Came here to celebrate a small birthday dinner on a week night. The staff was absolutely amazing from the first second we walked in. Super friendly, super personable, super attentive. The inside of the restaurant is also so beautiful!
The food was also sooooo delicious. Already thinking about the next time I can go back for more of the Fusilli Norcia.
Great meal. All four dishes ordered were great.
Got together with friends we had not seen in a year, and who are moving out of the city. We had been to Bocca years earlier so it was like we came full circle. It was a Monday night and the restaurant was empty, so it felt like we were dining privately. Food and service were excellent!! Our only complaint was that it was a little hot in the restaurant.
Excelente restaurante. El ambiente es muy bueno y la comida deliciosa.
Service was terrible
I had dined at B di B at least once a week for over a year when I lived just a few steps away on Ninth Avenue, but, since moving to Eleventh and with the pandemic, only once since its reopening. On my return with a friend for my birthday dinner on a Saturday evening this June, I was joyfully welcomed by my server friend Nunzio who provided us with his high level of care. Although the half-full dining room was emptier than expected, the familiar menu was little changed except with additional pastas and temporarily without special offerings. The seafood courses I selected, the octopus followed by branzino, and my friend's pasta dish were perfectly cooked. Since my luscious birthday cake was waiting at home, we left after finishing our mains. When I arose, Nunzio, just as he had often done, left his station to escort us and held open the door.
The entire experience is top notch for us! Delicious fresh authentic food. Friendly knowledge service, as well. We keep going back. ✨🌟✨🌟
Clearly understaffed. This is not the place to go if you're looking for a quick bite. The food was excellent and the staff was trying their best. Can't imagine what they would have done if the place was busy, which it was not. The place was very loud. Don't like to scream to others at the table.Used to be a favorite place to go for brunch. Not anymore
Despite being our of their Montepulciano wine, it did not detract from an overall great dining experience.
Waited 45 mins to order. Then the food took another hour to arrive. No free bday dessert.
We had such a great meal that we returned the next night with friends. I am an Italian home cook, too! Highly recommend!
The staff was so friendly and kind! The nicest guys in New York. Will definitely be taking my family and friends back!
Amazing! Come see Gustavo and the team here, sounds like an inside review but isn't. They are just so gracious and friendly we felt like family before we left. Frequent visitors to NYC but first time back since pandemic. Had a great time here with fabulous food and service. Partner had pizza, I had pasta. An accidental mess-up on the drink order was corrected in the most gracious and warm way I have EVER experienced at ANY restaurant. Highly recommend!
Best Mother’s Day ever! Food was incredible and the drinks were delicious.
Our food was good. The linguine with clams was very good. The pasta with grilled chicken and sundried tomatoes was good. The gnocchi were good. Neither of those two were that special. The service was okay.
Well am I ever glad BdiB finally opened up again. This is one of my goto restaurants in HK and I was seriously missing the food from this Italian kitchen. While they have yet to add a risotto back to the menu, I can deal with the other selections and my niece and I had a lovely dinner sitting outside.
Cannot recommend this place enough. Delicious food, charming waitstaff, and the perfect ambiance! On May 4th they even had the Empire Strikes Back playing on the TV at the bar! Will definitely be back to try even more of the menu.
The overall experience was great. The host was attentive and kind. My fiends and I had brunch. They kept the drinks coming and the food was good.
Food was so good and their wine list is reasonable with very good selection.
Will definitely be coming back.
Service was excellent.
Went there for brunch for my grandma’s bday and it was soo nice. From the time we walked through the door everything was amazing. The food was awesome. Everything we had was great. Ugh!! The best part was the Mimosas!!!!
My boyfriend and I love this restaurant! The pasta carbonara is my favorite
We went here with our family to celebrate a birthday. We were a big group and they accommodated our requests. The service was slightly slow, I guess that could be attributed to covid and staff shortage. Overall food was good. They did not have all the wines on the menu, but again I would say that was probably due to covid. They have lot of options on the menu and are offering the entire menu to patrons.
Insane price, poor quality pasta, would not even show the bottle for the wine we ordered.
Very poor service and grocery store Caesar salad.
Food was very good, shrank menu, I guess due to COVID-19 and the Holiday. I will go back to try lamb ragu, when available.
Why a great restaurant! They were so accommodating, friendly and fast! Great food and service. We had a huge stroller and 2 kids and they were not phased at all. I was so impressed. Wonderful experience, will definitely be coming back.
What a great find in Hell's Kitchen!
We had a party of 10 this past Friday evening and everybody raved about the place and food. We were warmly welcomed upon entering and made to feel right at home.
We started with salads and finished every deliciously dressed leaf. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara and have to say it is the best I have ever had! Another person had the salmon and it was a large piece presented beautifully and seasoned and cooked perfectly. Although we all felt we couldn't eat another bite, desserts were irresistible! Service throughout was seamless and smooth and very friendly.
We will definitely be back when we're in NY again, but for now will fondly reminisce about our visit.
Food great and staff amazing. We had a great time and very happy they are open again.
So wonderful to welcome Bocca di Bacco back to the neighborhood! The dining room is just as beautiful, cozy and rustic as ever, and the tables are nicely spread out for safety. I had the most wonderful branzino with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. And the profiteroles for dessert were absolutely awesome. The service was outstanding and the prices so reasonable. One of the best Italian restaurants in NYC!
Enjoyed the food particularly the octopus which was grilled to perfection. Service was great . We will definitely go back to this neighborhood gem .
We got a reservation for Saturday night. Simply a wonderful attention form the staff and great food
Pure coincidence that I made the reservation n to knowing it was their first day back in business! Lucky for us! The pizza ovens were done but we had a great meal, a welcoming staff, and the same warm ambience we've come to expect from this neighborhood treasure.
So friendly and cozy. The squid ink pasta with seafood was devine...spent a few hours enjoying the food wine & company and it felt like minutes...the server was helpful & nice...can't wait to go back!!!
Brunch, friendly and excellent service
Brunch was awesome, great food, great drinks and even better service and music! We will definitely be back I miss it already!
Food and service were excellent. Just get rid of the background music. Heavy bass all through dinner.
We celebrated a birthday, but we’ve been there on a non-special occasion and it was just as delightful, service and food.
I’m so incredibly happy with our choice to dine at Bocca. My roommate’s mother and aunt were visiting from Australia. It was their first night in NYC and we wanted to impress them. Success! The service was perfect. Nunzio even made us feel super special, like we were his only table (on a bustling Friday night at 8pm) and the food was wonderful. I had the salmon cooked medium. It was perfect. The caramelized onions were sooooo good. Others had the seafood special, linguini with squid ink and seafood. The only miss was the claw of the lobster was underdone. Perhaps the claw was sticking out of the pot while boiling. It didn’t stop us and the flavors were terrific! The noise was a bit loud, but as we sat down we were fine at the table. The noise became and energy and best of the busyness of the restaurant. They were all so happy with our restaurant choice after their long 24 hours of travel. And NYC made a great impression on them instantly! We will return. Thank you!
