Do not normally write reviews but we were really disappointed. Menu is shrunk, three tables in use all next to each other - I guess to make it easier on staff than for customers. Food was bland and not what it used to be. Used to one of our favorites. Literally bumping elbows with next table. Not really even tapas on menu.

We love Boca and have been there a few times, always with excellent food and service! We took our son and his girlfriend there for their first time and they loved it! My son said he has never tried so many new things and absolutely loved them all. Thanks!

The food at Boca was delicious and we enjoyed the atmosphere, however, the service could be improved. Although our server was very friendly, she did make us feel somewhat rushed and it took a while for our plates to be cleared. Despite this, I would happily go back.

We went for my birthday to have supper, and it was just as great as last time. The food was amazing, and though it was pretty busy, we didn't feel like we had to wait a long time for anything. Our waiter was super nice, the music was good, the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. We ended up being there til close because we were having such a good time. Cannot wait to go back!

Wonderful experience last evening! New menu items were spot on, and service (server Julian!) was fabulous. Was so much fun to see the restaurant packed and boisterous again. Boca has been a go to for many years, and last night did not disappoint!

Great little spot. Lovely ambience. Food delicious, staff were warm and friendly. A nice add on was the live music with a lot of oldies but goodies. The shrimp were delicious as were the pastas bravas, goat cheese salad and pretty much everything we had. Great selection of sangrias too.

Our son chose Boca for his 10th Birthday Supper. We’ve been there many times and this time was fabulous (like always). The restaurant went above and beyond to make it special for our son. We ordered many dishes between the 5 of us and I don’t think there was a thing leftover. And the crème brûlée was to die for. Thanks and we’ll see you again!

First, let me say that our group experience there in early August was exceptional! The food is always excellent - so flavourful and perfectly cooked/prepared. And the service we experienced was wonderful. That's why my husband and I booked our anniversary date there in late August. Unfortunately, this time was disappointing. It started off great, with a cocktail and plans to order a bottle of wine when the food came. Throughout our dinner we had five different servers. I think this contributed to part of our order not going in... after waiting some time asked for it and it came fairly promptly after that. But I'm sad to say, we seemed to be an afterthought. It was busy on the outside deck but only two or three tables within. I'm not sure why, when booking the reservation, we're prompted to share whether there is a special occasion? Not that we expected anything above and beyond, but I did mention that it was our wedding anniversary. Instead of anything special, the basic service wasn't even there. We still enjoyed ourselves, we were celebrating! And again, the food it stellar. We'll go back to try it again but maybe not on a Friday evening... it appeared to be too much for the staff to handle.

While the food was great, we were extremely disappointed to learn that the restaurant wasn't doing the 'tour' during the summer months. Our waitress was good but not great, she could be been more attentive and friendly. When we asked about size portions of the tapas her response was it depends on how much you eat, not very helpful.

Probably my favourite restaurant in St. John’s. The food is always great. The server, however, wanted us out of there. She kept referencing a large group incoming and that we needed to go. We asked to move tables and the server said no. Then an hour later the server asked us to move to the table we requested. Just such an odd experience.
