Great ribs and pulled pork. The sides were also very good, esp. the pecan cole slaw.

MY WIFE AND I MAKE COMPETITION BAR-B-QUE. SMOKED PRIME BRISKET, BURNT ENDS, RIBS, CHICKEN, WINGS, TURKEY AND SAUSAGE. I ASKED MY WAITER IF THEY HAD BURNT ENDS AND HE SAID YES OF COURSE. I ORDERED THE BRISKET PLATE WITH RANCH STYLE BEANS AND PECAN COLE SLAW. MY WIFE ORDERED THE BABY BACK RIBS WITH RANCH STYLE BEANS AND PECAN COLE SLAW. CORNBREAD CAME FIRST HOT AND DELICIOUS. GREAT BEERS ON TAP TO GO WITH YOUR BAR-B-QUE MEAL AS WELL. TO MY SURPRISE BEFORE WE COULD FINISH OUR BUTTERED CORNBREAD OUR FOOD WAS DELIVERED. THE WAITER ASKED US IF I WOULD LIKE SOME ADDITIONAL BAR-B-QUE SAUCE AND I SAID SURE WHAT DO YOU HAVE. THEY HAVE REGULAR, SPICY AND CHIPOTLE DIP FOR THE BRISKET. THE CHIPOTLE DIP CAME WARM IN A SERVING DISH AND TO MY SURPRISE THE REGULAR AND SPICY BAR-B-QUE SAUCE CAME IN SMALL METAL CARAFE'S. I POURED A LITTLE OF EACH SAUCE ON THE SIDE. WOW, IT WAS DELICIOUS AND WARM (COMPETITION STYLE). FINALLY, A RESTAURANT THAT GETS IT. OH, AND THE BRISKET AND BABY BACK RIBS, WELL THEY RIVAL MY BEST ATTEMPTS AT COMPETITION BAR-B-QUE. THANK YOU LAURA HOGAN - MANAGER AND VERY KIND HOST WHO HAD US ALSO TRY THEIR ROASTED CORN AND SUGGESTED WE TRY THE FRESHLY MADE COMPLIMENTARY MINI CINNAMON DONUTS IN THE "THANK Q" BROWN BAG WHEN WE LEFT. Saved a seat online knowing it's always swamped on a sat. Got there with 2 min to spare only to have to wait 15 min. We were the ONLY party of 2 at that moment. Surprisingly it turned around quick once we got in. We had taylor as our waitress, she asked for our drinks at which time we also placed our order. To her surprise and ours as she came to bring us our drinks our food was being sat in front of us. The food is always fire. Patience is key lol.

It was a last minute decision to eat at Bobby Q’s but they never disappoint. I was able to get a reservation on Open Table for a Friday night at 7:15. Arrived right at 7:15 and was seating almost immediately.

Our waitress was very attentive and lighthearted. She was aware of the fact that it was just my wife and I next to a party of about 40, which made things extremely loud. The food and service definitely made up for the noise.

And the icing is always the hot donuts as the takeaway. We almost didn’t leave room for them.

We’ll definitely be back again.

Our 2nd visit was just as good as the 1st. Four of us ordered the Whole Hog Heaven dinner where you pick 2 ribs and 2 meat choices plus 3 sides. Everything was good. Our waitress helped us to make the decision to try this big entrée and some of it went home. The cornbread that comes to the table with butter is delicious as are the freshly made doughnuts that you leave with in a paper bag. The only negative comment would be that the sides were small for 4 people.

Overall we were happy. Took a group of 5 for a birthday dinner. I thought it was a tad pricey for BBQ....I mean we're not talking haute cuisine but....it was the best tasting BBQ I've had in the valley! Calamari appetizer was awesome...never had it in the manner served. St Louis Ribs were falling off the bones tender and full of flavor... brisket was likewise tender and full of flavor...a tad dry but easily remedied with some more sauce. The only other challenge was the decibel level. It was so loud we could really only converse with whomever sat directly beside you....but that's the trade-off for a busy place that's busy for a reason.

Probably one of the top 3 BBQ joints in Phoenix. Please remember we are in Phoenix not, KC or Memphis or St. Louis. But consistent food and great service. Love the cornbread and the mini donuts they give you as you leave. Great atmosphere. Lots of food.
