Terrific food and service. Noise level only high because we were seated outdoors along the sidewalk. Extensive menu is reasonably priced for mid-town NYC.
Great pre-theater spot. Delicious drinks and food. Will go back!
The food was delicious, both the short ribs and the lamb shank. The atmosphere is very frenetic. It is noisy and the staff was running around here, there, and everywhere! We felt like we had to give our orders to the waiter as he was running past our table. The waiters seemed overwhelmed and were rushing around. It was a Saturday night just before theatre showtime so it was packed. The restaurant manage was very helpful and was glad to pitch in when needed.
We had a great meal and will frequent this restaurant in the future but it is not the spot for a quiet, romantic dinner.
Service was slow, some of the food arrived cold, inattentive waitstaff (maybe overbooked?)
Surprisingly great meal before the theater on a Friday night. Everything was scrumptious! Bronzino was top notch, and the salmon was delivered medium rare as requested. Sides were perfectly done. Service was gracious, but it was too slow for us to have time for dessert. We sat outside so it was easy to talk except for the occasional loud truck. I'd been to the Chelsea location a few times, but never this one, but I'd definitely go back again before another show.
the food was very good but the Waiters and Servers were no where to be found. I had to ask for water, bread, coffee etc.
Service was slow due to understaffing but otherwise a wonderful meal! Outdoor seating was very nice
Went here for a pre-matinee lunch with my mom. While the food tasted good, the service was slow due to understaffing. Also, there was only one sad lunch special option on the menu which made it pricy. We sat outside which was nice though a bit noisy due to cars but we were able to enjoy the weather.
Perfect for theater or just to dine a bit away from theater. Although only one waiter service was very good.
Nice ambience and reception. The octopus was cold and the pineapple in the drinks was spoiled. I’m not a fussy patron so I didn’t complain. I chose to enjoy the atmosphere
I booked this restaurant for my birthday dinner. The traffic was so disgusting but they were so nice about holding the table for my party. When we got their the staff that greeted us was just so nice and pleasant. The waiters were all super attentive and gave great advice on what to get. Food came out QUICK and hot. They also sang happy birthday to me. The general manager hands down was one of the best general managers I’ve seen work a floor. All in all it was a great experience! Insanely great night. 10/10 would recommend. You can’t beat the amazing food and customer service combo.
We had a terrific meal in the outside eating space on a beautiful evening. The inside space looked pretty. Service was prompt and attentive but also relaxed and non-invasive. We were attending a show so had a time limit and the service was perfectly paced. Excellent food, delicious wine.
We went there for our anniversary before heading to a Broadway show. The food started off pretty badly but the server David fixed the whole situation with his recommendation! The carbonara was amazing! I’ll be thinking about it for awhile now. David just showed exceptional service and we loved the feel of it all!
My friends and I sat outside. The staff was great! Very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. I appreciate all the hard work the staff provided. They had excellent team work.
Service was not good. It was obvious the restaurant did not have enough staff.
Great spot for pre theatre. Food, service and drinks were good and priced appropriately.
The host was the best part. He was lovely and the reason why we didn’t give 1 star.
The food was bland.
We were constantly accosted by people passing on the street—guess we should eat inside
Suggest to put up an opaque divider so people won’t try to pick us up while we eat
The food was amazing and the manager was delightful.
Love the salmon; great variety of pasta dishes! Very attentive service. This is my #1 go-to for pre-theater dining.
Good food for a good price.
We enjoyed our experience at Bocca Di Bacco thoroughly. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was sophisticated and calming.
Excellent food!! Love coming here after a matinee!
I sat outside, but the inside is very charming. Food and service were excellent. Great for a date or special occasion, as well as pre theatre. I look forward to eating at Bocca Di Bacco many more times.
We went to see Wicked on Broadway and we’re looking for a nice, reasonably priced place for dinner after the show.
Bocca Di Bacco was very nice. Staff very pleasant and attentive. Good atmosphere, good music ( thanks for the Motown/Sam Cooke)!
Food was fabulous. Just enough. Not too little, not too much. Overall great experience. We will absolutely return again when we are in New York City . We reserved for 5:15 on 09/25/2021.
Consistently great experience there. The food is amazing and the staff always makes you feel special. Pleasure to return - we are regulars.
Food was luke warm. They brought the wrong glass on
This restaurant has changed completely during the Covid period. If you knew this place two years ago, forget what you knew. To understand, look at the menu - not the one published by Open Table, which as usual is outdated and completely inaccurate. Follow the link to the restaurant web site and look at the menu there. Many of the old favorites are gone, but pizza is added and it is a nice menu altogether. A particularly nice aspect is the $32 wine list. I found a very nice super Tuscan there made by a Brunello maker. Another highlight was the host who is also the manager. He circulated through the restaurant. At one point he actually cleared plates from our table - not sure if that is a good thing or a bad indicator. But the service overall was prompt. We used it for pre-theater.
Perfect place to welcome Broadway Back! This is my go to restaurant for before shows! Food is amazing, especially their gnocchi! Atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is top notch! Highly recommend!!
Waiters have no mask and they did not ask for proof of vaccination upon entering.
Very nice secluded outdoor dining area - prompt courteous service and excellent food for a pre theatre meal - definitely recommended !!
There were a lot of flies at our table
Nice looking restaurant sat outside. Menu had some nice choices. Prices were reasonable. Service was lacking. Asked 3 separate times for some bread. Who doesn’t give bread at an Italian place. Salad had no dressing on it. Salmon was good.
Great food and service!
Welcoming and professional staff took great care of us! Good food and excellent wine list. We will definitely be back!
It was terrific to return to one of our favorite Theater District restaurants. The quality is still there.
Bocca Di Bacco is a very dope Italian restaurant that Is would recommend to anyone. The waiters and host were extremely nice and professional. The food was great!
This is still the best spot in Hell's Kitchen! I'm thrilled they are back and running💙 and best of all, Jesus is still there!!!!!
Overall a great experience! The manager and wait staff was very friendly and even gave us each a complimentary wine at the end of our dinner. I recommend if you're looking for good service and food.
Pasta was good, but not much else. Restaurant didn’t appear particularly clean, the cushions on the seating smelled like sweat and the table was sticky. We were seated right next to a huge party, which ended up being really loud. It was a little weird to go to an Italian restaurant that did not serve bread with their cheese plate. But the pasta was good.
