Bob's Steak & Chop House - Omni Louisville
Limited choices for appetizers, good drinks. Steak was average, but cooked perfectly. Mac and cheese was good, but overall meal presentation was not 5-star. Definitely expected more for the price.
We did not care for the salad dressing. And the steaks were dry and did not seem like a typical filet mignon cut. We prefer the steaks at Outback Steakhouse which is sad given what we spent at the Omni. The ambiance and service was great. We might try it again but not for a while.
It was totally perfect!! Our guest had a birthday and a was patron for the first time! Her and her husband was thrilled with our dining choice!!
The service from our waiter Michael was outstanding! We enjoyed learning about the history of the restaurant too. The suggestions were wonderful. We loved the carrot! We can't wait to return when we're in the area.

One is the best meals I have had in a while! Our waiter Matthew was upbeat, personable, knowledgeable, polite and very attentive! We were celebrating my wife's birthday and he pulled out all of the stops to make sure she had a great experience!

My husband and I went to Bob's Steak & Chop House on 11/2/19 to celebrate his birthday and enjoy a nice meal during our weekend getaway in Downtown Louisville. Our waiter Michael was wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and attentive. The unusual pickle and pepper jar was filled with delicious treats, and the warm loaf of bread was amazing. My Caesar Salad was very tasty. I had the Broiled Jumbo Shrimp Scampi with Black Pepper Pasta with Bacon, and I ate every scrumptious bite. My husband had the Prime Filet Mignon topped with Shrimp and Scallops. His steak was so incredibly tender and melted in your mouth. We finished the night with the Key Lime pie. We felt special and well cared for. I highly recommend.

Nice restaurant, but very noisy with parties of heavy drinkers. That wasn’t so much an issue as the fact that the food was really no better than a large chain steakhouse. Our salads were probably less than average and the steaks were very tough. We needed paper napkins to spit out the tough parts of the meat. To be quite frank, Outback actually has a better quality steak, and that’s not saying much.
To spend $300 to have an average dinner and put up with loud parties around you laughing very loud and not showing respect for the other patrons made this a very bad experience. I wish that we would have gone to Outback or somewhere comparable and saved $200 dollars.
Food was great. The only minor thing was the service was a tad slow, but nothing to write home about.

We were in Louisville for a conference and since we had dined at your restaurant last year with the most amazing experience we decided to return for a date night.
Essentially, the food, the wine and the service from the assistant waiter, Kenny, was phenomenal. However, we had an odd experience with our waitress.
She seemed rushed and annoyed from the start.
She returned to check on us very sparingly.
She got an attitude when we made our wine selection. (We asked to stay within $50-$100 and she kept suggesting ones over $100). We are not wine connoisseurs so we were simply wanting a decent wine. The one we chose was about $70 “Educated guess”. And from Napa. Her biggest piece of advice was to choose a cab wine from Napa and we did. So we weren’t sure why her attitude was there or why she didn’t suggest that specific wine with it being in our price point.
She spent a lot of time at the bar with a gentleman and other servers. We were her only table.
When we got our new bottle of wine, she opened it and literally poured it into my glass which had wine from the previous (different type/brand of wine bottle.)
We got this bottle for the purpose of taking it up to our room in consideration of the restaurant staff.
The service was so bad we almost left before we ordered but being later in the evening and traveling all day we didn’t want to do that. We thought about requesting a different server but are not confrontational people.
While she did warm up at some points in the evening the overall experience was uncomfortable and shocking.
I did not want to write a review as I felt this was a very targeted experience that wouldn’t represent the restaurant in fairness.
I just thought you should be aware. (We tried to contact the manager privately via email but received no response after 3 days)
Poor experience with the waiter (Slade). He seemed to be in a bad mood from the beginning. We were one of the first tables seated so it was not busy.

Everything was good, except the table next to us was very loud and also the table was not ready at the reservation time. We had to wait a little bit. The foods and service were good

Our reservation was at 845p and we weren’t seated until 930p. The hostess kept saying she didn’t know when a table would be available so we walked around the hotel. Once we were seated our waitress came and began to give her spill about the menu, restaurant, southern hospitality when another table flagged her to pay their bill. She stopped mid sentence and left to go to the other table. She then went to 4 other tables before coming back over 20 min later to us and saying “so what do you think”. She didn’t apologize or finish telling us about the menu, specials , options. There was a very large party that was so loud another table bought us drinks because they felt bad it was so loud. Food was great but due to service we probably won’t be back!
Having food allergies, I put my food allergy into the notes on my reservation but the server didn't recognize it until my first food item hit the table. I would think a fine dining restaurant would take note of allergies upon being seated. Everything else went perfectly and the food eaten before the allergy was noted, was not something I was allergic to, but that's not how to start an anniversary dinner. The service and food couldn't have been better, after that mistake. I would recommend anyone to visit here, as long as they note to their server, of any specific needs.

Food was amazing, we had the filet and it was cooked just like we asked, it came with your choice of potatoes we opted for the baked potatoes and it came with all the fixings, it’s hard to save room for dessert but we got the creme brûlée and it was awesome too. Will definitely come back when we are in town

We had a terrific meal at Bob Steakhouse. The service was excellent, the server timed herself perfectly. The food was also excellent. The prime rib and the tenderloin were cooked perfectly and tasted great. I just wish they would offer a smaller portion. It is a lot of food to eat. We love the picked vegetables and the bread that come to the table and we are not charged like a lot of places. I had the mushrooms instead of the potato and they were really good. We each had bourbon on the rocks so we did not test the bartenders skills. We really didn't have room for dessert but the waitress convinced us when she said we could share a1/2 portion. We had the brownie almode...oh my it was great... I thought my fried was going to lick the plate. We had terrific experience and they got us out in plenty of time for our show.
