Bob's Steak & Chop House - Omni Louisville
Bob's Steak & Chop House was a great first experience of excellent dining and service. We have recommended Bob's to our friends who enjoy a quiet, intimate dining experience as a couple. Great date night at Bob's!
Matthew was an awesome waiter, kept us smiling, and busy with food! Great Ribeye, and the fried lobster was delicious!
Went for my daughter’s birthday. Everything was excellent!!! We will be going back..
Top 5 ribeyes I’ve ever had. Tremendous meal and excellent service. Recommended for any occasion.
Great steak and the staff were really attentive of your every need. Good job!
We very much enjoyed our time and the value for the meal is a great deal.
First time at Bobs for my wife’s birthday. We usually go to Jeff Ruby’s but thought we’d give Bobs a try.
We were seated promptly with the dining room spacious where you’re not crowded against other tables. Nice Louisville themed with boxing gloves, bourbon and horse decor around you. We ordered onion rings and a crab cake for appetizers. The onion rings were thick cut with a nice crust. The crab cake was full of crab meat and very little fillers which was very good except it was delivered lukewarm and almost cold.
The salads were ordinary but charging $10 for just a small bowl of lettuce with a few carrots for their basic salad is a crime. The other two were better but still on the high side for what you got.
We all ordered Ribeyes with the accompanying glazed carrot and fried potatoes with peppercorn sauce. The steaks were quality meat but seemed lacking the flavor of similar upscale steakhouses. All came out cooked to the proper temperature and the sides were a nice addition to the meal.
Overall a decent place to go but there are better options available at that price range.
One of the best steaks I have ever had. The server was awesome
We were on our way to a play so we were in a bit of a time rush. The server couldn’t have been more nice or efficient. The food was outstanding. Our filets were cooked to perfection and we were even offered “in between” levels of wellness. I had medium rare plus and my wife had medium plus. The sides were great with the Brussel sprouts and skillet potatoes as particularly notable. We’ve had some bad experiences with top end steak places here in Louisville, this was not one of them. Well done(pun intended)!
This was on the best dinners and Dinning experiences we have had!
Possibly best steaks in Louisville, and a couple moos ahead of Lee Moo.
Great touch with the pickles, peppers and bread to begin. Shrimp platter for appetizers were great. Steaks were perfect.
Can’t be beat.
Food was FABULOUS! Service was AMAZING! Can't wait to go back
I am writing this review to say there is nothing wrong with bobs steakhouse but there isn’t a lot of wow. It’s a nice restaurant with good service. Our appetizers were just ok and the bread warm but nothing special. Wine selection good and the entree was phenomenal. We had the shrimp sampler as an app 👎🏼Smoked salmon good. Lamb was great about 6 bones but perfect size and the special was a tile fish, both very very good. It was for a special occasion so I’m ok with pricey but not sure I’ll rush back.
The service was excellent. The steaks we're good. However, at these prices, nothing less than exceptional could merit a higher rating. I've had far better at significantly less cost. The chop salad, baked potato and asparagus were all fine as well.
The signature, enormous glazed carrot on each plate was intriguing, but far too sweet and contaminated everything it touched with its sweetness. Glad for the experience but I don't forsee a return visit.
Outstanding! Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with fabulous service and beautiful atmosphere. Bob's Steak & Chop House is worth the splurge.
Food was excellent and our server Kyle was fantastic!
My wife and I had a wonderful evening. When we got there, we were pleased to find that there was free valet parking for restaurant patrons.
The restaurant has a definite “upscale” feeling to it. We particularly enjoyed the horse racing, bourbon and historic old Louisville art work and pictures displayed throughout the restaurant.
Our food was on par with some of the nicer steakhouses like Capital Grill, Morton’s, etc. Best of all we had an excellent server that went out of his way to help my wife with recommendations for her dietary restrictions and made sure to acknowledge that we were there to celebrate our special evening (including free desert 🙂).
All in all, it turned out to be a very delightful evening and I’m sure we’ll be going back.
