me requesting, along with checking/asking how things were throughout my meal.
We had a great meal. Food was very good. We sat outside so there was some street noise, but we could still talk without shouting. Our waitress was very helpful and they permitted us to substitute an entree from #1 Dine LA menu to the #2 menu. We also enjoyed the wine pairing. I’ll definitely be going back again to try more of their menu….The wine pairing was great too
Went for the first time for DineLA and chose Menu 2. I must say we are impressed with everything.
Everything was really nice. We will be going back to try other items on their menu.
Service was great, we had a bit of everything
Tuna tartare- a bit warm and could have been a bit more fresh.
Cheese dish(forgot name) not worth the $14 it hardened super fast and not easy to eat.
Spinach dip cheese- loved it!
Garlic mash- great taste need a bit more garlic.
Rib eye- was slightly fatty than I prefer but cooked exactly how I asked for. Good flavor and good value.
Crepes- needed more berries and less of the filling inside. Missing caramel. I think they changed the recipe from the last time I had them.
Excellent service and food.
The skirt steak was cooked perfectly to my liking. The sangria was good, but I wish there were cocktails to choose from.
3 hours they were understaffed
Just no where near what it was when it was Malbec. Little things have changed and the food was shockingly subpar. Been going to this restaurant for years. I was quite disappointed and probably won’t be going back any time soon.
Great food and energetic conversation. I would go over and over again.
Wonderful selection of spanish-style tapas, well prepared and delicious. We also had their Arroz con Mariscos - not quite a paella, but an excellent dish. The server was well informed on the wine selections and pairing. Attentive service, well-spaced out food, nice atmosphere. Would definitely go back!
We came for the Argentinian Malbec and added the Lemon Sole and Ribeye. The steak was perfectly cooked and the Lemon Sole was flaky and full of flavor. We choose the Anko Malbec. The hospitality was outstanding. Definitely a great neighborhood restaurant to visit frequently.
Our favorite place to go for special occasions
Everything was amazing, the service, the food and the atmosphere! We enjoyed every minute of it, definitely coming here again!
Made a reservation yesterday for 8:45 Got a call at 8:43 asking where we were at, which I think you would get 5 minutes after. When we walked in at 8:45 exactly and we checked in with the hostess she was setting us up outside in the front patio area to which it was chilly and rather empty (but even though it had a heater I normally am just cold). Plus a homeless guy had just walked down the street before so I asked to go inside, and to the back which is partially outside but mostly enclosed and less exposed as the porch. I even apologized for seeming to be picky as I was not trying to be an inconvenience at all. She asked someone and then she told us the back was being shut down because of parties even though it was 8:45 PM and the kitchen did not close till 10. So we decided inside and even though it was not busy at all and plenty of open tables everywhere she sat us at the only table that was less than 5 feet away from the toilet and in the most busy walkway possible. After that no one came over for a few minutes but servers were standing there whispering back-and-forth and looking over. So even though we had been there for a few times and had a great experience, it seemed like that was the night not to go as the hostess seemed to be in a very bad mood and not very pleasant. We went down to a bar and had bar food instead.
Perfect, great food,Wine, service, i had salmon it was delicious!!
My girlfriend and I had a great first dinner at this restaurant!
The Arroz Con Mariscos is utterly amazing. A great Argentine take on Paella, and they know how to use Saffron. And the Gaspacho was also excellent. An absolutely AAA+++ evening. Oh yes, the Cabernet from Salta was a knockout as well.
Random date night with my girl. Easy reservation making thanks to open table. Fast service. And the food and wine was absolutely delicious
Excellent service and food
The food was very good. Much better than we had recalled and expected. Ample portions. Service was slow, but the outdoor atmosphere was lovely, so we didn't mind. Overall, a very good experience and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.
Dined al fresco in front of the restaurant which was nice, cool and much quieter than inside. Our server was friendly and attentive and had solid knowledge of the varied wine list.
The Arroz con Mariscos and Beef Sirloin Cap special were both prepared well and quite enjoyable.
It is not our first visit there. Bodega is local for us and we have always been very happy with our experience there. We had our reservation at 7:30, we were seated right on time and were allowed to enjoy our meal and wine until they were closing. Not for a moment did we feel like we were being pushed out.
We really appreciate that.
Grilled salmon is delicious. I’ve also had the half chicken which is the best I’ve had anywhere. My friend had the filet of sole which she also said was superb. Both plates came with roasted vegetables and sautéed spinach which was done in such a way so it was slightly crispy and yummy. I love this neighborhood spot and sitting outside on a summer evening was delightful.
