Great food, great service—noisy group behind us

Super awesome prices for SUCH fresh seafood. Was a great dinner for my last night on vacation

We found the food to be just ho-hum. The service was not really that timely but it was very friendly. The price was not commensurate to the quality of the food. We had 4 people in our party, we drank no alcohol and our bill was $200 after tip. I normally expect some fairly good quality food at this price point, but unfortunately, the food was subpar to even a “Red Lobster” restaurant. Pretty sad. I tipped 20% just because I want to support the waitresses. It wasn’t worth it and I won’t go back and don’t recommend it based on our experience.

We found that the menu has been updated. The dishes we had were very good.

The manager would not let us walk to our table without putting masks on our 6yo boys. My husband and I had no issue with wearing our own, but don’t feel comfortable putting them on our young children. Take that for what it means to you.

Second time eating in a restaurant indoors in a year. Waiters all wore masks properly and menus was digital using your smart phone. Tables are socially distanced. 👍👍 for safe protocols and great food. Sunset was gorgeous, too!

Not sure if it was because the reservation was late but they stuck my girlfriend and I in a dark corner on the other side of the bar downstairs. Not many choice on the menu, but the food was good.

Look, this isn't a five star restaurant but it really isn't designed to be one. Food is good, the service was as expected, price was fair and our meal arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Our table was a spaced appropriately and the facility was observing safety protocols relative to COVID-19. It was also nice to have valet parking. So, I give a well-earned four stars and recommend the restaurant for anyone looking for casual dining.

It was our anniversary and included that fact in my reservation request....however it was never acknowledged.

Server was more attentive to other groups and took an inordinate amount of time to check on our drinks...and provide us with the drinks after we ordered.

The food was of poor quality. Honestly it was comparable to Red Lobster. My wife ordered a fried seafood platter and couldn’t eat even half of it. Poor quality and taste. My boiled seafood platter was rubbery.

Such a disappointment...and a complete waste of $100+ dollars.

Loved our dinner!!

We come to Charleston 2-3 times a year. We love coming to the Boathouse. Good food, service, and ambiance.

Food was overpriced. I got blackened fish and it was watery and did not have good flavor. And the two sides were good but not at all the quality I was expecting. Still enjoyed my time there, and the service was great. Just did not understand why it was so expensive.

Disappointed in the quality and portion of the seafood. The broth the seafood was served in had a lemon/lime taste which we did not like.

This is as a enjoyable diner out. The outdoor seating was enclosed in plastic so that was not really outdoors. The food was very good and the service excellent. I was disappointed they did not have bread or even breadsticks to go with my soup.

The Boathouse at Breach never disappoints, and this was no exception. The service was great and the food was fantastic. We will return again, and again, and again! Well done staff!!

Food was not hot and low quality. Compared to other restaurants in the area it was not as good and overpriced. Wasn’t terrible but wouldn’t go back.

If you're looking for great seafood and a cute, semi-quiet atmosphere this is the place. We always enjoy dinner at Boathouse!

The service was great and food was very good. Pimento cheese grits and collared greens as side dishes were incredible.
