Sat at high top Bar table. Yummy apps from bar menu & $1 oysters/ meatballs and refreshing cocktails. Great music. Great service. Good ambiance. Will be back again and again!
Since we are in the midst of the city choosing to hunker down during the COVID-19 scare, the restaurant was pretty empty and it was hard to judge the atmosphere as a result. However the service and food were Fantastic! We started with the grilled octopus which was seriously the best I've ever had. Then we each had a pasta dish which were both delicious.
our first time at this location and will return. very attentive service, good food and drink and very accommodating.
The food was amazing, the service was great! Definitely recommend!
Service was incredibly slow. Took over 20 minutes to get each drink even though neither the bar or restaurant were full. 2 members of the party were late and the staff tried to take the table away when we were already having appetizers and squeeze the rest of us into a smaller table, even though there were many open tables around us. Food was good, but overall service and treatment by the staff was bad enough that I will not return or recommend.
The menu was not the same as shown on their website for this location it was significantly more limited which was disappointing. For example, I wanted the pasta carbonara which is shown on their website to be on the Chelsea brunch menu but was not. We went for brunch on a Saturday and were one of only 3 tables in the restaurant for the entirety of our meal and service was still slow. The mimosa deal is decent and the food was good but I all things considered I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for brunch.
It was great! The food was amazing and the service was incredible. It was really dark, and hard to read the menu (had to use our phones), but other than that it was delicious.
The restaurant was almost empty although it's been there for quite a while.
The food arrived promptly, good service, but the food itself was not hot. We were in a hurry so we didn't have time to send it back, which I don't like to do in any event. That shouldn't have to happen.
Incredible food. Salmon and octopus were amazing. Can’t believe I haven’t noticed this neighborhood gem before. A new staple.
Food was standard, good portions. Romantic lighting and ambience. Dessert was a microwaved afterthought (the apple semosa (sic))
A tad expensive but large portions so we took home enough for a second meal after we had split a dessert.
It was Valentine’s Day and I waitress was overwhelmed.
What a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner. They had a very talented trio playing throughout the evening. Will definitely be returning.
Great food! Attentive staff.
Disappointing that you have to sit at the bar for happy hour wine...we would have definitely had ordered more if we could have had happy hour service at our table. It wasn't even busy so we were a little surprised to hear that. I will not be coming back unless this policy changes!
Great time with friends. Food was good, service was very friendly and attentive.
Great pre-theatre dinner. Service attentive and aware of our timing which I only mentioned in open table reservation. Cozy and delicious
Great place for a quick and affordable lunch! I love the grilled octopus.
NEVER RETURNING. Have eaten there three times and once in Hell's Kitchen location. Kept going because of good experiences, but something has seriously deteriorated. When you add major rudeness to incompetent service it's beyond. food has declined as well. was above average now mediocre. they need to make changes or leave the world of hospitality immediately. serious dissapaointment.
excellent time! our go-to Italian spot in Chelsea!
Romantic dinner. Lots of space. dim lighting, soft jazz, good wine selection and great authentic Italian food.
Went there for my girlfriends birthday party. They were able to accommodate our table request by the banquets. cozy table. Our waitress was very nice. All of us had a great time and enjoyed our dinner very much. In the end they brought us a chocolate cake with a sparkler and played happy birthday by Stevie wonder. Nice touch. Thank you for a great time!
The restaurant was extremely busy. Good for the restaurant but not for us as patrons. We go here often and it was not their usual best. Cocktail didnt come as ordered nor did my entree. Had to request bread. All were rectified quickly but that's not the way it should be. We will forgive once so please get back to your A game.
We had our reservation for Friday 7pm. We hung out at the bar. The place was packed. I am drinking Old-fashioned cocktails for years. I kid you not, theirs are the best in the city and for happy hour they're only 10 bucks. I'll be there every day. Great drinks. Food was delicious and service spot on. I had no idea that there are cool spots in Chelsea. Boy was I wrong.
We had a good experience on a recent Friday evening. The food was fine, however our server was rather pushy and impatient. She tried to rush us into to ordering but mellowed as the evening went on.
Restaurant week. very busy restaurant. service spot on.
Restaurant week with my husband. We enjoyed our dinner very much.
We had a good time. biscotti with your coffee, just one of the many details that sweetens the deal.
Service was too slow, it took over 40 mins to get our meals ready
My and five of my girlfriends went there for a nice Sunday dinner. We celebrated a friends birthday. We went there early. Dining room filled up over the course of the night. We had a delicious dinner and ended up staying all night. They also brought us a chocolate cake with a sparkling candle to the table. Very attentive and personable service.
Bocca di Bacco is cozy warm spot with delicious food.
Very nice dining
Terrible food and service. Do not recommend at all.
Nice Saturday night out at Bocca di Bacco before heading to the standard hotel for drinks.
Always a great place to come back to. Staff is very personable, remembers your name and your preferences. Food is consistently good and the wine list is solid.
Food, wine and service exceptional. creamy and tasty burrata, tender delicious steak frites.
Greeted by handsome tall German man. very witty and charming fella. I had a really great time there. The entire experience was very un-pretentious and authentic. So was the food. Authentic Italian cuisine.
My go to Italian in Chelsea. My favorite appetizer is the octopus and my favorite main course is the halibut.
Romantic and elegant setup. Service attentive and friendly. Number One in Chelsea.
I was there a few days ago with my wife and I really enjoyed everything from this place. The food was amazing we had Minestrone soup Frito misto and the grilled octopus to start, our main courses were the Grilled Branzino and the black squid ink pasta, everything was cooked at perfection and the flavor was absolutely delightful congratulations to the Chef .
The service was outstanding, very good wine list all employees very helpful and attentive we will definitely be back soon.
Nice romantic dinner. Food and ambience stood out. Service was attentive.
