Bocca Di Bacco (Chelsea - 20th St.)
Indoor and outdoor tables available. Requests are first come first serve.
Bocca Di Bacco is a New York City Restaurant Group establishment from dynamic restaurateur and New York native Robert Malta, who owns nearly a dozen restaurants throughout the city. “I’ve been in the business 25 years,” Malta says. “I opened the first Bocca Di Bacco in Hell’s Kitchen in 2007 and it quickly became a neighborhood favorite. The Chelsea location is an evolution of what we’ve been offering. There are new menu items, and a more refined look and feel, but it’s still a great spot for the neighborhood any night of the week.”

This was our second time at the restaurant but first time at the Chelsea location. Safe to safe it was disappointing. The food was probably the worse Italian food I’ve ever had , probably even the worse food I’ve ever had period. The spaghetti lobster pasta dish was so bland and lacking flavor I had to send it back( first time ever doing that at a restaurant) for the carbonara which was just as bad. Took three spoonfuls and left it on the table. Neither dish had any taste to it whatsoever except for the taste of unseasoned butter. The waiter comped our drinks which was nice and appreciated but never once did a manager stop by or come over. Didn’t even see one walk around or greet any other tables. Safe to say it was the most disappointing meal I’ve ever had. Don’t waste your time here when there are countless better options.
Other than attentive waitstaff, the food was average with some of our dishes being okay and others being disappointing. The zucchini frites were excellent and the calamari crispy. The focaccia that came in the bread basket was absolutely terrible, stale and lacking flavor. The three pasta dishes we tried were well seasoned and tasted fine, however the lamb shank and breaded pork lacked flavor.
I've been to all the other locations but this one and let me tell you, this was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our server (Mal) brought us over some delicious welcome drinks and he was very informative about the menu and offered some good recommendations. We loved the calamari and we had the fusilli and carbonara to share, very very good. Slight gripe was the bread but it didn't over shadow the experience.
Great atmosphere and great music. I'll be dining here many more times to come.
During the post pandemic we found this to be a good value and pleasant dining experience. Quality food and great service.
The service was great and our waiters were kind and enthusiastic. The food was average to good so it was a little expensive for the value, but they had a good menu and fun drinks and their outdoor dining was a plus. Overall great experience!
Had wonderful dinner food was awesome
My friend and I shared the fried zucchini appetiser, she had the branzino with mixed veggies - nice big potion, well seared and seasoned. I had the short ribs with mashed potatoes- very tender and flavourful with fluffy buttery mashed. We each had a cocktail we enjoyed. The service was great- very attentive and accommodating. We will definitely be back as it never disappoints.
Great experience! The food was delicious and they sang beautifully for my friend’s birthday!
good food great location, amazing service, great bar
Good food & very good service. Definitely will go back!
Great food, we were met with welcome shots and lovely staff. The music was perf and the vibes were great
Would definitely dine here again!
I missed sitting at the bar and I'm so happy that this place has bar seating again. Just a great place to grab a drink after work and its not too loud so you feel like you can wind down after a work day. Food is just as good if not better and I will continue to visit.
Always a great experience, great food, and great service.
Great atmosphere inside and excellent service. Prices were reasonable and food was excellent. Overall would definitely return and plan to do so!! This review is for Chelsea location on 9th Avenue
Amazing food! Will be going back very soon!!
We sat outside and had a great dinner with really good food. We will continue to return.
Had a wonderful time at Bocca di Bacco! Food was yummy (the truffle fries are a yes) and the bottomless was fantastic — no need to ask for more as they leave the pitchers on the table (and are quick with the refills) and the staff are in no rush to hurry you out. Very attentive and accommodating service. And didn’t feel crowded with our lovely table outside. Will definitely be returning!
I made a reservation for dinner and there was no wait. They provided a specialty shot on the house. Servers were attentive. All the food was delicious, as well as drinks.
Food quality was excellent. Service was great with friendly staff. Highly recommended.
I simply love this place and its my second time back. Decided to dine inside and was so pleased to see the restaurant is taking the right steps to keep guests safe. Abigale was our server and she was very knowledgable about the menu and the drinks. Great vibe inside and cool music. They even brought out a sparkler for my boyfriends birthday. We'll be back next time we're in NYC.
Great customer service , loved the environment, the food and cocktails.
I will definitely be coming back to this location.
Outdoor dining was very well set up. The noise level is quite loud inside so having the outdoor option was most welcome.
Wonderful experience when my husband I dined here. Loved the welcome drinks and our pastas were delicious! Edison was our server and he was very attentive. Definitely be back.
Service was awful. Only time we saw our waiter was when he took our order. He never came back around to ask if we needed drinks or anything. We then noticed he was the only one serving the entire restaurant which was full. It also took forever to get his attention to ask for bill. We could have dine and ditched and no one would have noticed. Restaurant needs to hire more waiters or stop over booking. On top of it all, food was not worth its price. We had pasta carbonara which tasted bland and made with a watered down Alfredo sauce with bacon thrown on top. The chicken Paillard was also beyond bland. Never returning.
It’s a good place but they did not accommodate our party of 5 very well so it was a bit upsetting
I actually wrote a great review for this place on Yelp so I recommend checking that out, but this place was fantastic. Great value and fun lively atmosphere.
I loved the restaurant and the way they treated my mom and I for her birthday!!
Food was amazing, will definitely be going back. Service however, was a bit lacking my group and I felt more like a bother than diners.
Everything was great. Great service!
This is my second time to this restaurant and I really can't say enough good things about the food, service and the staff. Always so welcoming and its just a nice relaxing atmosphere to be in when having an early dinner. Darwin was our server this time and he was very attentive. Last thing we noticed is that the chef makes fresh bread here daily and its delicious!
Service was trash.
Great brunch! Got really good pasta and bloody Mary’s
I made a reservation for my boyfriend and I and we were nicely seated right away, but unfortunately in between three big birthday parties, so it was really loud our whole time. The welcome shot was delicious, drinks were super cool, but the food was very expensive for such small portions. Absolutely delicious, I just wish I would've had some more for the price we paid. Service was very nice and everybody was helpful. Overall, great place, good service and food, but its pretty packed and there is just not enough food on each dish for its cost.
Had an awesome time here again for brunch and felt like I had to write this review. Can’t beat the $25 bottomless drinks and we loved the sangria. Burger was also delicious! Friendly and attentive staff. Defo a great brunch spot in NYC.
They were super attentive, and the ambiance was nice. The food was delicious and they have a great wine selection .
Great date spot! Nice vibe and cool music. I tried the Mint Condition cocktail and it was delicious. Great service, very attentive and the staff know their stuff.
We absolutely LOVE this restaurant! We were so happy to return.
Everything was delicious and the staff was wonderful!
One small request, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the mushroom bruschetta!! I dreamt about it for a year and when it was no longer on the menu I was heartbroken!
Otherwise A+ love the place!
