Despite the cautiousness that everyone has about eating indoors at restaurants, Bobby Van's Park Avenue was as excellent as always ... We sat in a private nook area away from other diners and all of the staff wore face masks. The Caesar Salad and lump crab meat cocktail were exceptional, as was the porterhouse steak medium rare. Broccoli with garlic ... and then coffee, dessert, just like in the old days. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great before Covid-19 and still great today! Socially distanced seating, a nice menu, great wines and the most pleasant waiters and staff. Great steaks and surprisingly good Italian dishes.

Due to Covid there were not alot of people there.
Therefore the staff was super attentive for the customers
that were their.

Bobby's Van's continues to provide amazing food, caring/professional service and a warm/inviting atmosphere. It's an iconic NYC restaurant and I hope they can struggle though these draconian requirements. Its very rough.

Commercial, old school, meat is OK but not great. Overpriced. They're going to chain levels and not close to excellence. You just pay their rent in park Avenue at grand central.

De authentieke sfeer en de gastvrijheid van deze typisch Amerikaanse zaak zijn geweldig. We waren het niet van plan maar uiteindelijk hebben we aan de bar gegeten met de locals. Tony was de gastheer achter de bar en die deed het geweldig. De prijs is op zijn New Yorks zullen we maar zeggen.

Bobby Van is one of my favorite for many years. This time I tried the Park Avenue location and was disapointed. Steaks are great, no complains. This is what I expect in a Steak House. I ordered Tomato and Onions (both sliced 1cm thick, who can eat onions like that). As a side I had beans which arrived nearly cold. I was there on my own and they only have large bottle of water (1 liter). Service was friendly. Will not go there again.

For a steakhouse where the steaks are amazing, the chicken parm and shrimp fradiavlo is simply outstanding. This is the place to go with co-workers, business lunch/dinners and with the family. A true true NY experience. As a life long NY’r this is by far the best true NY Steakhouse!!!!

Service was outstanding

Bobby Van's is the quintessential NY steakhouse. The porterhouse steak for 2, creamed spinach with potatoes is a classic. Couple that with a wonderful Cab and your evening is complete!

Great from the start to finish. Greeted by a wonderful woman who takes your coat and gives you a ticket. Small bar nearby while waiting for your table, table is ready before your drinks are done and food is great

Food was uninspired, even for a steakhouse, which only has to serve the staples. Service was rushed. I asked for a wine by the glass list and the waiter asked "red or white?". Hesitantly I said "red" and he rattled off "a cab from California, a pino from Oregon or a malbec from Argintina". That tells me nothing. I want to see which wineries, from what specific regions, etc. It was clear in the interest of rushing me through my meal, the waiter was refusing to take the time to walk back and get me a wine by the glass list. Likewise, I expect a place like this to provide a liquor list. Anyone paying top dollar for a great steak has a preference of specific liquors, for example Mitchners Rye or Blantons Bourbon. I am not impressed with nor appreciate his list from memory. Note, I eat at my local Ruth's Chris at least once a month and receive far superior service there.

The food was lukewarm temperature. The table we were given was jammed in tight by the kitchen so we constantly had people walking by us jamming into our chairs. The food and experience was not worth its value.

The scallops were phenomenal, some of the best in the City! The chicken parmigiana was as good as any Italian restaurant! Service by our waiter Mike was outstanding as always a pleasure to frequent this great establishment!

Classic traditional steakhouse with a warm welcome. Formula still works well after all these years and they work hard to maintain standards.
