A little loud but food and service totally make up for it !
Meals are consistently great.
This was our first visit to Bocca Di Bacco. We loved it! It was adorable inside, the service was excellent, and the food was amazing!! We started with the Insalata Bocca Di Bacco. It was fresh and bright! For an entree, try the Tagliatelle with salsiccia and funghi!! The fettuccine and sausage with pink sauce was also excellent! It was a really hot day, so instead of wine, we enjoyed an Italian beer on tap! It hit the spot! We will definitely be back!
The service was EXCELLENT!! I had the risotto frutti di mare and it was amazing!!!!!! The tiramisu was soooooo good!!!
We will definitely be going back soon!!!!
We enjoyed our experience immensely. The dinner was excellent, the servers went above and beyond to see that we were satisfied. I will remember this restaurant when I return to NYC.
We were at a play down the street
It ended getting out later than our res
Even though we were 15 minutes late
We were greeted with a smile- no attitude
Feeling welcomed we were steated, our waiter was very attentive- we never felt rushed, he would check on us , never leaving us looking for him.
I appreciate the service , we left after the closing hours , not once ever feeling we should hurry & leave
Eating here was a great idea before going to a show. Server was prompt and variety of food was great.
The food and service are consistently good. It's a wonderful place to go to before the theatre.
Absolutely delicious food! Excellent welcoming service!
Great lunch experience
A very good combination of food quality, attentive service and location convenient to the theater district. I recommend giving Bocca Di Bocco a try.
The food is excellent. But...between the loud, unnecessary music and the noise of the. crowd, it was not a pleasant experience. It is unfortunate thus this restaurant, and so many others, think music adds. It does but to the noise. Having to shout to be heard by my friend across the table did not help.
Food, ambiance, everything was superb - definitely will go back the next time we are in NYC.
One of my fav restaurants in the Theater District.
Chose this restaurant because it was listed as a good option between Parts 1 & 2 of The Cursed Child. The restaurant itself was a convenient walking distance and the service was fast enough to get us back to the theater with plenty of time. The food though was not good. Antipasto first course was as expected - can’t really mess up cheese and meat and a crusty bread. The gnocchi though was dense and the sauce overly salted. The grilled vegetables in a Parmesan basket was plain bad. Strange mix of vegetables - radish, pickled beets, carrots, zucchini in what seemed like a teriyaki sauce. The basket was actually inedible. Because of timing we just didn’t say anything but would not recommend.
The service was slow, our food was cold and not what had been ordered.
Great food and quick service
We've eaten at the downtown sister restaurants, always loved the food, but this one seemed even better. Everything tasted exquisite and unique! A wonderful date night choice, though also great for friends' meals.
It was fine. I think I expected a bit more flavor and freshness from my food based on reviews.
Went with 3 girlfriends prior to seeing a Broadway show. Our service was great, we had plenty of time to eat and visit the rest rooms. Food choices were great , very reasonably priced. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Sent my daughter and her boyfriend there, she raved how great everything was. They loved it!
We were seated right away at the beginning of dinner service. Restaurant was initially empty but filled up quickly. We experienced very attentive service. Caesar salad and insalata mista were fresh, italian bread was addictive. Pastas were delicious-we tried bolognese and gnocchi, wonderful. Rosemary roast chicken was very good, juicy & tender. A great place to eat before catching an 8 pm performance. Sadly, we had no room for dessert!
Service is always amazing here!
Had been here before and returned for another great meal. The meal was in fact good but not great. The shrimp dish was tasty but over cooked. The fried chicken had to go back to the kitchen as it was not fully cooked in the center. It was a pleasant enough meal but not memorable.
Love this place. It’s our pre-broadway dinner spot a few times a year. It never disappoints. The gnocchi is fantastic!
Love this place! Sitting up front and watching the NYC NIGHTLIFE. Great wine list and an amazing staff. Food is excellent as is the presentation
We had a reservation at noon on a Wednesday since we were going to a 2pm matinee. We arrived on time and were immediately seated . There were only 3 other tables with customers when we arrived . Our salad came at about 12:20. That was the last we saw of anyone returning to our table until about 12:50 when we called the waitress over to find out why we hadn’t received our lunches . She disappeared and never returned with her response .....In the meantime another group of 6 including 2 children unhappily left without receiving their entire meals . Finally at 1:15 they brought our lunch . We had to leave by 1:30 to get to the theater . This will be the first and last time we eat at Bocca di Bacco!!
Great find! Around the table, we had avocado toast, Caesar salad w tuna and fettuccine with meat sauce. Everything was delish!
The service - or should I say, the lack of service - was awful. And the food - mediocre at best.
Food was very tasty. Service was prompt but not rushed. Convenient to theater.
Best pasta ever!! Great flavor, texture and a unique taste.
Overall everything was good if you like to talk over the meal is not the best place for!!
The food is great and always comes out tasting fresh. One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been too in New York.
Everything was delicious!
Excellent meal. All the apps and entrees were very good. Calamari nice and tender. Attentive staff. Glad we sat toward the front of the restaurant. The back seemed a lot noisier. Definitely will be back.
Our go to when seeing a show in NYC! It never disappoints!
This restaurant is excellent and very close to all the shows. I would eat here again whether I was or was not seeing a show.
Fantastic ambiance, excellent food, excellent service!!
The grilled octopus was perfection, and the best I have ever eaten, save for ones I had in Europe where it was super fresh from sea to a chef's grill then to my dinner plate. The fried calamari appetizer- some pieces were overcooked and chewy, while others were just right.
The grilled branzino was very tasty and also absolutely delicious and also prepared perfectly as well.
My dining companion and I both had the tiramisu dessert which was moist, but not soggy and not overly sweet.
Can't rave enough about this place and the chef- it is a gourmet's delight. Looking forward to going back again and again.
1. I paid for and ate half of a delicious Parmesan-crusted chicken, knowing much of it would go home because of other things I ordered. Asked to take the rest home. Got home to find they left out the large portion of chicken and only gave me the left-over veggies. Somebody ate my next days lunch. They owe me $14! Seriously.
2. It's a very good pre-theater restaurant - the food is good, the service is hopeful if not always super attentive when they are pre-theater busy.
3. The noise level is abominable and should be fixed. No reason for them to not take it down somehow. They could also change the awful giant neon sign with their name on the outside.
4. As you can tell I'm annoyed about the take-home, but they are otherwise generous in portions and food is tasty and fresh.
