Food was good, service was slow, somewhat noisy. Halibut was very good but tortellini did not look like “ real” tortellini.. might return if I’m back in area
Food was delicious. Lots of good brunch and lunch options. Perfect for a pre or post theater dining.
Amazing service! Very friendly staff. Great food and wine. Not very pricey.
Wonderful restaurant, great service. Got us in and out quick in time for the show.
Every bite was delicious and the service was amazing!
Bocca di Bacco remains a go-to restaurant for us in the Theater District.
The tagliatelle with sausage and mushrooms was truly amazing! Great service and ambiance
It was a nice place to get a pre theater dinner. The food was good and service very pleasant. If I had one negative it would be the chairs. They were uncomfortable, but that might be because I had recently strained my back. All in all it was a fine experience; good service and food tasted fresh.
We went for a pre-theater lunch. The menu was varied and included some lunchtime menus. The food was good, and the servers were attentive. The clams and mussels appetizer was delicious, but the steak entree was just ok. The spinach was too salty to eat, but the French fries were perfect. My companion ordered a crabcake with mushroom salad and chicken parmesan which was reportedly good. Dessert was a choice of only tiramusu or panna cotta, which was just OK. I would definitely go back again.
Bocca is always a sure choice! I LOVE this place and always have a pleasant experience. The food, staff and service is great! Mauro the manager greeted us by our reservation and the staff was attentive and polite. Food was great as always and presentation was beautiful. Will be back again for sure.
We had never eaten at Bocca di Bacco, and wanted to try it post theater. The menu looked interesting and had a number of appealing items for a nice Sunday evening dinner. We were not disappointed! The group shared 3 appetizers, all were delicious. The rice balls, eggplant and shrimp dishes were very good. I really enjoyed my gnocchi entrée. Our whole party ordered pasta dishes and everyone really enjoyed them - very fresh and flavorful. The red sauce mixed with burrata cheese was great with the gnocchi. I tasted the spinach tortellini and those were also excellent. I would recommend pre- or post- theater, or for any other occasion.
Service was fast and food was great
I would definitely recommend Bocca Di Bacco. The food was very good. Presentation was very good. Service was also very good. It's a place that is bustling, loud and has very good food. I'll be back!
Even though it was early in the evening and not busy, the service was spotty. The food was mediocre at best. The worst part was they brought the wrong entree, then brought the wrong entree AGAIN.
It was an everyday adequate Italian meal. Good selection of wines by the glass. Service was fine and the room was also adequate. That was sort of the issue with a bill of $300 for the family of five it was just too much money for what it is. It is an average Italian restaurant servicing the theater crowd. Absolutely no compliants about the food which was all delicious
I advised the restaurant ahead of time that one diner was allergic to garlic but when we arrived with virtually no other diners in the restaurant the chef was unable to accommodate the diner and make a garlic free pasta without a cheesy or cream sauce. We have never before encountered such poor customer relations. We had to leave and find another restaurant. Needless to say, we won't be going back.
The food was just okay, as were the cocktails. I thought the prices were high for what we got.
The place feels a little cavernous and cold; tablecloths would help.
I wouldn’t return.
Excellent Italian food in a convenient location for theater goers.
This is the second time I've been to Bocca Di Bacco and it delivered both times! The food was delicious, the service great, and the atmosphere was lovely. If you're heading to a show or just taking in TimesSquare area...you MUST get to Bocca Di Bacco!
Bocca di Bacco is my go to when I am attending theater. I have never been disappointed. The location is great, the food and service outstanding.
It was a busy pre theater crowd so servers were stretched a bit thin, but food was terrific, and staff was nice.
Good for the theater crowd that needs to get in and out somewhat quick. The food was good and served hot but overall the experience there is to get you in and out and to your show (assuming you have one). I would have liked not feeling so rushed. The food though was very good. The fried calamari was nice and light and flaky. I had a gorgonzola pasta that was very tasty, although portioned a tad small. I would go back if I had a show to get to but otherwise not.
Food, drink and staff were all great. I have been to a three of the restaurants and it is always a great experience. Thank you always!
Delicious food and excellent prices. A little noisy, but not too bad. Great ambiance and staff
Always a delicious meal here. Fabulous, fresh home made pasta. We had a nice table for two in front of the floor to ceiling glass window so we got in some great people watching as we ate.
Excellent service. Savory, homemade pasta dishes. Will have to come back to try others. Waiter was on point with the wine selections.
Not enough stuff. Food took too long to arrive.
Very displeasing. The food just wasn’t that great for the cost. Our server had a difficult time splitting our tickets (nothing complicated we just each wanted to pay for our own food). We ended up just venmoing each other since it was easier. Took way too long for service to even take our order when we were one of 2 tables in the restaurant.
We were grabbing a meal before seeing a show. The service was excellent considering they were crazy busy. The Tri-colori salad was outstanding and I’m still craving it. Will definitely go back. Yummy!
Food was delicious- service accommodating and prompt-
Tables are a bit cramped
We felt really rushed at this restaurant.
The courses were delivered 5 minutes apart, food seemed pre-prepared and barely warmed prior to serving.
Not worth the cost
Excellent food and service. Our meal was outstanding. I didn't love my mixed drink. Shared a buratta appetizer and steak frites with my wife. Both so tasty. I'd go back. Theater district accessable.
Bread was good but the mains were ok. Monkfish was chewy and mediocre. Also, I booked it on opentable and also put a note it was for a birthday - no little free dessert with a candle which so many restaurants do as a courtesy. It was very rush in and rush feeling.
Service was way too rushed even when we told the maitre d’ about our experience. Food was average. We do not plan to go back.
This was our first time eating dinner at this wonderful restaurant and can't wait to return! For starters we ordered the lentil soup and caesar salad. Both were very good. For entrees, we shared the pollo crostino and ricotta and spinach tortellini which were both outstanding. Can't forget the tiramisu for dessert! We will definitely be back again!
Theater date night in The City!!
1st visit 10/12/19 Sat night before play, odd time though 8:30-9:45. Outside of normal theater pre show times. Very empty. Found online, not looking to spend a lot. Food was excellent! Split salad for app, really good, 2 pasta dishes for diner unbelievable. With a glass of wine $75+tip. Very nice atmosphere, close to theaters, but not the high prices of restaurant row 1 block over. Service was good, could have been a bit more attentive given mostly empty, but no issues. Would recommend - somewhat limited menu check beforehand to make sure you have ample choices.
The food was extremely good. Service was excellent. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
We dined at the restaurant after the Lion King matinee. The staff was very attentive and courteous. Our octopus appetizer was delicious. My husband had pork chops with potatoes and carrots in a honey tasting sauce. I had black pasta (tagliatelle) in a light red sauce with arugula, lump crab meat and shrimp. Both were spectacular! I would definitely go back.
