Bob's Steak and Chop House has always been a favorite, and I have taken many friends to dine there.
Personally don’t like restaurants in hotels . Secondly it seemed kinda like a diner in there...
Always enjoy Bob's. Nice intimate dining, great service, great food.😊
We've been going for 10+ years and it never disappoints.
Start off with the shrimp remoulade, add a blue cheese salad (no egg), followed by a filet with smashed potatoes - it's scrumptious!
We usually skip the main desserts, but if we have room, we'll get a scoop of the peanut butter burst ice cream - one of my favorite ice creams of all time.
ORDER THE COTE DE BEOUF! Order it medium rare with a heavy sear. It'll come out sealed in a light char with a buttery inside that'll melt in your mouth!

Staff was amazing, our server was so efficient. Food was extremely over priced !!!!!! Our steaks were ordinary. Mash potato’s nothing to say just mashed potatoes. Almost 200$ for the two of us and it was such a let down with all the talk about eating at Bobs Steak and Chops. 😢

Bob's is about as good as you're going to get in a San Francisco steak house.
The filet was perfectly cooked and the wine my server suggested was a great value. Surprisingly so!
I'd suggest Bob's to any steak lover like myself.

The steaks were cooked PERFECTLY. That is always my worry. But everyone's steak in our party was cooked exactly as they wanted and we ranged from rare to well done. The bread was fantastic, the side were delicious; as you can tell, the food was OUTSTANDING. The service is where Bob's falls a bit short. Servers served wine in a clockwise manner vs ladies first. In addition, the servers bused our plates as they were completed vs waiting for everyone to finish. When one does that it feels like they are pushing you out. The side, while delicious, were served well into half way completing our steaks; should not happen that way. I hope Bob's uses this as a training tool. I certainly will return since the food was amazing, but others may not be so forgiving of the service when you pay for such quality.

As soon as we walked in we said uh oh. There was a table of about 20 people and they were having fun! Totally fine, just very loud.
The food was delicious! We had onion rings first and both myself and my husband ordered the 9oz filet. It was cooked perfectly! The service was very slow. It seemed to take a long time to get drink orders, app orders, dinner order and I really thought he wasnt going to ask if we wanted desert. He did though. We declined. Was just very loud and there were tables further away that we could have been seated at. Not sure if the service was slow because of the bigger table or just our waiter.

Arrived at 5:30 on January 1st. We were seated unknowingly next to an empty table By 6:15, 25 very boisterous folks filled the center of the dinning room.Why put a couple next to a large Birthday party????? It was too late too move away.
The $50 plus Ribeye was 50% grizzle which was impossible to chew. When I showed the waiter he said that’s how Ribeyes are!
The good part is we moved to the bar area for desert which had great ambience and wait staff with personalities. We saw some very eatable dishes delivered to tables around us. Their Irish Coffee was one of the best!
I will go back to Bobs but only to the bar. It’s very well done.
The service is great. Francisco and Wesley are always great and fun. Very comfortable and nice environment.

I would have given this a full on 5 star but my lobster tail was tough, chewy and downright did not want to come off of the shell. The steak was off the hook and hands down one of the best filets I have ever had.

Food was very good and delicious. It's quite expensive after tax has been added. Don't understand that prices are shown without tax.

We had Christmas dinner here and had a wonderful evening. We all ordered the filet mignon and two sides, mushrooms and roasted brussel sprouts. The steaks were cooked perfectly and all the sides were delicious. Service was excellent and our server Francisco was very attentive. Thank you to the entire staff for a very Merry Christmas. We went here for Christmas dinner. There was a huge party there. The waiter actually snuck our order in before the large party so we weren't waiting for 2 hours for food. Really big party. Steak was perfect. Sides were delicious. The bus staff was exquisite. I hope those gentlemen get some props, we tipped liberally. It was Christmas after all.

The dining room was kind of empty so it was surprising to have very slow service. The lobster was tough and the sides were so so. The filets were excellent though.

Great ribeye steaks. Great mac and cheese side as well as brussel sprouts. Good service... all entrees came out at once. Took care decanting our wine and providing red wine glasses for everyone at the table. Very good dinner experience.

Stayed at Omni for three nights; 3 breakfasts and 1 dinner. All really great tasting, very large portions. My husband had lamb and loved it. I had the delicious pork chop. We don't typically eat much meat, but it was very good. Generous cocktails. Breakfasts were enormous. One of the days I ate light, bowl of berries and cappuccino. Very good. Not inexpensive, but for the location, food quality and taste, a good value.

To be fair to the restaurant the food and table server were excellent.
But, the pompous little ??? at the reception desk kept us waiting 20 minutes in spite of the restaurant being almost empty.

My wife and I were staying at the Omni and decided to dine at this in-house restaurant one evening. One would assume that a “steak house” restaurant that a would know how to cook steak. Wrong assumption! My wife ordered the prime ribeye (rare) and I ordered the prime porterhouse (medium rare). My wife’s steak was rare and my steak was very rare, not medium rare. To make matters worse both steaks were “flaccid” and impossible to cut without tearing them apart and were “chewy”. We noticed other customers at tables nearby having the same issue with their “chewy” steaks. This is a high priced restaurant that fails to deliver. Save your money and eat elsewhere.

First time here and will most definitely be back! Both of us ordered steaks and both were cooked to perfection! Actually, I can honestly say that my New York steak was THE best I've had anywhere! (From Ruth's Chris to Delmonico's to Morton's and more). Our service was outstanding as well. We will surely return here the next time we're in SF.

I was in town on business and looking for a steak place. The photos on Google looked decent and so I stopped in. One of the top three steaks I've had in my life. Flavorful, perfectly cooked and excellent cut of beef. I would highly recommend Bob's.

This is hands down one of the best places I have been to in San Fran. The food is fantastic, our waiter was exceptionally good. He was on top of it all yet not overbearing. That is almost impossible to find nowadays. We enjoyed some great wine as well. We will be back next time in San Fran.

Steak was great! Nice sear on the meats, seafood was fresh and not frozen. All the sides were covered in cheese (the cheesy Mac, the spinach and the salad). The cocktails are amazing (I can recommend the seasonal pumpkin cocktail) and our hostess from Boston was so sweet, helpful and never interrupted! Will be back again!
