Had such a good time, large brunch party. The downstairs is awesome.
Chef Roberto is excellent! Waitress Denise takes good care of her customers. Service is excellent!
Great find in Chelsea, special cocktails are delicious, happy hour very reasonable.
Service and food on point. Thank you for a perfect evening.
great food, great service, great ambiance... in a nutshell a well managed place. i work in the industry for a long time and i can see the work that has been put in this place.
feels more like a family run business. my new go-to place in Chelsea.
What an outstanding experience. i underestimated that place. went there last Sunday with my girlfriend. instantaneously when you enter you are greeted by mellow music and warm lighting. nice atmosphere. they were pretty busy for a Sunday but the hostess sat us near the window at a big table. great wine selection, great food, great service. Denise, our waitress was amazing and very personable. Best Halibut i had in a long time. 5 stars!
We love this restaurant. We've been to the Theater district and the Chelsea locations. Both amazing. Service is impeccable. Food is beyond yummy. One of the best in the city.
I don’t even know where to start. All I can say is in my ten years living here, this was far and away the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Service HORRIFIC, food even worse and some stale.
We made a reservation for 8 people 6 weeks in advance. We showed up 5 minutes before our reservation and a table wasn’t ready. Totally fine. Except that they sat a party of 5 at their two tables of 8 and didn’t have any left. So let’s compensate. Put 4 two tops together, great! Well they are different heights so they recommend we split up our families and sit separately for a holiday dinner. L-O-L
So we sit down 15 minutes later ready to put it past us but after we sit, we wait another 15 minutes for our drink order to be taken. Waitress comes over and spills the first drink she pours. No apology, no cleanup.
20 minutes later out comes our appetizers (totally acceptable). Oh you ordered prosciutto and melon, well we don’t have melon so here’s some unwashed grapes!!! How perfect!
20 minutes later out comes our entrees (totally acceptable). Except the bus boy left it on a pop up table and didn’t serve us. It sat there for FIVE minutes before we were served. Half of the 8 plates were cold and stale toast was included with one of the dishes. Oh you wanted black pepper and cheese with your pastas??? Who would ever think that at an Italian restaurant?!?! Let’s bring that over 10 minutes after they eat.
While they offered desserts for the table, we couldn’t spend another second in the restaurant. It was torture. They didn’t take anything off the bill and the owner told me, “don’t tip if you don’t want to then”. Another L-O-L. The guy doesn’t even have the heart to back his staff! I don’t support people like that nor do I enjoy dining experiences as such. Crossing this one off your list.
The tuna entree is delicious. Service is excellent and Chef Roberto is super!
Great spot, dark, great service and romantic.
We can always count on Bocca Di Bacco for delicious food, and it is a great place to go with friends because there is a wide variety of available dishes. Also, they never rush you to leave so plenty of time to chat. Sometimes the service is a little slow, though, waiting too long for our check.
We were there for late lunch, so just a few people around.
One of the best octopuss I've ever tried, and the Panna Cota was amazing!
Dined with a party of 6. Very happy with the food and service. very prompt. Definitely woud go there again and certainly recommend Bocca Di Bacco to anyone.
Noisy, dark, food was just ok!
They have a great brunch special. $25 added to each persons tab for unlimited bloody mary's, mimosas, and screwdrivers. Food was tasty and plenty of options for health nuts and not. Brought a bachelorette party here and everyone had a good time!
perfect for dinner at work.. we ordered a bottle of wine, the eggplant , pesto pasta, and a fish that were all delish. you might even spot a celeb while there... we did :) Would go back.
Mediocre ambiance and way too loud...food was below par..plenty of other good Italian restaurants in New York City. Pricing was outrageous (I know that NYC is expensive but for those prices I expect great food).
Wonderful; food excellent
I loved everything about the place. Our waiter was fantastic.
I'd go back.
We had a dinner for 26 people in the private room on the lower level. The price was very fair, food great, big portions. Very professional and patient manager in arranging and discussing details. Highly recommended.
