Great steaks, wine was outstanding. A super restaurant to wine and dine at.
We all enjoyed Filet and added a Lobster Tail. Both were amazing. The large carrot was a surprise and was really well done. The 1 side of asparagus and another of the mushrooms was enough for the table and were excellent. We obviously had plenty to take home since we added desserts. All were great. From a Kansas City lady praise for the steak is saying something.
The wines by the glass were a little pricey but worth every penny since they were large glasses.
The service was impeccable. She made us feel comfortable and was always there when we needed her.
Overall this has made our list for our favorite special occasion dinner. If we passed on the Lobster and dessert it would still more than fill you up and would come in at a more reasonable price. We were celebrating so we wanted to try everything and were not disappointed.

For the first time in Tucson I finally received my steak cooked as requested. (Medium Rare)
Been to at least 6 other so called reputable steak houses in the area and their cooks know how to cook the meat.

I’d recommend Bob’s. It’s in the similar price range of other high end steakhouses. They have a good 3-course summer special as well.
Steak was good and cooked properly. The fried potatoes were good. The house candied carrot side is an interesting twist but it works. Good wine list. Service is a little more resort level than fine dining but nothing to complain about. Server was attentive and friendly.
The bread pudding was absolutely awesome. Maybe the best we’ve ever had.
I’m rarely a fan of restaurant wine pricing. Bob’s has a healthy markup as you’d expect but doesn’t gouge you like some places.

My husband and I made a reservation for a Saturday night at 7:30 and ended up having to push it back to 8pm with no issues at all. We walked in, and the bar was busy but not full. We were greeted almost immediately and seated in a quiet corner where we were told they wouldn't seat anyone else so we would have the corner to ourselves which was a nice touch. There was a jar of pickles and peppers on the table that were really tasty. The bread they brought to the table was insanely good, and the butter was soft enough to spread! Normally you get a brick and tear your bread to shreds as you attempt to spread it on. Service was prompt and friendly. The only part of the meal neither of us cared for was the carrot they served with it. It just didn't do it for either of us. Both of our cuts of meat were ordered rare and arrived perfectly cooked and tasted incredible. We decided to get a couple sides, mushrooms and broccolini which was a little overdone but was seasoned beautifully. The mushrooms were little slices of fungus heaven! I took half of my food home and we each had dessert. The key lime pie was tart and delicious. The creme brulee was good but nothing to write home about. Overall a great experience that came with a hefty price tag thanks to my expensive taste in wine, but well worth the price. We will definitely be going back for another meal!

The food and service were excellent. The hotel and restaurant are a little run down and the décor is out of date. If you look past all of that, the food is well worth a return trip.

We celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary at your great restaurant. We were fortunate to get a window seat overlooking the golf course. Our servers were very prompt, attentive and courteous. The food was delicious and cooked to our requests. And we were treated to a tasty chocolate cake dessert compliments of the house. Our thanks to all for a memorable evening. See you on our 42nd! Mark

The night we dined at Bob's was not their best. There was a wedding at the Omni that must have taxed them. We sat for quite a while (this has never happened before) before being asked for our drink order. When they finally got it sorted the service was excellent until we got to the desert. Those who ordered the cheese cake got something that was not the typical cheesecake. After it came our waitress said that they ran out of the standard cheesecake, she offered to replace the deserts with anything else on the menu.
None of this was terrible, but it was not what we have experienced in the past. At the end of the evening we were comped a glass of wine, a couple iced teas and one of our party was given a desert to take home. A nice gesture and not one that we had to ask for or complain about to get. I think that the staff knew that it wasn't there best performance.
Jerry, we're sorry that your last visit wasn't up to our usual standard. We always strive to deliver a wonderful meal and in a quick turnaround no matter how busy we get, so it's disappointing to know that we dropped the ball this time around. The whole process from making a reservation to the dining itself was great. Food was excellent as was the service. The only problem I had was the price of a glass of wine, I am not a big wine snob but is we just wanted a glass of red wine there should be an option of a house wine that was less than $ 16.00 per.

My husband ordered the 3 course dinner with lobster bisque, filet, and key lime pie. Everything was delicious. The lobster bisque was outstanding (of course, I tasted it). He said the filet was maybe the best he’s ever eaten. My issue was the lack of flexibility of the menu. I wanted to order a lobster tail, which was on the menu, with no sides and a blue cheese salad. I have to carefully watch my carbs due a medical issue and that night’s side were very high in carbohydrates. The waiter stated that they couldn’t do that. I would have to purchase the $50 lobster dinner and the $15 salad. I just wanted to substitute the sides for a salad. I wasn’t willing to spend $65 for a 6 oz lobster tail and a salad. So I had the shrimp cocktail, just okay, and the salad, which was very good. I would love to give them 5 stars if they were willing to be a bit more flexible for those of us who have dietary restrictions.

The best part of our visit was the service. Our server, Kathleen, was top-notch and made us very comfortable from the moment we arrived. She was very attentive, even refolding my husband's napkin when he stepped away from the table. We took advantage of their summer special menu and the steaks were cooked to perfection.

We first came to Bob's as a bit of a laugh, since my husband name is Bob. We were impressed by all aspects of the experience, despite a noisy alarm going off during our meal, and a party of four at the bar, half of whom we're speaking so loudly that we caught every word! They comped my wine (a more generous pour than at many other restaurants) as an apology for the sirens, and everything else was so perfect, particularly the filet mignon on their 3-course prix fixe meal - which offers an excellent lobster bisque to start - that we returned. As good if not better (no alarm, no noisy guests!). It's unfortunate that the bar is do close to the dining room... conviviality at a bar is a given, especially when the TV's are tuned to sports, but it can interfere with the enjoyment of dinner-only guests. We'll be back!

Every time we want fantastic service, exceptional quality food and atmosphere, we look no further than Bob's Steak and Chop house. We've never been disappointed. From the moment we come through their doors, we are greeted by warm hearted employees and a big bowl of sour balls that are simply yummy. We prefer a window table with views of the golf course, trees and the eastern area mountains beyond. The wait staff are experts at telling us the nights specials as we look over the menu. I always order the filet mignon and my wife, either the crab cakes with lots of crab and very little breading or scallops. I should probably try the sea bass or other meats from the large selection, but why spoil the soft juiciness of a perfectly prepared steak. Wait staff or always ready to fill a water glass, get us another glass of wine or more bread with butter. Management should be proud of the quality service we've come to expect and they are, I'm sure, as they stop by to check and ask how we are doing. A perfectly run ship for sure. Their menu is available online and you've got to try dinner there at least once. I know, as we do, that you'll be back as often as time allows.

This is our goto restaurant for special occasions. We love to take out of town visitors here because it never disappoints. We celebrated my husband's B-day and they surprised us with a treat. Not an extra dessert but still, very welcome. It is an uncrushed dinner that provides us time to talk and laugh without lots of background noise. Can't wait to go back.

We have enjoyed BOB's dining several times, usually for anniversaries and birthdays. Our last visit was very enjoyable, despite the increase in prices. All agreed the food was superior. I enjoyed the veal but would have liked to have a sharp knife to dissect the meat from the bone. The steak knife wasn't up to the task; I had to saw and saw to get some meat off the bone.
The fried potatoes with onion & gravy was a disappointment. It was not very hot and included very few caramelized onions. The gravy was quite thin.
Nevertheless, we will return.

Food and service we’re both excellent. The manager has changed since we were here last and the food has improved to where it should be for a restaurant of this quality. The creamed corn is off the cob and the best we.’ve ever had. We will be back soon. Our server, Colleen, is excellent.
