Bocce USQ is the NYC backyard we never had but always wanted. Located in the heart of Union Square Park, it is a place for neighbors to escape, be outside, enjoy ridiculously good Italian food, refreshing drinks, a little sun, a little shade, and some (mostly) friendly competition on the bocce court. We take a limited number of reservations and hold the majority of our restaurant for walk ins. If you don't see the reservation you are looking for, please walk in and we will be happy to get you seated as soon as possible.

The food was great! I was sad there was only one, sort of pitiful Bocce court to the side. Wish we could have played and enjoyed our meal at the same time, but there was only a drink rack nearby and our table was on the opposite side. I was hoping for a scene more like the Royal Palms.
The front desk hostess was rude.
I've been wanting to try Bocce for a while and it was the perfect place to treat a friend for birthday brunch. The food was excellent and the drinks were really good. The only complaint I have is that they ran out of their rose cocktail in the middle of the lunch rush. Other than that the service was fast, the ambiance of Union Square was great. And we got to go to the Farmer's Market after lunch!
Very fun and yummy food. Great cocktails. Great place in nice weather. Very open and airy. The Bocce bread is amazing.
Three of us dined there and got sick from the food. We will not be going back.
Really great food and ambiance. I definitely want to come back here again
Wonderful light food and nice outdoor ambiance. Sit outdoors and hope for no rain!
Terrific food and way better managed than pavilion was. Great friendly service too.
Fun and pretty tasty pizza.
Loved the food. It was July and hot outside! There is no ac since it’s an open pavilion. We didn’t realize that until we got there and were seated.
Sat outside. Rose wine was warm so had to put ice in glass. The pour was not good. Almost nothing in the glass. That sort of set the tone as cheezy. Pizza was very good and cucumber salad was also good but the tiny pour of wine set the tone. Stupid thing to do.
The Booce Bread was to die for!! I could have had that for my whole lunch.
Lively local especially vibrant on Saturday during the USQ market
Snap Pea Ceasar was great!
Went there for a friend's birthday, the ambience was great and the food was amazing especially the bread with the ricotta and the fritto misto. Will definitely go back and will recommend for sure.
We had a group of 20, and they did a great job. Thank you, Bocce!
This place is not equipped for the amount of people they have pouring out. Service was slow and inattentive (the only pro to that was they didn't kick us out of our prime seating outside). The restaurant is EXTREMELY loud. You cannot hear anything the other person is saying, especially if you are sitting inside or closer to the inside area. We were told 3 different wines were sold out, without a solution until we asked to speak to the manager. Pizza was average. Wouldn't recommend to friends.
BOCCE has a great vibe, casual but delicious menu and nice wine selection. I'll be back to enjoy the BOCCE court as well!
My sons grade school graduation. We sat outside, there were 6 of us. We had a great table by the bocce court, the boys were so happy to be playing.
We ordered the bread with the whipped ricotta, which was delicious. The pizzas and pastas were equally delicious.
I went with my team for an early evening bonding event. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had a 5 pm reservation but there was a bigger party who had reserved all of the outside (including the bocce court) at 6. Instead of rushing to seat us at 5, they showed us to our table and told us we could leave our stuff and go play bocce until they need to set up for their 6 pm reservation. The staff was so great. The food hit the spot and the drinks were great.
Thank you USQBocce for allowing me to host my first event with my new team at my new job! It was a huge success and everyone had a great time!
They lost our reservation. Made a reservation on open table earlier that day and when we got there they said they had nothing under our name. I clearly showed them the email confirmation from open table stating that we did have a reservation, but the hostess continued to be hostile and unhospitable. After becoming visible flustered and irritated she finally had someone get us seated at one of the many open and available tables in the restaurant. At no time while we dined were they ever at full capacity. A new restaurant should never make their customers feel like their presence was a burden.
Food was a little salty :/
My server was great, too! She paid attention to the notes on my sisters reservation and suggested that they sing and gave us a dessert for my birthday!
The shared plates were not very big and it took a while to get our food but it was all pretty good and it is a lovely outdoor space on a nice day.
Great food and great location. Whoever the restaurant consultant is did a great job on this one!
The service was pretty bad. I was with a party of 3 and all of our main dishes came out 20 minutes apart from each other. The food was decent. It seems like a better place to go for a drink and just skip the food.