Second time we've been there because of its proximity to the Atlantic Theatre. Ample choices on the menu. I had the branzino atop a bed of broccoli rabe which was excellent. Service was a little sketchly. Waiter was unable to fulfill request for the melanzane as a main course instead of an appetizer. Overall, I would go there again.
Food was good overall but service was not. Server did not bring what we asked for (extra ketchup, did not refill any drinks when we ordered more, bread for the table). Server rushed us through the meal and asked us to leave at the end of the meal so another group could have our table. Would not recommend to others and will not dine here again.
I would recommend this place for cocktails but the food is less than mediocre. My pests was seriously not good. Lots of cream very little cheese and light on basil. When I asked to exchange it the waiter was annoyed and told me it was popular. He offered no option. He remained irritated for the remainder of the meal. I left the dish untouched- only the busboy seemed concerned that a dish was returning to the kitchen untouched. Disappointing as I like the decor and adult crowd. The cocktails are very good. So again- drinks not dinner
Atmosphere and food was delicious. Server was excellent. My only complaint is it took forever to get food out.
Terrible service. Painful. Food was good but the wait staff couldn’t care less. Example brought martini with a twist instead of dirty.... tried removing lemon peel putting in olive juice and re serving ...
Always a pleasure to stop in for brunch before a show. We were pressed for time but service was prompt. A little disappointed in the crab cakes. The crab cakes were good however the mushrooms were not as tasty as before. Calamari was delicious. Had their steak tartare been available at room temperature it would have been my preference
Wait staff a bit snooty, impatient. Food was fine and pricey.
nice people. freshly made pasta, heavy on the carb options, near the Atlantic Theatre.
Great underrated brunch option in Chelsea. Huge portions, great choices. A good amount of food for the price. Service was a little slow. We come often for a casual impromptu dinner, perfect neighborhood spot
This was my first time dining at Bocca and it won’t be my last. The food is delicious and prices are reasonable
Perfect place for dinner before a performance st The Joyce or NY live Arts
The octopus appetizer was delicious. The baked salmon was more done than I like, although I asked for medium rare. The noise level was perfect when we arrived, but became much louder before we left. I couldn’t hear my companion over the noise.
Pretty unfortunate. There's a reason there are so many tables available...
Lovely atmosphere, we had brunch. Food was delicious and it was great for our group.
Great food. Wonderful service. Specially drinks are awesome. You could have a delicious meal for a good cost.
Best lunch spot - all staff were great from manager , server ... best value of food , excellent service , variety of choices for lunch menu , definitely recommending this place
Occasional brunch before going to show. Discovered their bar menu with a version of steak tartare. the only issue I had with this dish is that it would have been more tasty had it been served at room temperature. It was very cold like the meat was just removed from the refrigerator. Crab cakes with mushrooms are excellent. Great background music
Great Birthday place
It's a shame because the food here was quite good, the restaurant is attractive, the service okay, but the NOISE level is ridiculous. They play loud rock music which means everyone at the tables has to speak LOUDLY to be heard, increasing the noise level even more. Some people don't mind this, and you could argue that you may get used to it afte awhile, but still it lessens the comfort level to a considerable degree. Too bad.
My friend and I went to Bocca Di Bacco for the last day of restaurant week. We were shown to our table and given menus. We had to ask for the restaurant week menus. I ordered the salad which was too salty even for me (my friend said that it must be really salty if I was complaining about it). I ordered the steak medium. It was a tad dry and the potatoes were tough. I left most of it on the plate. The tiramisu and coffee were great, however. My friend seemed to like what he was eating, but I don't think he was about to comment since I was paying. I found the waitress to be nice, but a tad abrupt. I don't believe she could help it, it seemed to be part of her personality. A Kettle One martini was $14.00 and a glass of wine was $15.00. The portions were big. By the time we left the restaurant was packed. I just related my experience.
The noise level was high and the food very mediocre. I would not return
