At Boccaccio’s restaurant, we offer guests a unique experience. We serve a classic, traditional menu celebrating the cuisine that defines fine dining — choice Steaks, Veal, Filet Mignon and Lobster Tail (and Baked Alaska for dessert!), along with classic Continental favorites including an array of savory pasta dishes.
Each bite is enhanced by our serene setting at Westlake Lake, a private lake nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains and surrounded by elegant residences. Locals often arrive by sailboat for a special lunch or romantic sunset supper at Boccaccio’s, and viewing the docks, boats and waterfront make every meal here truly an experience to remember..
The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was mouthwatering yummy. We loved it!
Boccaccio's is always a wonderful spot for celebrations and special occasions. A gathering of friends was made even better with a view of the lake.
Dinner was great, I had the seafood risotto which a lot of times can leave the seafood a little rubbery at other restaurants, but this one was so delicious and the scallops, shrimp and sea bass were perfectly prepared. The waiter, I believe his name was Eddie (or Iggy) was so friendly and helpful.
Made for a very enjoyable Valentine dinner.
We’ll definitely be back.
This was such a gem to find. Overlooks the lake, great sunsets, the wait staff was above outstanding. the food quality and options was fantastic. Thanks you for making us have a wonderful night out. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome
Always a pleasure to come to and celebrate special occasions here.
Cane for lunch and everything was perfect. The food, table, service, and noise level.
Been some time since we’ve been there and will definitely be back soon.
The view was amazing! Unfortunately, I asked for chicken picata with spaghetti and one meatball instead of the linguini with alfredo sauce. I received the first time the spaghetti and two meatballs....no licata. They took the whole plate back. The second time I received the chicken with risotto and one meatball no spaghetti. The food was very good. The server tried hard to please, but just wasn't on his game. The dessert was excellent and as I said he tried very hard to please.
We've eaten at Boccacios many times in the past, this time for a birthday dinner. On this night, service was mediocre - surprising because that's not usually the case, especially since it was a slow night (kinda empty for 7:30pm on a Saturday night). It's very good, a little on the spendy side, but about what you'd expect when eating lakeside. I had an organic greens salad and grilled salmon which were quite good. My husband had the lobster bisque (too salty but tasty) and lobster ravioli with grilled shrimp (which he said was good but very rich). I had the Affogato for dessert which was an 11 on a scale of 10. Our bill was $107 without tip and we brought our own wine, which brings me to my next comment. $18 for corkage is simply ridiculous. That being said, Boccacios is one of the best restaurants in the area and we will be back again, despite the corkage.
Loved eating outdoors!
Great menu, beautiful lake view, good service and wandering ducks. A delightful lunch.
It was excellent as always! The view, the service and most of all food was excellent! Can’t wait to go back!
Very disappointed with all entrees. Very bland and poor presentation . Service was lacking as well. The server forgot to bring so.e entrees. We had to remind him.
Will not be returning.
First, the food is excellent, as is the ambiance. Everyone from the host to the waiters are polite and friendly. I love the location also. Good job all around and I come to you often with friends and business associates. Thanks
The host was very warm and accommodating. Food and service was excellent- would highly recommend!
Really good place to eat. The service is very attentive and food quality is consistently good. Nice romantic place to go as well. Worth a drive!
What a lovely restaurant! The food, ambiance and service was wonderful. Brought out of town guests and it was just perfect!
It cannot be denied that this is an absolutely beautiful location. Right on the lake in Westlake Village, surrounded by lots of fun shops and offices. Beautiful sparkling lake with a bunch of darling ducks floating on the water, and some Canadian geese checking out the green lawns. Convenient parking (though I imagine at peak times it gets mobbed and then parking would be difficult).
But what I can't get over is the very mediocre food. I was so surprised, given the many 4 and 5 star ratings, that the dishes were all so blah. There were four of us for a business lunch, so I was a little embarrassed because I had recommended this place and all diners were used to upscale restaurants.
Three of us started out with what they called vegetable soup. Vegetables??? There were none. The watery soup had a sickening grey color (from the mushrooms), a few carrots and that's about it. It was mostly barley. Absolutely disgusting. A total failure and not something that any real Italian restaurant would serve. I would bet the farm that there wasn't an Italian chef anywhere near the premises.
The seafood salad was absolutely a disgrace. Some big shrimp on top of boring lettuce with a few veggies. The chicken piccata looked the best, but it was paired only with a blob of oil/garlic spaghetti , and the chicken was just plopped on top of the pasta -- an absolute no-no in any really good Italian restaurant. Pasta always served on a separate plate.
My CPA and I both had the spaghetti bolognese, which is one of the true tests of an Italian restaurant. The sauce was tasty, but too salty, and the spaghetti was over cooked!!! No no no. Spaghetti has to be al dente, an egregious sin to overcook the pasta.
The service was lax and it took forever to get our second course.
That said, this place is very popular and there were both tourists and locals enjoying the beautiful day on the lake. But boy I sure wouldn't come here for the food.
Restaurant is pretty and when weather is great-beautiful view. Food was ok-mom had lobster tail-a little soft for me-we had lemon sole.
Had a great experience. Service was a bit slow, but Britney was very courteous and cordial. They were very accommodating to our needs. We were there for brunch. All our choices were excellent and pricing very reasonable especially for the location. We would definitely come again.
Outstanding food! Request a patio table to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake for double the enjoyment.
Great Restaurant. I've been many times and will continue to go back. Sitting outside near the lake provides for a wonderful evening.
Nice outdoor venue. quiet and relaxing. Great service. I had a Waldorf salad. Nicely done - Large portion. Others in party had seafood risotto which looked pretty good.
I have been going here for over 30 years....the menu has changed, not always for the better, but always great food, and I have never had anyone with whom I have gone question the great food or service (or even the plates....ridiculous!). Seated outside at sunset is romantic and makes for an extremely enjoyable evening. Great place...plates and all!
Serve all of their food in what resembles dog dishes. Would be a fine restaurant if they served on traditional flat plates. I won't be back until they do.