Karen and the staff was incredibly accommodating to our groups' needs and attentive! Gave us great history on Bob's origination and made the dining experience enjoyable.
Steak was perfect. We had a group from work and they took great care of us.
Michael was a wonderful server, he took his time to explain everything, was so patient and made the perfect suggestions!
Service was fantastic. Food was good.
Excellent anniversary celebration evening highly recommend Bob's Steak & Chop House
It was delicious, a little overpriced, but overall wonderful!
Amazing! We sent our in-laws there for their anniversary and they gave them free champagne and made sure that they had a quiet romantic spot to sit!
Fantastic food! Amazing ambiance!! Sensational service!!! Michael was great. New York Strip and Rack of Lamb were yummy!
Note: I had typed a very specific review but Open Table kicked back the review and instructed me to shorten it. So this is it). I'll post the lengthy version on the website or on Yelp!
Michael and Alan were outstanding!
The steak was excellent. Everything else was mediocre to poor. Salad were very bad.
Live in Nashville and enjoyed dining at Bobs there. Had a Birthday weekend at Louisville Omni and our dinner Saturday was fantastic.
I have been an avid fan since the opening and have had great experiences in the past. However I took a friend for a birthday celebration and was incredibly disappointed. When we arrived at least 50 high school kids we’re blocking the entrance to the building. They were taking prom pictures etc but had no regard for arriving guests.
The food quality was less than I wthought joe was expect from a Texas Roadhouse. From cold bread/baked potato/ carrot to a severely under cooked steak.
The manager on duty spent a lot of time at the table next to us but never once made eye contact or asked us about our experience.
At $300, it is ridiculous that I should even have one aspect to offer negative feedback about but this restaurant was severely off their game Friday evening.
We were looking for a great steakhouse experience. What we got was very disappointing. While the cocktails and wine selection were top notch, everything else was lackluster. The onion ring appetizer looked awesome but was cold and tasted like cornstarch. Steaks were good but would have been even better not served at room temp. Potato dishes were cold or inedible. For this price point I was expecting something far better for the large party I was entertaining.
Move over steakhouses in Louisville, Bob’s wants and deserves a spot on top of the list. We’ve been wanting to come here for awhile and finally had our first visit last night. The menu and wine list selections do not disappoint with literally something for everyone. Our server, Anna, and floor staff, Danai, quickly introduced themselves and made sure we wanted for nothing. All the staff we interacted with balanced perfectly the elements of silent service while providing a true fine dining experience. Missing was the “stuffy” atmosphere that sometimes arises from such a level of service. Anna’s personality and charisma shined throughout the evening making us feel very comfortable. Her extensive menu knowledge and personal suggestions were so valuable.
Our menu choices consisted of an order of perfectly cooked calamari and a bowl of flavorful seafood stew to start. Next the freshest of wedge salads for both of us (our salad plates were basically cleaned as each bite was better than the previous). For entrees, we ordered a cooked to perfection filet and a mouth watering shrimp scampi with fettuccine. Finally a freshly prepared creme brûlée to finish off the evening. Every item brought to our table was obviously prepared with a high expertise as well as pride. We could not have enjoyed our dining experience any more.
Thank you so much, we’ll be back!
Excellent bourbon collection.
Great cocktails- not skimpy pours! Great server- she rocked it!
Always my first choice for a business dinner. Excellent service and food.
Good food and good service, it is a higher end restaurant so don’t go in expecting Outback Steakhouse prices , salads were a bit small for the price point , steaks were done to perfection
The food was amazing! Our server was so great and told us the history of Bob's. It was captivating and made our meal feel even more special.
I loved the pickle story and the yummy carrot that came with the meal. My boyfriend and I highly recommend it. The steaks we so delicious and cook perfectly.
Food was fanatic and service was out of this world. Our server Anna was very knowledgeable of the drink and food menu. Would highly recommended this restaurant and we will be going back soon!
Exquisite steak, scallops, and shrimp. Awesome interaction with knowledgeable server and mixologist!!
