Bocca Di Bacco is a New York City Restaurant Group establishment from dynamic restaurateur and New York native Robert Malta, who owns nearly a dozen restaurants throughout the city. “I’ve been in the business 25 years,” Malta says. “I opened the first Bocca Di Bacco in Hell’s Kitchen in 2007 and it quickly became a neighborhood favorite. The Chelsea location is an evolution of what we’ve been offering. There are new menu items, and a more refined look and feel, but it’s still a great spot for the neighborhood any night of the week.”

    Love this restaurant for dinner. First time for brunch. Services was fine, food is above average (frittata) . Would have like some toast without having to request it. Then one measly slice not sure it was buttered! But, my biggest complaint was the deafening noise. There was no getting away from it. We probably should have not been seated when we heard it as we entered the space. The host gave us a choice of anywhere to sit but no place was quiet enough to have a decent conversation. Unless you love noise skip brunch and go for lunch or dinner.

    First time in the USA so first experience of Thanksgiving. Thank you to the Bocca Di Bacco team for making it a lovely experience. Service fantastic. The Turkey Roast was incredible. Highly recommend!

    Service was not attentive and felt rushed. Some of the food arrived cold and bland. Olive Garden had better food. It was super louder and we had to tell to have a conversation.

    The place was excellent. Very good food and service. But when I first entered at 4:55 PM, I didn’t have a reservation. The snotty hostess told me I’d have to sit at the bar, even though more than half the tables were empty. So I went to the bar, opened up Open Table, and made a reservation for 5:00 PM. Then I walked over to her and said that I now have a reservation. She checked me in and gave me a table. And I said… looks like you have plenty of space available according to Open Table. She just smirked. She’s a jerk. She could have done a way better job. Shame on her.

    Told no seats upstairs. There were seats. Downstairs very noisy. Terrible service. Not very pretty, particularly the restrooms area. Walked upstairs when we left and there were still seats up there.

    We were close to Hudson Yards around lunch time but had no idea where to eat. We opened Open Table to see what was near us and this popped up! It's a cute Italian restaurant in Chelsea. The food was delicious and the portions were generous.

    Food was outstanding for 6 people it was very cheap with bottles of Prosecco and apps. Our server was very attentive didn’t have to ask for anything. The entire establishment works together in providing a good night out. Great job! I’m not a local but I’ll come back one day.

    Terrible Service; mediocre food - not worth the cost! I'm not sure how it's so highly rated. It was very loud and chaotic. 2 different servers took our drink orders, and they didn't seem to be communicating with each other. The drinks came quickly, and we ordered our dinner right away. About 45 minutes after we ordered, our food had still not come, and we asked our server how long it would be. He said he would go check and didn't return. We didn't get our food for another 45 minutes and we had to wave down other servers to get drinks. The manager was not alerted to the delay or our frustration; or if he was, he lied to me about this. When the food finally arrived, the 6 dishes that arrived were VERY hot, but the food on the dishes was cold. The 7th dish did not arrive with the others. At this point, I went to find the manager who said he would look into it but offered no apology or sign that he cared at all. The 7th dish came about 15 minutes after the rest. The "quality check" that occurred was completed by the server, not the manager, as would be expected with a meal as delayed as this one. We explained that the meals that came on time were all cold, bland, and/or undercooked (the veal was chewy and pink on the inside) and that we were disappointed. He barely acknowledged this and walked away. Once we were "finished," we were given our $500+ bill. There was auto-gratuity,and there were no dishes taken off the bill despite the trouble we experienced. At this point, I stepped away to speak with the manager, AGAIN (who claimed his name is Jeff, though I suspect he gave me a fake name as he knew I was upset) The bartender had to go find him, and he appeared from downstairs 10 minutes later. I explained that this was the most disappointing restaurant experience I've had in years and asking that we pay full price is assinine. He said he couldn't do anything as he didn't know there were any problems. This was after I spoke to him twice.

    The food and atmosphere were excellent! I went to a different location a few years back and loved the food, so my husband and I tried the Chelsea location. It did not disappoint!

    We sat outside on 20th, had salads and vodka penne and chicken and eggplant parmesan - all very good and portions large but not outrageous. We have eaten at the other two Boccas in NYC/Hell’s Kitchen so nice to finally try this one.

    Fantastic staff, great food and nice location. The Burrata Caprese salad with prosciutto was amazing! The homemade pappardelle also did not disappoint, while the lamb ragu was a bit overcooked. Noe was very attentive and even surprised us with a sample dessert plate prior to concluding the meal! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

    Very nice meal in a lovely setting. Attentive service and the wild mushroom bruschetta is fantastic. Perfect spot for dinner if you are seeing a show at the Linda Gross Theater.

    Wonderful first time experience. Everyone raved about every dish from the carpaccio to the braised ribs to the pappardelle. Drinks were cool and refreshing, loved the watermelon refresher mock tail. Will be there soon!

    Overall mid and also pretty overpriced, wouldn’t come back as there are better options price and taste wise. With that being said, it wasn’t terrible and would be a nice place to go on a date I suppose.

    What a special restaurant this is! The food is outstanding wow & the service is too. Thank you to the entire team, especially the maître d'hôtel, for your first rate hospitality - we felt transported to a European neighborhood gem. Lucky us, it’s right here in our own backyard.     Brunch meal was good (eggs Benedict with avocado and crab) but was served too quickly (even before our drinks) and the food was barely warm, not hot. Quality was very good, however. Would definitely return to try it again. Attractive decor but music was loud and unappealing.

    My husband had the Restaurant Week menu and the portions were a bit on the small side. And it took forever for his dessert to arrive and was already sipping his coffee. The manager nicely took away the charge for that since all was not in order.

    I hadn't been to this restaurant in many years and was anxious to see how it compared with my memories. The service was over the top fabulous. As good as any of the top restaurants in NYC and my water glass never got to half empty....and I drink a lot of water so that can be a problem for me. Not here tho. Our waiter had a great sense of humor was knowledgable about the menu and always responded we can do that! which we all appreciated immensely. The pastas all came out and I was told they were good. The margarita pizza I ordered was lacking somewhat and next time I'll order it well done. But if you're looking for a good restaurant with great ambiance with a good attitude, this is the place to go! Highly recommend!

    Arrived at 5:30 and ordered dinner almost immediately. Theater reservations at 7:00 on same block. Salad & drinks served promptly; however, entrees, advertised as specialties, didn’t come until after 6:30, too late to enjoy before leaving for theater. Left without eating. Several other diners appeared to have the same problem.
