Very happy with our experience. The food was excellent and it was the perfect, quiet setting for our anniversary dinner.

My wife and I ordered the 14 oz. Prime Rib eye. I was surprised that the meat was not particularly tender...sort of chewy, although the taste was good. We had the mushrooms and they were excellent, My grandson had the same order with the mac and cheese and he said that was the best he had eaten.

The service was excellent. The wait staff was very attentive. I would give them high marks.

We have eaten all over the world with excellent chefs. We live near Chicago and enjoy fine dining. Bob's Steak and Chop House is excellent for quality of food, service, and fine wine.

Even though the service was excellent the food was not worth the price. My husband and I went to celebrate Valentine’s Day a day early to avoid the crowd. I had selected the place because my husband and I are both steak lovers and wanted to try something different. There were mixed reviews regarding the quality but overall they had a good rating so we decided to give it a chance. My husband ordered the filet mignon with macaroni and cheese and I got the ribeye with smashed potatoes. We both ordered loaded potato soup as a starter. The soup was very bland and needed lots of salt. They served my husbands steak very rare when he had ordered it medium. My steak was burned to a crisp on the outside and the inside was a perfect medium but I could not get past the burnt taste. The steak was not of good quality and was fatter than any other steak I had ever had anywhere. I always prefer the ribeye due to its marbling of fat but this steak was nothing but burnt fat. I was very unhappy and will not be returning. The server was excellent about cooking my husbands steak further but i didn’t even attempt to eat mine. She was so nice and polite. We paid 170 for two horrible steaks and bland potatoes. Will not be going back. Next year I’ll just reserve at Santa Fe or Texas Roadhouse.

I had planned to propose to my girlfriend after dinner service so I called and asked what can I do. Come the dinner service, everything was perfect. The waiter gave us samples on wine that would go well with our meals. Everything was cooked to order and they made sure we were being taken care of. When I asked for the dessert menu, she began reading through the list until she read "Will you marry me?" Of course she said yes and we would like to say thank you Bob's Steak and Chop House, for making that night our most memorable night!

Service was 5 plus. Food and wine always exceptional.

Three of us arrived just before closing time (10:00)......The young lady who served us was accommodating and no one rushed us. I had the best steak (ribeye) ever, perfectly cooked and un believably tender. My friends split a Kansas City steak and loved it. Large sides of creamed corn and one of spinach were shared...and were more than enough.
Good wine list and too many deserts. Will return whenever within 50 miles!

I will always go to bobs steak house for any special occasion! I love the service and the food is always delicious!

The meal was worth the price. Succulent ribeye and rack of lamb. Suprisingly delicious sweet carrot and baked potato. And the carrot cake was HUGE! Celebrating our anniversay and the menu came with our names on it, congratulating us! Such a nice personal touch. Our server, Chaunts, was the best!

Place is family friendly. 2nd time being here and both times we were treated like royalty. The drinks ordered were great. Bartender went out of his way to help us out with our order. Steaks, Crab Cakes, Duck Breast were cooked to perfection snd delicious. The salad was the best salad I ever had. Thank you for an unforgettable dinner.... need ♥️

As always, an amazing time. Dinner was succulent and very filling. The Host very welcoming and immediately led me to my table. A wine sample was brought to ensure I had the flavor I pictured in mind. Juan Luis always so attentive to my needs and requests. Always a breath of fresh air to see him. The waitress was focused and a true professional. She played a big part on getting someone to guide me with the flavor I was looking for. The meal...speechless. I keep coming back. I'm a faithful customer.

Any dinner at Bob’s is a special occasion. We spend most weekends in McAllen, and normally dine in lesser establishments. This weekend we wanted something special and chose Bob’s.

The greeting, service and meal were all outstanding. Our server, Ysabel was knowledgeable and attentive. A young man kept our water glasses full, and the manager stopped by to make sure all was to our liking.

A jar of pickles was on the table for our use. We started with calamari, then each had a small filet. Superb

This service, the ambience and food were amazing. This is the place that I would eventually come back all the time. I recommend this place to everyone that I know.

The atmosphere was perfect for celebrating our 45th anniversary. Subdued lighting, comfortable seating, and excellent and attentive service, provided by Frank and supporting wait staff, made this a unique dining experience. The chef Fernando was a joy to talk to. Our Filet Mignon was great and the Glazed Carrot included was like a side dish. However, the Sautéed Mushrooms were superb, and our favorites! Our personalized congratulatory Bob’s menus made the evening even more special! Thank you BOB’s for a memorable evening.

Really enjoyed our experience. Our server was on top of everything. Never lacked for anything. The steaks came out as we ordered and the shrimp was also excellent.
