After being seated, are waiter took 30 minutes to greet us and take our order. He never introduced himself, and had an impatient attitude when called upon. The food took an hour and a half before it came to the table. All of the steak temperatures were off severely, one plate came with garnish as if they were rushing our meal. All in all, I’ll never eat here again, nor will I recommend this place to anyone. In fact, I plan to direct them else where.
Last meal before the NYC quarrentined was as usual great.

I am no stranger to steakhouses. This location was great, down in the financial district. Very quiet, staff greeted us and sat us down right away. They brought out warm bread basket which was awesome. For apps we had thick cut bacon and shrimp cocktail. Shrimp was fresh and bacon was cocked to perfection. For entree we had porterhouse for 2, Mac and cheese, French fries and sautéed spinach. The portion of the porterhouse was disappointing. For $67 each person, total being $134 for the steak. I was expecting a massive size porterhouse. The flavor was good on the steak and cooked to my liking, it seemed as it was a porterhouse for 1. The sides were all great. I’d def give this place another try

Been to Bobby's Van's on Broad Street in NY since we used to live downtown, probably 15-20 times, maybe more. Always excellent, welcoming with great food. This time had Adrian as a server - cool people with a great sense of humor who actually attempted to talk us out of our over tipping him. Grateful for his kind assistance - and learned Bucharest was the capital of Romania where he's from. Were in NYC for a celebration of a friends life, will be back!

We had a reservation for seven to celebrate a birthday. We arrived and promptly sat down at a round table near the back. Our waiter was amazing. The food came out hot and delicious. This was a second visit to this restaurant and will definitely not be a last.

Really enjoyed our Valentine’s Day dinner here. We got ordered off the prix fixe menu. It was expensive, but we got more than enough food and wine to make up for it. The atmosphere was great to sit there and talk while enjoying our meals. Would recommend going for any special occasion - especially if you like places that feel like old New York.

I don't know what's happened to this place. Perhaps it's better for lunch during the week or their burger is the only good thing on the menu. I was there this Saturday evening and between catching a group of young girls TWERKING in the bathroom and filming with their iPhones and the poor service we received, I don't know which is worse. The steak was alright but really nothing spectacular. The scallops were very very overcooked and smothered with bacon and Brussels sprouts. It was very unappetizing. Our side of asparagus was overcooked as well. Obviously, anyone would go into this place and think it's a fine establishment (I'm sure the twerking teenagers did), but for a place that's supposed to have a reputation like theirs to fall this low is quite disappointing. The dining crowd here just isn't what it used to be and I think it's a lot to do with the Groupons they accommodate. The only plus side to everything is the half-priced bottles of wine (when not using a Groupon). Beware of this BV!

Second time at this location and was a bit disappointed. Crab cake was delicious but was served at room temperature. Simple grilled salmon was not cooked to my requested temperature. First time it came out overcooked and second time it was very undercooked. They should be able to cook meat and fish at the temperature the customer specifies.
The food was excellent, the service was great. I would definitely come back.
Bobby Van's Steakhouse is an excellent place for business dining, occasion dining, having lunch or dinner with friends. I highly recommend it. Food is delicious. My friend and I both had seafood and creamed spinach. Everything was beautifully prepared and tasted great. The service was wonderful - attentive but not hovering. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent meal with excellent service. First time in many years that I had a filet mignon cooked the way it is supposed to be.
The total worst ever . I waited one hour for Salmon , which I cancelled at one hour time , my client was served his steak salad 50 minutes prior to me cancelling my meal and the waiter proceeded to stare blank stares at me . Ridiculous

This was an average dining experience. I ordered a bone-in ribeye that came to the table without the rib cap portion (just the eye) and also rare, when ordered medium rare. The size of the steak was generous, maybe even larger than the 28 ounces per the menu. That said, most who love a ribeye look forward to the rib cap. My boyfriend had ordered a porterhouse for two — that was cooked to perfection. The manager did confirm that all the ribeyes in house were without the cap, so I opted for a porterhouse as well. This isn’t my favorite cut, but it too was cooked to perfection.
The sides were underwhelming: hash browns could’ve been crispier and lacked seasoning, the creamed spinach was very bland and the fries could’ve been crispier too. I also feel the servers should ask “would you like me to serve you some hash browns ( or whatever the side is ) rather than assuming and scooping out spoonfuls onto peoples’ plates.
There are better steakhouses in this price range.
