How lovely to walk up into a quieter space where at a table of 5 you can easily here each other, which is saying something when 3 of those at the table are 55+. Great service, friendly, helpful, switched on and fun. Food was yum 😋. Would go again in the blink of an eye !!!
Great service, everyone was very attentive. Food was good but a tad bit on the pricey side. Overall really nice space and ambience is wonderful.
One of our favorite restaurants: The food and service are excellent. It can become a little bit loud sometimes, so don't go here when you want a quiet intimate dinner.
Family trip to NYC.
Bobo is absolutely amazing from the food to the atmosphere! And I can’t say enough good things about the management and staff. I highly recommend it.
Great service- great food- great ambiance- a bit pricey but it is NYC after all!
One of my favorite places in LES! Great ambiance, affordable happy hour, and a cute patio. Highly recommend.
Great restaurant. The food was amazing specially the Oysters , Fried Artichoke and Duck Leg. One of the plates wasn't very good: Gnocchi.
Great service, one of the best in NYC.
We wanted to get in for the Jazz show next door so had an early reservation. I can't say how noisy it is or what service is like when it's busy, but everyone was discreetly attentive, the food was all perfect. Nothing over spiced or overdone. We had the grilled octopus (perfect) and salad to start. Between 3 of us, had the hangar steak which was perfectly cooked and the lamb for two. The lamb and fennel were braised and then finished at high heat to crisp them nicely. The lamb was tender but not mushy and they either trimmed it really well, or slow braised to melt away most of the fat. With some fingerling potatoes and roasted rosemary it was perfect.
Wine choices were plenty and surprisingly reasonable for Manhattan. It was my wife's birthday, but she wanted no fanfare. I did tell our waitress, and she was kind enough to bring out one of our desserts with a candle to at least mark the event but she took my "no fanfare" comment seriously and my wife felt special without being in the spotlight. We will return if we get the opportunity. It was perfect. So was the jazz at Smalls!
Server Molly was wonderful and gracious
I enjoyed my Sunday brunch at Bobo Restaurant very much.
Loved food and atmosphere. Staff very friendly and attentive.
Just wish we could have been able to sit in the outdoor garden area
but it was booked for an event.
Spent our last day in NYC having brunch at Bobo. This place had excellent food, service and ambiance.
We had a great evening and everybody at Bobo made our celebration truly amazing. The staff was very attentive and the food absolutely delicious for quality and preparation. We will definitely be back!
We like this restaurant very much!!! We follow this already a few years and this was the 2nd time.
Great and on other side of the street of our hotel.
Great food. Impeccable Service! Would visit again in a heartbeat.
My son, daughter and I had a wonderful dinner at Bobo. The basement bar was a great place to begin and the dining room upstairs was beautiful and relaxed. Great buzz but not too loud. The staff was terrific - friendly and knowledgeable. And we enjoyed the repartee with the manager. First visit but will definitely be back.
My favorite west village restaurant. I love taking friends and family here - the food is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect!
Went for brunch and seated in patio upstairs- great ambience, superlative service. The food was underwhelming unfortunately, especially relative to the regular menu which we tried a number of times.
Charming location with great food, service & ambiance. Definitely returning soon!
Friendly atmosphere and staff. The food was good but the beet fries were dripping in oil. They did try and replace the order but the second was not much better. The kale and apple salad was great. My fiancé had the salmon which was also good. The Madeleines were perfect. Overall good experience, worth a revisit.
Open air brunch, quick, perfect service, excellent food, prices reasonable for NYC.
Went for date night, very home like, classy ambiance. the staff was amazing. Food was truly outstanding. Will definitely be recommending this place and coming back
They treated me so special on my birthday!! The food is also outstanding and the ambiance is romantic.
Wonderful food, very good service. Too noisy, although I've been in more noisy restaurants. Made a reservation to return before I left!
Wonderful atmosphere. Celebrating my daughters graduation. She was so happy!
The set up was perfect. Service was delightful and the food was delicious. Can’t wait to have dinner there again!
Great restaurant for brunch. The manager and staff was beyond hospitalietably. I look forward to going back.
Hands down, one of my favorite places in the city.
