Bobby Van's Steakhouse - Broad Street Ratings and Reviews
It was restaurant week and I took my gf out to this steakhouse. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. The food came out as we requested. We both ordered filet mignon (no brainer). It was cooked correctly and each bite did not disappoint. The desert I ordered was the creme brûlée. AMAZING!!!
Definitely recommend this restaurant and will probably come back again.
It was my first time going to this restaurant. I chose to go during Restaurant week. I went with one of my friends and we had a great time. Friendly staff, and no wait time. Our waiter took care of us and made sure everything was perfect.
I definitely will be coming back here and I would recommend this place!
We came with high expectations but was very disappointed. We came here with a colleague visiting from Hong Kong who enjoys Capital Grill a block away. We decided to take him to Bobby Van. It is not for fine dining as the service was terrible and the server was very rude and demanding. We were interrupted to put in our order and he was not happy when we did not order wine. When the steak comes, he forced us to cut in the steak right away to check the temperature. I will not come back or recommend this to anyone.
This place is awesome! My friend and I came by for New York Restaurant Week and we both found it super satisfactory. The restaurant is located at financial district and seems to be a great place for business meals. In general the place looks very classy but still with fair prices. Their sirloin steak is really good so strongly recommended. Definitely would come by again for lunch on Weekends!
The restaurant was run down. The service was terrible. I kept having to wave the waiter down even though the restaurant was not busy. My steak came out cold and dry. The lobster Mac and cheese looked like spackle. It is a good place to grab a drink at the bar if your in that neighborhood but the food is very disappointing.
I made a reservation from open table (never got our points from that reservation) for a birthday dinner and clearly mentioned it’s a birthday celebration and we want candle for our dessert and my husband remained them ones more at the table but all we got was carelessly done cheesecake plater without candle and we have to tell them one more time to get our simple request
Finally someone understood that we are very unhappy the manager offered our cheesecake thanks again but if we got what we want then that will be enough
anyway they have the best aged ribeye we ever had!!! It was perfectly cooked delicious juicy extra points for the kitchen
Always enjoy their steaks and appetizers. As with all restaurants, I never understand or enjoy the background music that the staff seems to wish to play. Why restaurants think we wish to listen to music rather than talk to our dining companions amazes me. This restaurant is not alone. Open Table should do a survey.
We were in NYC for an event at the New York Stock Exchange and always have a nice lunch or dinner after the event. We decided to try Bobby Van's for lunch. The waiter seemed irritated that 2 of the party of 4 were sharing the skirt steak. We ordered several appetizers and sides. The skirt steak was ordered med rare, came out rare, very tough and took me 5+ minutes to chew each bite. Another person ordered the burger med rare, came out rare, barely cooked. No one came around to ask us if the food was ok. Finally someone, I believe a busboy asked if we wanted a box for our barely touched food. I then advised him and the waiter my steak was tough and the burger was raw. No response. The total check was over $200. No apologies, just handed us the check. I have no problem speaking up. But was dumbfounded regarding the lack of service. Will never return.
My fiancé and I had a great date night. The food was wonderful and prepared with care. The staff was attentive to detail and we had a great experience. We will definitely recommend this restaurant and the location to our friends and family. Thanks for everything.
The filet mignon and all the sides were delicious. Our desert was just ok. It was supposed to be an ice-cream sundae and the presentation was weak and the ice-cream had already started to melt in the dish before it got to us. I still love the restaurant though and would highly recommend.
