It was our first time there. A friend told us about it. It was a cute place and decorated nicely. The hostess wasn't that friendly for a first impression of the place. She was ok but it's nice to start in a new restaurant with a nice welcome and hello. We sat and a server said he'd be right with us. He gave us the cocktail menu without the food menu. After about 15 minutes he came back for the drink order. As he was leaving we had to ask for the food menu. We didn't get to order our food for almost a half hour. Service throughout the whole time was very slow. Once we ordered our food it took really long to come. It's a pricey restaurant for the location. I had a typical Dominican breakfast that was double the price anyplace else. Our server was very nice. Perhaps they were short staffed, I don't know.
They did not honor my reservation, although we arrived on time. In addition, they added the gratuity (18%) without informing us (party of 3) and then included a blank tip line. Make sure you read your bill in detail. Very tacky move.
We were a party of 6 people for brunch. Each of us loved our meals. The menu is creative and very tasty.
Food was mediocre at best. Service was quite slow. Won’t be returning. Plus parking in the area is a disaster. Brunch menus were still being given at 4.45pm, and menus do not reflect those on Open Table.
We have been to Bocaditos several times and each time we are more pleasantly surprised at the consistency the delightful food and staff. The hardest decision to make is what to order - it's really all that good. We've done variations of small plates to get a broader sampling and have not been disappointed by any. Food is cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The drinks menu is also fun, with special star for the sangria. Even the desserts are luscious. I highly recommend Bocaditos as a go-to must; it's worth the trip.
We love that night. Bocaditos Bistro is on of my favorite spot in Inwood. Love it. We come back.
The service and food was exceptional! The decor is cozy and calming. I would visit again!
Amazing experience, service and food . Menu did not reflect the menu that was posted on the restaurant’s website which is frustrating, but the entire experience was fantastic.
Thank you guys for the great service, you always made me feel like home. Thank you for having us on Tuesday Jan 21st
The service and food are always good.
Went this past Sunday for brunch to celebrate three friend's birthdays. The experience was marred by the fact that we had a 1:30 pm reservation and were not seated until 2:15 pm. No acknowledgement, no apology, zilch! Overheard a staff person explain to another party that their reservation was going to take longer than expected and offered them drinks at the bar. This is a lovely little neighborhood spot. The decor is charming and they serve a very good Croque Madame and a delicious cafe con leche. I won't be going back though until they get handle on the timing of their reservations.
Food was overpriced with small portions. Service was mediocre.
First time here and so glad we did it. Food was great. Busy but good place to catch up with family on a Saturday night. Reasonable prices. Delicious lychee lemonade.
Great decor and service. Very consistent
Food was great. Ambiance was great. Service was great.
Its a great place for pictures not food. Very nice decor and ideas/concepts.
Don't know how to spell his name, but Mckalay the manager had an amazing personality and was super friendly!
Thank You!
Bocaditos was OK. Came on a Friday evening and the place was quite empty. It felt a bit like a warehouse cause of the tall ceilings and barely any noise. They clearly made a big effort on decorations yet it somehow just doesn’t work. The service was okay but a little strange (the waitress wanted us to order drinks before showing us the dinner menu). Food was OK but the salmon was very dry and overcooked. Probably wouldn’t go back but it wasn’t a terrible experience.
We had a GRaeAT Birthday celebration for one on the guests. The service is outstanding, the food very fresh, the ambiance is welcoming. Sadly they don’t have a full bar but the sangria was delicious. The staff was impeccable and the service first rate.
Fantastic evening !! Food service and drinks everything was amazing
For a bistro, my expectations fell flat. We went for brunch service on a Sunday afternoon and the place was buzzing. While families celebrated birthdays on the mezzanine, gal pals commanded the main floor. The ambiance is well put together and the lay out works to their advantage. But it was the food, we found lackluster. The quality of the ingredients was noticeable but their execution, not memorable at all. Service was attentive and cordial, but one major dining slip is to bring appetizers and minutes later our entrees. With his fork in route to his mouth, my friend was asked if he was still working on his huge avocado toast. Yes, in comic disbelief. All in all, the $155 food bill was acceptable because between us we did have four drinks (3 mimosas, 1 mojito) with our meal, but I can’t help but feel still, “Was that all?” Sigh...
Food is amazing! Service was a bit lax but fine for the occasion. Gratuity was included but I had to ask for the itemized receipt to confirm that. If it wasn’t included I would have tipped more.
Celebrated my birthday with family over brunch. Great place and accommodated for late arrival. The food was amazing (had lobster pasta for the first time and it was delish!) The cocktails available were super tasteful. The only con was the wait time for food.
LLeve a mis amigas que venian de otros paises y quedamos encantados con todo!
Excelente servicio, nos encantaron los detalles y la comida estuvo deliciosa!
I took my friends who came from other countries and we were delighted with everything!
Excellent service, we loved the details and the food was delicious!
The seafood is not fresh neither is the red meat I ordered pasta and it was mushy over all not impressed.
Loved their Sunday brunch menu! Very good!
Great find. Large comfortable space, decorated but not overdone. Staff was professional but friendly, service was excellent. Our waiter knew the food and the wines and was very helpful. Menu is excellent, some unusual stuff and some standards, all well prepared. The veal chop special was very special, and the seafood pasta my friend ordered was delicious. We drank a very reasonably priced Oregon Pinot noir; the wine list is not extensive but all basic bases are covered. The desserts we tried (red velvet tres leches and a bread pudding) were the perfect ending to a great meal. There are a number of good places to eat in Inwood, both Latinx and not, but Bocaditos is one of the best.
Went to Bocaditos this week for Uptown Restaurant Week. Wanted to try this restaurant and was looking forward to trying it during this time. Unfortunately, and although the restaurant was advertised as being part of the uptown restaurant week, we were told they didn’t have a menu for it and could not honor restaurant week. This false advertisement was very disappointing. Ended up eating the warm seafood salad which was delicious.
Delicious food! Nice ambiance! Perfect place for a brunch with friends! Loved it! I will definitely go again!
Amazing each time we visit is wonderful great food great service great vibe for everyone !
Loved the ambiance in this place was so romantic. The food and service was amazing.
The restaurant was so cute and cozy. The food was delicious and the service was GREAT!!! Would definitely recommend this place
Great service personnel very nice. Will go back again.
I made a reservation for 4:15pm and we got seated at 5:00pm. When we got seated the dinner menu was not available and they gave us the brunch menu, which is weird because their brunch ended at 4:00pm. Then we had to wait until 5:20 for the dinner menu. We ended getting our food by 6:30pm!! The food is mediocre at best. Never coming back to this place again.
Excellent food outstanding service. Love the atmosphere, decor and music
Good food, bad service they took so long to bring it.!
Always a great meal with lovely ambience
We were a party of 8 and the food was spectacular, I would recommend the eggplant croquettes which were amazing. And I would recommend to ask for separate checks before ordering anything that way the waitress or waiter is aware because when it comes time to pay they cannot separate the bill. Also if anyone is going to celebrate their birthday and brings their own cake there is a 2$ charge to cut the cake and to serve everyone a piece of the cake. But overall it was a good experience.
This was a beautiful restaurant inside and out which was what caught my attention. The prices fit the great food. Great customer service. If you are thinking of going, do so!
Excellent food.
Terrific waiter / host.
Will be back.
