Bobby Van's Grill Times Square
The best burger in NYC.. great martinis
Best French Onion soup I ever tasted. Steak was cooked to perfection.
Great evening at the show topped off with a great meal
Was an enjoyable evening with great food and service.
On a cold & rainy Sunday night we were greeted like old friends.
We decided to sit at the bar instead of going to a table.
Everyone was very accommodating-we had a great time
Our experience at Bobby Van’s was incredible. The food was delicious, and every dish we ordered was better than the last. Our waiter Guiseppe was outstanding. He went above and beyond to make our experience extremely enjoyable. Wewill definitely be back again!
Bobby Vans has excellent service and they treat their consumers as family. It was a smooth and friendly visit!
Excelente ubicación muy cerca de los principales teatros de Broadway. Servicio rápido y eficiente.
A dinner after our annual Broadway show!
It was a great “find” while experiencing New York. The restaurant was across from our hotel. We enjoyed the food and the desert was amazing. My husband had the ribeye steak, full of flavor. I had the chicken Marsala and it was great as well. My husband’s steak was better than mine. We had the Belgian waffle and ice cream for dessert. It was delicious!
We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation and were seated promptly by a very nice hostess. It took awhile for the waiter to notice that we were there and there were not many people in the restaurant at the time. He finally came to take our drink order and everything was fine after that.
The steak quality was good (not great), but my porterhouse for 2 was over cooked. It was an average experience overall in regards to everything (service, value, etc).
They ran out of bread and served us PITA instead???
Très bon accueil. Plats de qualité. Excellent vin. Très agréable.
Perfect spot for NYC dining and not in a tourist spot
Good neighborhood restaurant in Times Square for business lunches; not cheap, but not overpriced.
Excellent food and service
The doorman at our hotel recommended this restaurant. We were not disappointed! The service was amazing and the food was delicious! We ordered four different meals and each one hit the spot! We do recommend making reservations ahead of time as the wait is long if you try to just walk in. We cannot wait to visit the city and eat at Bobby Van’s again!
Great food & service - lovely atmosphere
Definitely recommend...nothing over the top, just a solid meal with solid service in a comfortable atmosphere...food was good and had quite the selection...good location to book dinner before a broadway show...
Food was great...The decor could use some updating. Restaurant smelled of water damage.
Went for a business lunch and took over an hour to get the food. When putting a steakhouse in manhattan with all the offices around getting tables in and out is key - this place blew it completely.
Our waiter was very inattentive. I asked for more water at least 4 times and sat with an empty glass, as did my guests. Additionally, he did not come back to see if we wanted coffee or dessert...he just left the bill.
I’m very disappointed and will be writing directly to the restaurant. I normally enjoy my meals and service there...not this time.
Service was Excellent and the Steak according to my husband was fantastic. I order the Chilean Sea Bass, which was just OK, stick to the steak at this steakhouse. The Tuna tar tar appetizer also delicious, didn't love the shrimp cocktail - over cooked. The figgin mule was odd, stick to a regular moscow mule.
Not very good service. I had to get up and ask for a waiter to come take our order
We ate lunch here prior to a show and loved it! The ambiance was very nice, food was excellent and service was attentive and not overbearing. I would go here again!
We went before the theater. We first picked the restaurant for the location and the reviews were good. We were so happy with the food: the wedge salad was excellent and came with unexpected fried onion rings on top. Yum. We chose the Southwest burger. We are from Texas, so it is a real compliment to say that the burger was spectacular. It was cooked perfectly. Our server was so attentive and prompt. We actually had a leisurely meal with plenty of time to reach the theater. Highly recommend.
upon entering Bobby Vans Grille Times Square , an energetic dining atmosphere was upon us. Greeted professionally and friendly to an on time reservation, then our experience began. The wait staff was spot on . Service, knowledge, and accommodating. Food Quality excellent. Crab Cakes, Meatballs, Steaks and sides were of high quality and prepared to our liking. Highly recommend , will return!
Extremely disappointing experience. I had heard positive reviews for Bobby Van’s- and decided to give it a try. I ordered the filet au poivre. Had to send it back twice as I had ordered medium and it was bloody, raw inside the first time. Barely cooked much more the second time. Third time was ok. Meanwhile, my son had already eaten his sirloin steak which he said was satisfactory. The sauce on the steak did not do well after having been reheated twice. Sauce was Nondescript and tasteless. Steak was over seasoned with pepper and the cut of filet had gristle. I was so tired of waiting I didn’t bother to send back again. We were given extra fries and mushrooms as compensation and the owner did come by to apologize. When we ordered dessert, I was given an incorrect order and again waited as my son already had his order. Tiramisu was tasty, tho. Given the abundance of steakhouses in Manhattan, this one definitely will not be given a second chance - especially at $55 for a less than fabulous filet with no side accompaniments. We should have gone back to the Capital Grille!
Excellent. The food was fantastic, service was great. Waitstaff was very nice. Great location.
Everything was awesome! We loved it! Martini, steak, creamed spinach was great!
Consistently good.......... for the first time I found it surprisingly noisy...... but it was Holiday season, at 6:00 PM...... but it did quiet down a bit.. Food is always superb.......... service quite good... an excelent choice in the theatre district.... We'll be back for sure!
Very family friendly with good food!
The steak here is amazing!! Other than having to wait for a seat at the bar while also waiting for our reservation time (we had came early for our reservation and wanted to be seated earlier,) we took notice that several walk-ins were being seated before us. When it was finally our reservation time, we had to go back to the hostess to remind her about our reservation, which it seems like she forgot about. It was a romantic date spot. Not recommended for families..($16 for a grilled cheese??) it was good though, we had it at the bar as an appetizer while we waited. Our waiter was very friendly, but seemed very busy and we would have to almost grab his attention quickly before he left the table to order beverages. We also never recieved water. If the customer service was a bit better, I'd rate this place 5 stars, easy! The food was absolutely delicious. Would still recommend.
I ordered the filet and it wasn’t cooked correctly and had to send it back. My husband has the sea bass which was pretty good. Decent meal but nothing special.
Outstanding service and fine dining! Perfect for pre show dinner!
Portions were huge and food was delicious.
Ordered chicken piccata. It was tough and lacked taste. Dessert was great.
Bobby Van's never disappoints. Quality of food is top of the line, quantity is plentiful, and service is top drawer. Before or after a show, Bobby Van's is perfect.
Great food, a little pricey but awesome service!!
We had a great dinner at Bobby Van's. We highly recommend it for all occasions.
