Bocca Di Bacco (Theatre District - 45th St.) Ratings and Reviews
Food was great. Very very dimly lit. Very very hot. Some spoke English better than others. When we arrived the greater read my reservation which included a birthday person and a cake for her. Most people would realize that you don’t state that aloud Because you don’t want the birthday person to know that you got the cake. The desert that finally came with a candle was the tiniest piece of chocolate cake you’ve ever seen
My wife and I have eaten here several times! We have always been satisfied! However our last experience was not as rewarding! No bread in an Italian Restaurant? No linguini in an Italian Restaurant? My pasta came out within 10 minutes of ordering which suggests it wasn’t fresh made! It was definitely not al dente! We will not be back!
The service was good but the food was not very good at all. We were disappointed when we were told that only the brunch menu was available. our only option was the chicken pillared over salad. The salad was soggy, as if it had been sitting for hours. The chicken was tough, no flavor and tasted rubbery. The pasta carbonara that my son had was ok, but limited in flavor. My other son had the pasta bolognese and it was ok, the best of the three. I ordered the lobster avocado salad which was terrible. The only good part was the lobster. The avocado/onion mound was huge and so filled with onions it tasted terrible. I do not recommend this restaurant at all except for a pre-show drink.
Went before a show- they sat two people from our party right away even tho the rest of us were a little late due to traffic. Two in our group went to the other restaurant further up 9th avenue by mistake.Though it took a few minutes to get waited on, once we did our drinks and food came very fast. Everything was hot and delicious. The tiramisu was yummy. Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
The restaurant was an amazing neighborhood find! We went there after a Broadway show so it was late. The waiter as well as all of the staff were very friendly! We had a few appetizers and wine. The grilled octopus was delicious and reminded us of Spain. We also had grilled shrimp over Fava beans - yum! My husband had a minestrone soup that was unusual but delicious! We would highly recommend Bocca di Bacca!
Our meal was delicious! I got the special linguini with sausage, spinach, and white wine sauce and my husband got the veil masala. Everything was so flavorful. My son's meatballs were amazing. Would definitely recommend. Atmosphere was warm and romantic (ie.dark lighting) Bathrooms were downstairs and very clean. Prepare to spend a good amount on dinner, but it was worth it.
Excellent as usual. Food and service is fantastic. My friend and I shared a salad special. I had the shrimp stuffed banzino and my friend had risotto. We shared the saffron crème brulee . We each had a glass of primotivo with dinner.. Mmmmmmm I highly recommend...
Excellent service, great food selection, and great atmosphere. We arrived with the theatre dinner crowd, but it quickly thinned out around 6:30, and it's a very nice and laid-back place. They were also very accommodating for a picky eater (seven year old). Will definitely be back!
