   Too noisy in main restaurant, crammed tables, poor wheelchair access, nice lounge area would have been better to eat there except we had a disabled person with us. Shuttle service from carrick mansionhouse very poor, cobfusing about where its supposed to operate between. One bus had a step for elderly person the next bus didnt, one had umberellas the next one dudnt abd it was raining heavily!!!

   Had a great lunch on a wonderful sunny day . Service was very good and the ambience was lovely . Food was lovely. I only wish that they would do breakfast as well.

   Everything was great apart from the steak which was bit dry and chewy. However everything else was fantastic, the location the staff are all amazing. I have been before and will put this experience of poor quality food down to a one off. Was a little bit shocked when the bill came was more than expected but not entirely unreasonable as we had more drinks we normally do.

   I dined in the boathouse on Sunday 28th February with my girlfriend for her birthday whilst staying over night at the Cameron House. The staff were all really friendly and food was of a good standard. However, a lot of the items were not available on the menu and also the portion sizes for the haddock and chips was like a kids potion of fish goujons. I don't know if this was because they were so busy however I thought with most customers making a reservation food would be purchased to accommodate the number of bookings made.

   Last weekend my family gathered at the Boatyard for Sunday lunch and the experience was excellent with good service, good food and a great atmosphere especially as we had a 3 year old with us. I would recommend to anyone with a family.

   It has been a while since I have visited the Boat House but I wasn't disappointed with this iteration! I have seen five different refurbs for the restaurant over the last 20 years, and it has improved with each one. There is a very cosy lounge area for pre-dinner drinks and gatherings. The service in here was excellent, although some of the drinks were a tad on the expensive side. We were able to peruse the menu and order our food in the lounge. Our drinks were carried through when our starters were ready and the service throughout the meal was impecable. The food was of the standard you would hope for in somewhere like the Boat House and myself, my wife and my son all thoroughly enjoyed our food. The squid was superb! The restaurant has a very family feel to it so if you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner I would recommend one of the other restaurants in the hotel. I will be booking again at the Boat House next time I am in the area.

   With lack of vegetarian options I ordered a pasta starter as a main and they charged £18 for it! Over the top. Shame, because the staff are nice and the ambience is lovely

    Loved the setting. Loved the atmosphere. The food and service were excellent. Highly recommend, particularly for a lunch or afternoon bite with the lovely daytime views.
