Bocce USQ is the NYC backyard we never had but always wanted. Located in the heart of Union Square Park, it is a place for neighbors to escape, be outside, enjoy ridiculously good Italian food, refreshing drinks, a little sun, a little shade, and some (mostly) friendly competition on the bocce court. We take a limited number of reservations and hold the majority of our restaurant for walk ins. If you don't see the reservation you are looking for, please walk in and we will be happy to get you seated as soon as possible.

Should open up the shutters to look over Union Square park instead of looking out the otherwise into the back of the market stalls.
Menu is quite limited (but the pizzas themselves are delicious)
We love Bocce...it's our new favorite place to sit outside in the city for an afternoon splash! We especially love the Bocce bread with rocotta - paired with a nice rose or their delicious froze. Highly recommend. Service is friendly.
I live in the neighborhood. Met a friend for lunch. First time dining here. AMAZING pizzas and salads. Had the Farm pizza with pesto, aged cheddar, squash and mozzarella. Really one of the best pizza I've ever had! Caesar salad was fresh, full leaves of romaine with crumbs of cheese sprinkled on top and perfectly balanced dressing. Will definitely be back!
Honestly, this is NYC! You have to get on your game. The salad in particular (the Chopped) was vintage 1960’s. No wonder people used to hate veggies. Boring. My dining companion didn’t want to mention it, because I was treating, but he did reluctantly agree when I admitted I found it blah. The pizza (The Farm) likewise just ok. $24 in cold brewed coffee (which was really good) later, the bill for this fare came to $80 before tip. Really, wish we had gone elsewhere. You guys have to step it up.
I went this past Friday when the temperature was in the 90’s. Restaurant should have had all fans going as it was very very hot.
Bocce is an urban oasis in Union Square Park. The pizzas are some of the best in NYC and the drinks perfect on a warm summer day.
$5 iced teas that were mostly ice. Offered refill & charged again.
Pizzas are good, but everything else is disappointing. Breathtakingly rude front of house staff and apathetic wait staff.
The server was disrespectful. He wouldn’t give us silverware even after we asked. And he practically thee our dishes at us when they arrived.
There are not many places where you can sit outside in NYC and not be breathing in exhaust fumes.
Bocce is like dining in a off the beaten place in Venice. Great food and competent service. the only downside is the menu is a bit limited but everything on it is very good and well prepared.
Was very excited to come here. Ambiance is great. Feel like you're dining in the Borghese Gardens. Food was excellent, we got the pepperoni pizza and the Bocce bread. Would have ordered more food if our waitress ever came to our table. Patiently waited with our empty water glasses, wine glasses and plates until we eventually gave in to try and flag her down which still didn't work. Asked another server for more wine and the check. So cheers to the kitchen for killing it. Front of house - get it together please.
Chef is a pain, you can put an egg on a pizza but not on the hash how stupid is that? Very nit picky over clearly doable add ons which was annoying but food was good and bar tenders are lovely!!
The food was good, but they reduced the menu and it is too limited. If you want pizza, its great, anything but pizza, not so much.
Food was good but closing soon for the season (outdoor in USQ ) so many wines not available and some food items as well. Should advise customers as we were not aware and probably would have gone elsewhere. I will go back when reopens in the spring.
The first time I went the food was very good, this time the menu was different and the food was not as good as the first time, the service very bad.
Absolutely love Bocce, every time I go— it never disappoints.
We are frequent goers to Bocce. We love the food and especially the atmosphere.
Good lunch deal. Pizza was OK only, tries to be Neapolitan but they use a temp / bake time combination that results in a crisp, cracker like dough which some may like. Good service. Better at night time.
Wish there was something that could be done about all the bugs.
Pretty good pizza, not a place to go on a rainy day.
This place was great. Got seated outside just as it started raining and they moved us inside with no trouble. The pizzas were delicious and the service was very accommodating.
Lovely time. Food and drinks were great. All our servers were awesome. Was quite hot out and it's an open air restaurant so it was rather hot, but not really their fault.
Great service great food. Loved the bread and the snap pea salad
Fantastic food in a super cool environment. Will definitely be back next time we’re in NYC.
covered and cool outdoors vibe. great food and drinks. just wish the bocce court was covered so it can be enjoyed without melting in the sun.
Somewhat limited menu, which in this case is a plus, as everything on it looked amazing. My daughter and I had a great lunch in a very cool space, highly recommend it!
Great service and incredible food. Excellent value. Get the the Bocce Bread Ball!
Great spot and delicious food. Overpriced but you pay for the location. I wanted to take my family as they were in town visiting and they thought it was delicious and fun If you’re a tourist, this is a great spot to see the park and do a little something different. Cocktail menu was wonderful, and get the bocce bread!
The food was great! I was sad there was only one, sort of pitiful Bocce court to the side. Wish we could have played and enjoyed our meal at the same time, but there was only a drink rack nearby and our table was on the opposite side. I was hoping for a scene more like the Royal Palms.
The front desk hostess was rude.
I've been wanting to try Bocce for a while and it was the perfect place to treat a friend for birthday brunch. The food was excellent and the drinks were really good. The only complaint I have is that they ran out of their rose cocktail in the middle of the lunch rush. Other than that the service was fast, the ambiance of Union Square was great. And we got to go to the Farmer's Market after lunch!
Very fun and yummy food. Great cocktails. Great place in nice weather. Very open and airy. The Bocce bread is amazing.
Three of us dined there and got sick from the food. We will not be going back.
Really great food and ambiance. I definitely want to come back here again
Wonderful light food and nice outdoor ambiance. Sit outdoors and hope for no rain!
Terrific food and way better managed than pavilion was. Great friendly service too.
Fun and pretty tasty pizza.
Loved the food. It was July and hot outside! There is no ac since it’s an open pavilion. We didn’t realize that until we got there and were seated.
Sat outside. Rose wine was warm so had to put ice in glass. The pour was not good. Almost nothing in the glass. That sort of set the tone as cheezy. Pizza was very good and cucumber salad was also good but the tiny pour of wine set the tone. Stupid thing to do.
The Booce Bread was to die for!! I could have had that for my whole lunch.
