Love the consistency every time we go.
Business lunch. Service upstairs was a bit slow but seems to be the kitchen rather than the wait staff. Other than that, this is a fine place for lunch.
Food was extremely pricy for what we ordered. I understand that it's Midtown, theater district, but dishes were over priced.
Expensive. Portions are large but the quality of the food did not measure up to the price. Veal Milanese overcooked. Meatballs were OK. Side vegetables were for two people which lessens variety options.
As pleasant as the first time I visited
Good food and service
Lovely table by the window. Wonderful service. Delicious salmon which was cooked perfectly. A nice spot to go before the theater.
The food was great. The service was really good. Just enough attention without being annoying.
My go-to place when going to a Broadway play. Great steak, creamed spinach, and Hash Browns.
A little pricey but worth it.
The steak was excellent. Shrimp was good but a little dry. Love the ambiance and will be back. The restaurant was VERY warm - too warm, but otherwise really liked it.
Disappointed this visit. We were greeted by hostess in a football jersey & jeans, did not get table we requested for sentimental reasons , corkage fee raised from $25 to $35, will not open a bottle of wine you brought if it's on their wine list, cocktail & liquor menu have no prices and you used to get 1,000 points on Open Table if you went 2 1/2 hours before show time but now you only get 100 points!
Great meal, great service, awesome experience.
Very delicious and great service. Everything tasted so fresh. The server was very nice and always checking on us. Kudos to the chef!!!!
Food was good but service just ok. Wasn't asked about coffee with dessert but rest was good.
The experience was AWESOME!!! I will definitely return back to get the 12 oz sirloin. #yummyinthetummy
Always delicious! The pan seared tuna is extremely fresh and delicious. The steaks are cooked perfectly and flavorful.
went for Restaurant Week - excellent range of choices and overall very good value
I had noted on my reservation that we were there for a 16th bday celebration- upon our arrival we were given a lousy table right by the door. I had requested a nice quiet table - that’s not what we got Also, not one person acknowledged my nephews 16th bday. That was the most disappointing part of my dinner. This should have been a very special memory for him yet it was just a regular dinner. I had also noted we were going to the theater and I had to request the check twice - we barely made it to the opening of Hamilton. Overall pretty disappointing experience.
Went for dinner during restaurant week. Had specials were all excellent filet mignon and veal chop. No change in quality or Service when using special menu. Service and staff friendly and courteous. Great way to try Bobby Vans at a discounted rate.
$55 steak ordered med-rare came well done. Replacement was a horrible piece of meat and still
over done.
Shame , I happen to like Bobby Vans but this visit
disappointed.
Wonderful and friendly services. The servers were so on point that my water never reached the bottom of my glass. I love that!!!
I will say I was not that impressed with my experience here. Upon entering the restaurant, we (my group of friends & I) stood by door, coat on, feeling like we were in the way, waiting to speak to hostess for about 25 minutes. It was not a welcoming environment. They called the day prior to confirm the reservation, and to ensure we knew of the 15 minute policy, yet we did not seat until about 8:15 pm for a 7:30 pm reservation. The food came out fast, but I will say we were not at all impressed as this is supposed to be a quality steakhouse. It was just okay. Also, there were not many liquor options and the drinks we did have was just okay. I do not think it was worth the value for what we paid. I would not come back nor recommend. I would partially accredit their price points to the Times Square location.
I came to this location during Restaurant Week. I regularly dine in the 45th and Park Bobby Van’s location in business settings and I am always amazed on the level of service, the quality of the food and the sides. This was a very disappointing experience because it felt more like a cafeteria type food service with dry bread and premade meals. Unfortunately, this seemed like a great example of an otherwise great restaurant compromising the quality of food and service for restaurant week, which is thankfully not the case with many other great restaurants in NYC!
A very nice place. The food and service was great. It was restaurant week and that made it a great deal.
Host and waiter were extremely accommodating to my dad who does not get around so easy- thoughtful and considerate-
VERY EXPENSIVE- even for n.y.c.-$20 for cordials (bailey's irish creme) steak was excellent, one of the best.
Steak was not well presented or prepared for a steak house
Hostess needs to find a job thar does not require a smile and welcoming attitude
Thank you for the staff. It was my friend’s birthday. So great and wonderful day to her and to me
Delicious food! Went there for NYC Restaurant Week and the portions were ample, not skimpy like other places. My burratta caprese appetizer was melt-in-your mouth. My husband loved the veal chop, and it was huge! That and my filet mignon were perfectly cooked. Servers were attentive and polite. My only quibble: cocktails were $18!!! That, said, they were balanced and well made, but a bit of sticker shock, given that the cocktail menu has no prices, so just be aware. For us, the overall value was well worth it, will go back!
The food was amazing. I’m going back tonight!
We took advantage of restaurant week and had a wonderful dinner before going to see Hamilton. Everything was delicious and staff was very friendly. Recommend the filet and veal chop entrees. Thank you for participating in restaurant week. We will definitely come again.
Great experience, food very tasty especially for my picky family. I will definatly go again.
Very disappointed with the chicken dish.
A lot of cash for a chicken snitzel
The venue was uncomfortably hot with the tables on top of one and other. I was served the wrong entree and the smallest baked potato I have ever seen despite paying extra for a large one. We've been to Bobby Van's before; likely not again.
Overall, the experience was decent but my main entree the seared ahi tuna was disappointing.
Excelente comida y excelente servicio...
A wonderful quiet spot amongst the noise of Times Square.
Service was great but the waiter could have told us that we’d order a little too much food. He commented after we had eaten and had so many left overs. That said he was super nice otherwise.
The food was great. Only the hash brown disappointed. More Bubble and Squeak than Hash Brown.
Would definitely go again
Dennis provided excellent service. Thanks for a great night!
One must remember this is a steak house in NYC. It’s expensive, but if you’re willing to spend the money, it’s well worth it.
Dinner for 5 a week before Christmas. Had an isolated table on the stair landing, very nice. Food was great as always. Service too.