I found Bobo's a terrific place -with a couple of reservations: but first the positives. The chef is both accomplished and imaginative. My salmon filet came rare, as I specified, on a tasty, soupy bed of peas, with a parsnip puree that delighted. It was preceded by a knob of cauliflower (the "Cauliflower steak") that also had a mattress of pureed cauliflower, suffused with butter. Excellent. The fries were also exceptional, not dried-to-a-crisp as they are in many bistros. But Now -a fierce negative that was ultimately redeemed by a savvy sommelier. As follows. See, the place was out of the two moderately priced Saint Veran Burgundies that I'd been counting on drinking, both under one hundred dollars. After a frustrating wait, the waiter offered, as a substitute, a bottle of Bourgogne blanc, but as this was a celebration, I waved it aside, and went to the next level on the list -a Clos Vougeot blanc (2013) that was listed at two-hundred and sixty-five dollars. "I wanted the more reasonable St. Verans," I explained, "but you were out of them." "Yes," he told me, "we had a run on them this weekend; I'm sorry. I will offer you the Vougeot at a third off," he said. Well, this was irresistible, and when I sniffed the ethereal aroma of the Vougeot, with its blend of sun, grape and earthy underbrush, my day was complete. This generous fellow has assured my return visit (I'll check by phone, however, to make sure the St. Verans are back in stock). And to my sister, who sprung for our dinners, a huge embrace for a thrilling olfactory experience!
Love eating in the garden. Great food and service. Highly highly recommended.
Great burger. Very nice steak. Always fun at Bobos
We went for Mothers Day fixed prix brunch. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. We were seated downstairs which was a little darker than I might have wanted for a brunch, but still very nice and quiet. I'll be back and will try for upstairs or in the garden next time.
I was so looking forward to Mother's Day brunch at Bobo and especially since the photos featured on Open Table looked so sweet and charming and perfect for a mom brunch. They clearly weren't ready for a flux of guests arriving right at 10am so they sat everyone at the same time without enough servers. We waited around 20 minutes to get an order put in, and the food was anything but mediocre. I haven't eaten there before and not impressed this time. I ordered scrambled eggs and Smoked Salmon, and when my entree arrived they had clearly given me a bowl of about 6 scrambled eggs and 2 tiny pieces of Salmon. I of course asked for more salmon and the waiter gave me two more tiny pieces of Salmon. You would also think they could afford to spend just $20 at the local Bodega and get fresh flowers for the restaurant instead of dying hydrangeas for Mother's Day. It shouldn't be listed as a sweet Mother's Day brunch, it was anything but that.
Great place to meet with friends or take a date. If you can sit in the garden its a wonderful break from the city.
Extraordinary dining experience and service!
Very nice waitress.
It's always astounded me how few legit and good French restaurants there are in New York. While we have our share of tourist-friendly, heavy on the croissant and baguette places, and one or two that charge like crazy for food as authentic as we are likely to find in the U.S. when you don't have family from France visiting, there is Bobo.
Bobo is about the details, from seasonings to plating to high quality ingredients.
And where Bobo soars even more is with service. GM David Robeano leads the charge and the restaurant industry would be wise to see and learn from how he hires and manages. It was something of a privilege for my friend and I to dine on May 5 2019 (where my Aviation Sour, Oeufs en Cocotte, the tartines my friend and I shared, and her Negroni were exceptional) and be at a table in Bradley's assigned spot. His presence and his dedication to us and our experience were even more exceptional.
Bobo. It's the spot.
I really loved this place. If you are unsure about it - do it ! First time going so was a little bit nervous but absolutely obsessed. Will be back again soon!!
Terrible service. We were sat downstairs in the bar area directly under a very loud speaker. One of the people in my party can’t hear in one ear, so I asked the hostess if we could move to a table upstairs instead so that he wouldn’t miss all of the conversation. She made a big fuss about how sympathetic she was and said she’d see what she could do, then never came back to us and just left us at the table under the speaker. If there was no other table available, ok, but at least circle back with us. We then waited 30 minutes to get our first round of drinks. We didn’t have a designated server, and had to flag a random person down each time. They didn’t take our food order until we had been seated at the table for over an hour.
$211 for three people with awful service and very small portions felt like a rip off. Maybe it was the time we went (9pm on Friday) but we were disappointed.
Good ambiance and food was very good, but service was terrible. Server seemed disinterested. Both rounds of drinks took entirely too long and came after the food despite ordering drinks a few minutes before ordering the food.
