The food is good and well-priced for a theater district restaurant. However, the restaurant is consistently unable to seat reservations on time. We routinely book a table for Saturdays at 6pm, a standard time for a pre-theater dinner reservation. Yet the restaurant does not manage its reservations well and we have almost never been seated on time. This most recent time we were seated 30 minutes late, certainly an issue when one has to make an 8pm curtain. The restaurant sped up our dishes so we had no timing issues, but that is not something that should be a routine occurrence (which it is).
Very good food and service. The tables were very close and the noise level was extremely loud.
I was pleasantly surprised that the food tasted very good and the prices were reasonable for NYC. Daughter had the gnocchi which were light and served in a lovely sauce. I had the lamb chops which were quite tender albeit not cooked to my specifications. I asked for it to be medium rare. They came out raw in the middle so I sent the back to be cooked a little more. They came back well done. My only complaint.
Food was delicious and service was great.
6 of us had a pre-theatre brunch. We allowed enough time so that we were able to spend time visiting and we were never rushed. We ordered a variety of pastas, burgers, eggs and salads and all were very satisfied with their food. This is a great location for a pre-theatre meal.
Excellent experience. I went with my girlfriend before a show and sat at the bar. Alfredo served us and went completely above and beyond. The food was great (I had the squid ink pasta which I would reccomend), the drinks were great, and the service was great. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will go back !
After a show - went there before and had same great experience
Went to this restaurant Saturday night with my fiancé before we went to see Lion King on broadway and we absolutely loved it. The food was great, the service was incredibly fast & professional. The portions of food were just right & the food was great. I loved the romantic vibe inside. The only downside for me was the music was a little bit TOO loud. Other than that, the service, the food, the place in general was fantastic. I’d definitely recommend this place to a friend & I will definitely be going back.
Birthday celebration and family reunion. Service was great, food not spectacular. We looked forward to this experience for a long time.
It was a bit overpriced but overall good food!
Second visit and still a great pick for a pre-theater dinner. Promptly seated and enjoyed quick service. Great salads to start. The salmon I ordered was fantastic. My wife's tortellini was tasty but a bit bland...no biggie. We will be back.
It was amazing! Food and service was perfect. Dined there for lunch and was quiet and just a wonderful experience. So delicious!!
Food was just not that good. It was the second time we’re ate there and both times we came away disappointed.
Great place for a date in the theater district.
Great food, all employees we had were friendly and efficient.
Would not go there again. Food was greasy. The whole place smelled like disinfectant.
We paid with a gift card and cash. Both the waitress and manager tried to convince us that the gift card had $80 when it should have had $100. After requesting the card back they insisted that they couldn't give it back or they wouldn't get their money. We then requested them to hand the card over for us to call customer service. With that request they decided to run it one last time (after supposed repeat attempts). Miraculously the card worked. They then brought out the change that was due from the cash. The waitress was very nervous and actually gave us way to much back ($20). Being honest we pointed it out. She then corrected her mistake, but still gave us more then the amount due ($2). Being tourist, we felt this was very much them taking advantage of us. I also feel like they thought we were "drunk" when we only had one glass of wine.
My wife and I were visiting NYC for the weekend and stumbled upon this on opentable. First off, the service was outstanding. Our food came out surprisingly quick considering how full the restaurant was. As for the food, we were highly satisfied. I had the Taglierini Neri Con Granchio(Squid ink pasta), which isn’t something I would normally order. It was good, but I would order something else next time. I just wasn’t crazy about it. My wife had the Tortelli Ricotta E Spinaci(Spinach/Ricotta Tortellini). It was phenomenal. You could tell both of our pastas were homemade and extremely fresh. For dessert we had the Creme Brûlée. You guessed it... also phenomenal.
This restaurant is very tightly seated so be aware if you are claustrophobic!
We were a party of 10- pre theater
Based on previous reviews, my expectations were very high. And they were surpassed. Given previous reviews, our reservation time was fully respected. And the service was certainly not rushed and we were given time to just sit and relax.
We enjoyed the bread and bruschetta, our shared meatball appetizer and loved our entrees. The tortellini is homemade and amazing. A very special entrée that many around us ordered and also enjoyed.
Hope to go back and enjoy other wonderful treats.
OpenTable should make it much clearer that when using a $50 reward, you will only receive a $25 value. Really bad business on the part of OpenTable.
Wonderful Italian restaurant! The food was outstanding and service was great. Restaurant close to the Majestic Theatre - Phantom of The Opera, just a short walk.
Excellent restaurant. A bit dark to see the menu but created a good ambiance.
The communication could be improved. I called to make sure the kitchen would still be open and got a few different answers. However, the food was amazing and they were accommodating. Thanks for a great meal!
Fuimos en familia. A celebrar Año Nuevo.
The food here was amazing! The service was exceptional with attentive servers that knew exactly when to stop by to be to check on you. The price was very reasonable as well, especially for how great the food was. We’d definitely recommend this restaurant to friends & family.
Came for New Year’s Eve dinner, food was amazing. Was quieter than we were expecting and there was a lot of staff who were just stood around, felt a bit awkward a times.
Everything here from food, to service, to atmosphere was excellent. Cannot wait to come back! Will definitely recommend!
Great Italian food in a cozy bustling setting. Definitely try this place
The food was good but we weren’t seated until almost 50 min after our reservation time. We had tickets to a show and therefore were extremely rushed. It was very disappointing as I previously had a great experience at the location in the 50s. The staff was apologetic and gave us champagne but it was a real bummer
Perfect spot to meet up with friends who came into the city from out of town to see an afternoon show in the theater district. Friendly staff. Great pasta!
Food is outstanding!
The food was good and reasonably priced. Great spot for brunch before a Broadway matinée.
Worse service and experience ever. The manager Lenny wasn't nice to us at all. He rushed us out for another reservation. I didn't even get to eat dessert or finish my drink. This place is a totally disaster. All the manager could tell us is that his sorry which is no excuse for his poor managing skills. I would expect that they want customers to come back to the restaurant but the way the manager handled us, he could care less. Sad to see a restaurant go downhill in this matter. I won't be coming back here for sure.
We were a party of five. We ordered pasta bolognese, plain rigatoni, Alfredo, beef carpaccio, the gamberini appetizer, and cheese appetizer. Everything was delicious. The pasta is house made and cooked to perfection. We ordered the chocolate cake, cheesecake and tiramisu. All three were delicious! Service was fantastic and noise level was perfect. I would highly recommend and return!
Diapoinring experience. Made reservations for dinner before a play. Waited 45 min after our reservation time along with several other tables who had also had reservations and waiting and equally upset. Finally gave up and had to eat at the bar to make it to play on time. The restaurant then sent a note that we were a no show!! Seriously!
I took my daughter to the city last minute. We won the digital
Lottery for the Donna summer musical. We looked on opentable while on the train coming into the city. This restaurant looked really nice and appetizing. We got there a little early we sat at the bar and waited for 10 min. The place was crowded but we got our table. The service was excellent and the food was amazing !! We will definitely go back. Was a great last minute find !!
The food was great until the restaurant manager asked us to leave because they had another reservation! Granted we had just paid our bill and thankfully did not order dessert. But, we were only seated for an hour and a half. I spoke to the manager and all he said was, “I’m sorry”. Not sure I will return.
Music and people conversión were
a little bit noisy.
Lukewarm service and food.
