First: the food was outstanding. Even the food here that would be mediocre for their standards was far superior to the best food at most restaurants. Is it pricey? Well, in a word, yes. But is it worth it? Absolutely! The brussels sprouts were better than they ever had a right to be. We had the Scallops for an appetizer and they were top notch. My wife had the crab cakes which were delicious and I had the pork chop which was on point.
Secondly: the drinks. We were here for our 10th anniversary and my wife remarked that in our decade of marriage; she'd never seen me get a cocktail. She got one as well and while they were both strong, they were both delicious!
Lastly, the service. Our server was a gentleman named Kyle. I didn't know it at the time but he was an old friend that I had yet to meet. Not only was he superb in everything one could ask of a server, he surpassed the thresh of cordial into friendly. I am not exaggerating when I say that I met a new friend. Hands down, and my wife agrees, he is the best server that we've ever met. Bad news for all future servers: they have a very high bar to meet now, compared to Kyle.
Thank you to all the crew of Bob's, especially Kyle, for making our anniversary dining experience a lifelong memory. I look forward to making the 3 hour drive to Louisville to experience the same dining again.
Dear Bob's: if you make any financial decisions that doesn't involve giving Kyle a promotion or a raise: you're making a mistake.

This was my second time dining at Bob's. The first was approx. 18 months ago and the food and experience were very good. This time not so much. The positive: The server was very good - engaging and friendly. The negatives: (1) Food service was VERY slow - I have dined at plenty of high end restaurants, and I know enough to understand that it takes a while. In this case, however, it was approx an hour after we placed our main course that the food arrived. After about 40 minutes, the server told us it would be "out in a few minutes", but it was another 20 before it arrived; (2) the quality was just not there. I ordered a ribeye and baked potato - standard fare for a steak house. The ribeye was decent, but not the quality I expected for the price. The potato was slightly warm, and was hard...I couldn't tell if it was undercooked or just was "bad", as it was very dark on the inside. Anyway - I probably will not go back.

They were out of the appetizer we wanted, the entree we wanted, and the wine we wanted. Bread was sent late to the table. The salads were over dressed with the dressing, steaks were fair. This was our 40th Anniversary and other than the folks at the entrance it was not acknowledged. I would not recommend this place.
Food had very little flavor .
Lobster bisque tasted more like tomato soup. Onion rings were the huge kind that were just ok. My steak - cooked medium - was very good, but my husband’s rare steak wasn’t hot. Service initially was excellent but had to wait a very long time for the main course. There was an up charge for any substitutions which seems a little ridiculous given the cost of the main dishes. Overall, it was ok, but I expect more for a $200+ meal.

Prime filets were disappointing. Expected much better. Atmosphere was nice, dark and quiet. Staff was friendly and reasonably attentive although dinner took a while to arrive. Management was accommodating when complaints were voiced. Just not as nice as expected.
Our waiter was new. He took our order and checked on us twice in an hour and twenty minutes.
One of vegetables that was supposed to be warm was cold even after a second attempt. My salmon was raw on the bottom half.
The brownie desert at the end was outstanding.
Nice place to eat. Food is a little overpriced for what you get and there are definitely better steak options in town, like Le Moo, but food was still pretty good.

We were seated right under a can light, which made it feel bright and a bit awkward. The rest of the restaurant seemed better lit, so we might have just got a bad spot. My steak was good, but my husband's was overcooked. We also both got the "signature carrot" that is included in every entrée. It tasted bland and was not good - I didn't eat any of it. Potatoes were excellent. My husband also got a house drink - their take on an old fashioned. He said it tasted like cough syrup. Waitress didn't check on us as much as needed. Overall it was an ok experience, but with all the other steak houses in Louisville, I would not recommend this one to people.

My party and I were sat immediately upon arrival. The waitress recoommended some great wines and apps and her choices were superb! Food was delicious and hot. The portions are huge so be sure to have an appetite. Bob's signature glazed carrot is awesome!!

The waitress may have been new, so I won't hold the service against them. My only major complaint is that they used far too much salt, and I expect better from a restaurant of this caliber.

The service was very good as was the overall ambience. But the steaks were well below average. We ordered ribeyes, which is our cut of choice, but the quality of meat was very poor. The steaks were unusually tough, and almost completely lacked marbling/fat. Not what we expected from a high end steak house. We have ate at Bob’s in Dallas for years without issue, maybe we just got unlucky in Louisville.
We were celebrating my husbands Birthday. Service and food were fantastic! Kyle was our server, and he did a phenomenal job making our first experience there a great one. We will be back!

We dine at Bobs almost every week. The service and food are always top notch. We decided not to dine at any other steakhouses in Louisville for that reason.
That is until the replacement of the restaurant GM..... The new GM should not be in the hospitality business. She is rude, condescending and extremely unwelcoming. Seems as though she bends over backwards for POC, but not for anyone else.

Ordered pork chop medium well and it was well done, burnt on ends and extremely dry Always order medium well and normally fine at other restaurants
$27 for a Manhattan up with Knob Creek Rye I could have bought a 5th of Knob Creek Rye for that price
