Have dined at all the locations which are all great but this one is my favorite. Food and service were wonderful. They don't rush you to turn the table.

Went to Bobby Van's pre theatre,had lobster salad,fried calamari,thick bacon as apps ,all were excellent,did porterhouse for 2,creamed spinach, hash browns,buffalo chicken pizza,cooked perfectly,will be back,great service too

We went to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The food was outstanding. I had the lamb chops and they literally melted in my mouth. My husband had the prime rib , that was huge, but delicious . Wait staff was very attentive. Would definitely go back.

My friend and I went for catch-up lunch and the lunch prefix seemed like a very good option. House salad with goat cheese & raspberry was very good, chicken francaise was okay and chocolate mousse was fantastic. Service was good too. The furniture and decor definitely needs an upgrade. The ambiance is not very inviting to non-male clientele. It felt like an old cigar bar, not very inviting to women and to younger professionals at all. Lastly, the water glasses on the table were filled with water stains as if they never dried or washed it properly. This is something that you don't expect from a high class restaurant like Bobby Van's.

The food was great. I enjoyed the Cesar salad, filet mignon with mushroom risotto, and new York style cheesecake. Our waiter was very nice.

Had a quick meal before a show. Cocktails were very good. Crab cocktail excellent. Sauté spinach excellent. Porterhouse for 2 was ok nothing special. Disappointing actually.

First time at Bobby Van’s. From the moment I walked in till I left it very much impressed me. The service was impeccable and the staff warm and congenial. I left the best for last the FOOD!! Excellent from the appetizers to the dessert. I will be going back.

I went to dinner this past Sunday, with three friends during Restaurant Week. Three of us had the flat iron steak as our entrée. Though it was tasty, it was definitely nothing special in taste, texture or presentation. The other entrée was a lobster ravioli which she liked. The options were pretty limited, as to be expected, for Restaurant Week but it looked like to me it changed to what was advertised. We did enjoy the desserts very much! I am glad we didn't pay full price but the restaurant didn't do anything to make me want to go back to give it another try.

I cannot say enough good about the service we received for our event. We had a retirement party at Bobby Van's and from start to finish they were amazing. Peter was great and easy to work with - he came from a place of yes.... it was my pleasure to work with him. Our wonderful, professional waiter Felipe was a kind gentle soul and believe me I bothered him with endless requests and he was on top of it all. He didn't waiver and also had that can do attitude. I will come back and eat at Bobby Van's again. They were tremendous.

I only wouldn't recommend it because I do not venture to the city very often and there are a million steakhouses to try still. I went for the porterhouse, creamed spinach, and hash browns(Peter Luger dinner) to see how it compared and frankly it didn't. Definitely not Earth shattering and VERY expensive, but that's midtown.

This was a dinner with my husband and thirteen year old son before seeing a show. We all enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Service was outstanding. Food, cocktails and wine were all superb.

Arrived prior to a show for dinner. Good menu selections but as with most steak houses, menu is a la carte and $. Nice bread basket upon arrival, we ordered a Filet (medium) and Chicken Marsala, split creamed spinach. Steak was ok (a little over done) nothing special but sauces were good. Marsala was good as was the creamed spinach. Split a Panna cotta with berry sauce for desert. Thought a bit over priced.

Staff is outstanding. The restaurant and bar has an old world feel. Dumpling app was awesome. Enjoyed may favorite combo filet and lobster. No complaints see it for yourself.

Holiday dining in The City puts a strain on restaurants near major attractions. This proved to be the case on the night we visited. Our food was good, our waiter gave us a memorable evening so the experience was a tremendous success. However, the hustle of busboys constantly running behind us up the aisles with carts of food or dirty dishes made our dining feel rushed and felt like we were in the kitchen although we were not. At 7 pm on this particular night, the waiters were visibly showing signs of exhaustion. At the holidays, take your patience and enjoy whatever is given to you. As I said, the food was good as served.....not exactly what and how we ordered it.

Way over priced. The meal was cooked poorly. Sautéd spinach was very salty and the hashbowns burnt. Steak was burnt on outside raw in the middle on one of the steaks. My steak was overcooked. Didnt get the baked mac n cheese but was on the bill. That happens but still annoying. Will not revisit again. Waste of money. Need a new chef!
