My wife and I were staying at the Omni and decided to dine at this in-house restaurant one evening. One would assume that a “steak house” restaurant that a would know how to cook steak. Wrong assumption! My wife ordered the prime ribeye (rare) and I ordered the prime porterhouse (medium rare). My wife’s steak was rare and my steak was very rare, not medium rare. To make matters worse both steaks were “flaccid” and impossible to cut without tearing them apart and were “chewy”. We noticed other customers at tables nearby having the same issue with their “chewy” steaks. This is a high priced restaurant that fails to deliver. Save your money and eat elsewhere.

First time here and will most definitely be back! Both of us ordered steaks and both were cooked to perfection! Actually, I can honestly say that my New York steak was THE best I've had anywhere! (From Ruth's Chris to Delmonico's to Morton's and more). Our service was outstanding as well. We will surely return here the next time we're in SF.

I was in town on business and looking for a steak place. The photos on Google looked decent and so I stopped in. One of the top three steaks I've had in my life. Flavorful, perfectly cooked and excellent cut of beef. I would highly recommend Bob's.

This is hands down one of the best places I have been to in San Fran. The food is fantastic, our waiter was exceptionally good. He was on top of it all yet not overbearing. That is almost impossible to find nowadays. We enjoyed some great wine as well. We will be back next time in San Fran.

Steak was great! Nice sear on the meats, seafood was fresh and not frozen. All the sides were covered in cheese (the cheesy Mac, the spinach and the salad). The cocktails are amazing (I can recommend the seasonal pumpkin cocktail) and our hostess from Boston was so sweet, helpful and never interrupted! Will be back again!

I had one of the best steaks I’ve ever had in my life here at Bob’s. The service was wonderful I felt like a king! The food was very good however I can’t say I’d order the scalloped potatoes again but they tasted great just not my cup of tea. They also offer a complimentary dessert for birthdays, I must say it was a good meal and will definitely be back.

The most consistent steak house in San Francisco. Yes, it may be a little old school with the styling and such but for me, Bob's takes the crown as the steakhouse that delivers everything you want and nothing you don't. Starters are fine and I'm sure the non-steak options are good but really, if you're going to go to a steakhouse, you want a steak and a martini or a glass / bottle of wine. Good wine list and cocktails. But the steak is the star. I invariably end up with a bone in something and have never had a steak that had been prepared differently from what I asked. And on the rare chance that something did happen, they've always been gracious about correcting the mistake.
Here's a hint, for those of you who have more sanguine tastes, make sure to order your steak Pittsburgh style (charred on the outside, rare on the inside).

I have been here a few times and am never disappointed. The service is great, the food is always delicious and prepared just as ordered. I always feel like it is my secret gem because I can always get a reservation and don't have to make it a year or more in advance!

Really good meal and very good service. The rib is top notch and cooked to perfection. My only reservations are: 1) it was pretty loud, to the point where it was hard to converse at times; and, 2) I wish they'd leave the big carrot off the plate. I don't like cooked carrots, it looks weird and it gets maple syrup (or something similar) on my otherwise perfect steak!

I’ve gone to Bob’s many times for business lunches over the last couple years. Mostly because of the table size and noise level, they are conducive to a business lunch. The last time I was there I misplaced my receipt. I called daily for a week to get a copy. I was passed from one department to another, only to leave voicemails. I went in person to collect the receipt today and was treated very poorly. My lunches are normally between $120-$250 depending on the number of guests I bring. I will no longer go to Bob’s. The lack of customer service for a simple request was shocking.
Francisco was wonderful. He attended to our every need. The food was excellent. Our dinner was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to go back!

Business lunch. 3 people. reservation was for 12:45pm. seated immediately. drink order immediate.
Took far to long to take our food order. we had to search out waiter to place order
then we waited and waited. waiter came by and said "sorry the system lost your order".
Food finaly came at 1:45. so then we had to quickly eat lunch so everyone could get back to office by 2pm
I ordered salad with sliced steak. my salad was more dressing than salad. just overdone with dressing. steak we ok
not the first time at Bob's whereby takes forever to get food at lunch time
The service and food were outstanding. First, the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was also quite good. I had the NY strip (medium rare+), and it was cooked perfectly and was full of flavor. My wife had a filet mignon (came out at a lower temperature than requested, but they quickly fixed that for her). They do have a kids menu which also helped. Didn't try appetizers or desserts (we were too full), but definitely the steaks stood out (as they should). It was a bit pricey, but not more so than you'd find at most steakhouses. If we ever are at the Omni again (or in the area), would definitely return.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I had the salmon, our friends had one of the steaks, my friend had crab cakes. All done beautifully, served in a good amount of time; the attention we received was excellent without being too intrusive... great dining experience. We will definitely be back when we visit SF again.

I liked the 'old fashioned' feel of the place! The service was very good & our server was friendly & attentive but not overbearing. The filet was great although if ordering medium, specify pink not red! The creamed corn & asparagus were yummy, I do think however if they know you are a first time diner there they should let you know that the sides are suitable for sharing. Overall it a very pleasant meal and I would recommend Bob's when you are in San Francisco!
