Bobby Q's - Biltmore Plaza Ratings and Reviews
Enjoyed our meal, the friendly service and the pretty atmosphere. The design of the restaurant is done nicely- dark enough to feel more intimate and classy. Also liked that I could order vegetarian option (the couscous salad was big enough as a dinner and had lots of delicious flavor) yet my husband could eat his meat. He liked the bbq and is picky. So overall food was great! Only negative which was a big one was the price for a simple glass of wine. The only choice was a $16 glass of wine!!! Very pricey for this type of restaurant. And thought that the wine was not even good! So sadly, this would keep us from coming back. Hubby and I like to enjoy one glass of wine for dinner but when the only wine offering is more than the entrees, there is a problem.
Best bbq I’ve been to in a long time. Each time I’ve come to Phoenix, I’ve seen the Bobby Q’s off 17. My son recently moved closer to Scottsdale and we were visiting during Christmas break. I found that there was a new location. It’s in a mall area, tucked into a corner. Parking was still easy. Loved the inside, with a rustic charm, but classy. Our waiter, Joey was helpful with suggestions. We choose baby back ribs, brisket, pork and my son even had some sausage. The ribs melted off the born (exactly how we love it). Good sauce but not too heavy. Even tho I’m not eating carbs, I did have a bite of cornbread muffin and it was worth every carb. Liked that it was more of a disk than a big square (easy to eat). My husband had the Mac & cheese. My son and I had broccoli and the Brussels spourts. Both veggies had a twang to it that I didn’t particularly like. The waiter said it’s cus they throw the veggies on the grill. Wish management would re-think. I purchased a gift card on the sly, so he could come back and enjoy or take out. He told me this restaurant was the best find.
Great looking restaurant, service great, the food was ok. Brussel sprouts and mash potatoes were great my husband loved the beef ribs. The baby backs weren’t as tender as I usually like but they were good, a more seasoned bbq would bring it to the next level. Donuts were great! My favorite part. Service was wonderful wish i could remember his name
I was pleasantly surprised! The food, service and ambiance were excellent. I had the brisket and it was juicy and full of flavor. The cornbread was delicious - wanted to order an extra one but watching my diet.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good bbq and with a classier environment.
We have been to the BobbyQ's in West Phx and LOVED it - it is in the ghetto so we were very excited when one closer to us opened at Biltmore. We OpenTable'd on the night before ThanksGiving as it was my husbands 40th bday and our 15 year anniversary and we thought the kids would like the bbq - so we made our reservations ahead of time. We came in and she told me there was a table on the patio being cleared for us - so we waited and thenTWENTY minutes later and TWO other families who were seated ON THE PATIO - ahead of us - she came over to us and said that those 2 other families were late for their reservations and that they were now clearing a table for us in the dining room - "luckily" for us - the heater was CRANKED up and it was stuffy and gross in the dining room! The people who were whispering and doing some quick "thinking" before they sent the sweet girl/hostess to tell us about the 2 LATE families would not even look at us - but we DID see them pointing at us - so I knew right away, we got screwed - maybe it was because we came casual, it's located next to a Safeway for gosh sakes. It took a long time for someone to come over to us - once she did, the waitress was nice and lovely - but she seemed busy and could have used some help from all of the people standing around at the front who screwed us out of our reservation and our patio table. There was no mention of the 40th bday or our anniversary, which is fine - but we have decided we will go back to the ghetto where I guess your kinder and more professional workers are located, if we go back at all - we were shocked. Being that I own my own marketing firm and my husband is an attorney, we have some spare money to spend when it comes to dining out - maybe you all should not make assumptions about people just because they are in sweats and Lululemon pants - seems like a rookie mistake. We won't recommend or be back to this location - which sucks as it is closer to us. Thanks for nothing BobbyQ's Biltmore.
We visited the Phoenix Bobby Q's in 2014. The food at the Biltmore did not seem to have the same smoky taste as the Phoenix location. Granted, it was three years ago. The food was good, and the sides were terrific. This place is much smaller than the Phoenix location.
