Boathouse at Breach Inlet
Nice nautical atmosphere, casual dining and the best key lime pie I've ever had!
For $30 I got a few shrimp a dried up piece of flounder and a hush puppy. I don’t remember if there was a side , if so it was was forgettable. the food was too greasy too overcooked and very small portions for the amount of money paid I’ve been there before and liked it but I will not go again . There are too many really good restaurants in this area to spend a lot of money at the boathouse
Just what you'd expect from a classic American seaside restaurant plus great service. We really enjoyed it!
My wife and I went on a Minday evening. The food was excellent. We had the hushpuppies, fried green tomatoes and oysters for appetizers. All were very good. We both had the swordfish for our entree. Again all was prepared well. Their collars greens were great!. Good service from Meg S.
Absolutely wonderful food and fabulous service! We will definitely return!
Service was horrible.
Good but would have been better when it was light outside. Definitely a unique mix of date night and people who have out on a boat all day drinking. Very disappointed in the lobster tho
Went for special Birthday dinner and disappointed. All food was loaded with salt!
Dessert was awful too. soggy key lime pie!
The wait staff was the only positive.
Our waitress was excellent. It was a very cold night and we requested a view but they did not warn us the porch would be so cold had to eat with jackets on.
The waitress had the manager bring the gas heater over so we could at least eat rather than leave. This was the only plus. They only had 2 heaters on this large porch area.
Food grossly overpriced! No parking so had to use there valet parking staff.
Would not recommend this restaurant.
We made a last minute reservation on Valentine's night. Table was ready on arrival, waitress was excellent and the food was delicious. Definitely reccomend
Overall it was great.
Such a disappointment. Though we were seated close to our reservation time, it wasn't until almost an hour later that the waiter came back to take our order (once we waved him down). My husband ordered steak and lobster which included two EMPTY lobster shells and one with a tiny bit of meat (basically two bites of lobster). Both of our meals were very mediocre, at best. The only tasty item were the collard greens. We live out of town; and, the Boathouse used to be our 'go to place'. The last three times have been increasing disappointing. Three times too many; time to find a new go to.
Everything was delicious 😋 we had lobster 🦞 with fili and potatoes and collard yummy 😋 a nice bottle of wine 🍷 Pinot and the valentines ended with a dreamy slice of key lime pie
food was excellent and drinks were just ok.. sitting in the rear on the deck was not the best; heaters were almost too warm... service was good but a little slow... like this place and will return but will try to sit in the bar area..
Great food and great overall experience, parking is tricky due to valet parking is difficult to see at night and unless you know about it
Very very good experience, pricing was high but it was worth every dollar!!
Paying for the location. Same food on Coleman is half the price.
We enjoyed the evening. We felt our service was a little too casual. No bread or anything for the table. We ordered scallops and the Flounder special. Both were good.
Not sure whether it was because it’s the “off-season” or was just one of those nights. Was rather disappointed with the quality of the food. The salad was aged, with more brown lettuce and vegetables then fresh. The main courses were overcooked and dry, as well as lacking flavor. Definitely was not worth what we ended up spending.
We have been going to The Boathouse to celebrate family members birthdays for the past few years, which became a tradition, but we will no longer be doing so. Will be looking for a new place from now on.
I took a group of teenagers for a special dinner and we all loved our meals and our server. It was a really nice dinner and we will definitely be back soon.
My husband and I love dining here especially in the warm weather when we can have a drink outside. That definitely didn’t happen this visit (February!), but we enjoyed our meal very much anyway.
Excellent food and outstanding service. Noisy and background music is unnecessary. Can’t hear it fully but it just adds to the overall loudness. Turn it off!!
Food was terrible, the restaurant smelled, and part of one dish was not brought to the table until after we had finished eating. Seriously, for a seafood specializing place, the fish was terrible.
Please do not waste your money.
Really disappointed this visit; quality and attention to detail have plummeted. We had to revisit the limited wine list 3 times before finding a bottle in stock. Services was sluggish with long waits between visits...
Food was the biggest disappointment with only one choice for a fresh local fish. My flounder was clearly frozen and was accompanied by 4 fried oysters...for $24. Plates were sloppily prepared and uninteresting. Blackened shrimp were rubbery and unevenly cooked. We cut our losses and headed out before dessert. Clearly this esteemed restaurant has its work cut out for it in this competitive food town!
Great spot for brunch! Large portions of great tasting food. Chef even came out to help serve and check on us.
Great food and great service. Valet parking was a plus I thought the tables for two were very small with not enough room to eat comfortably and were so close that the back of my chair was hitting the person behind me. Other than that I would highly recommend.
Appetizer of calamari was outstanding. Meal was average for seafood restaurant along the coast.
Sunset over the creek. Don't usually like collard greens but they are good here. Good wine. Seafood really yummy.
A nice balance between a blue collar fish place and something more sophisticated. The food was good and portions substantial. But I’ve never had a saltier meal. The food was good enough that the flavors could have stood on their own without an overload of salt. That keeps me from giving it a better rating for the food. I’ll have to roll the dice and go back to see if it was an anomaly or if their food is usually like this.
The restaurant time has abandoned.
Friday night and it was dead.
For a reason.
Super nice servers.
Food is just bland. Very average.
My wife’s lamb was mostly fat and the garlic potatoes were so over seasoned that they were inedible
I had the shrimp and grits that would embarrass any low country chef
That being said the waitstaff were very attentive and a pleasure
I so wanted this place to be good. Food and service was just okay. With so many other choices in the area I wouldn’t go back.
It’s been a couple of years since I was last there at Boathouse. We went there for New Years Eve and enjoyed everything about it. The only reason I dinged on the food was because my son-in-law ordered duck fries and what he got was more like home fries. The selection of appetizers and entrees was excellent with a good mix of seafood and other entrees for non seafood lovers.
The servers name was Tom and he was top notch. He anticipated all aspects of the meal and was there when we needed him and was gone when we didn’t.
I’ll be sure and go there sooner the next time.
Great food and service!
Brought the entire family for fresh seafood—not disappointed. Had a party of seven and were seated out on the porch during cold rain and winds. Noise level was bad when the rain was coming down, and the ambiance on the porch is lacking. Still, food is excellent, and we will definitely be back
They truly tried to make the best of it for Christmas Eve dinner
Food was very good. The dessert was probably the low point of the meal. Entrees were excellent.. Restaurant was very busy, but servers did pretty well considering. We love the bartender, who is always friendly and attentive. Overall a good experience for a holiday meal on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Eve is not a good night to go.
Both fish orders were way over cooked($35 grouper). Julie did a great job trying to help the kitchen staff, but when we only received half of our desserts, the night was over.
When we were here for thanksgiving and it was great, so we decided to do the 50 mile round trip from Hollywood again.
Went to the well once to often.
Albeit was Christmas Eve, and it was busy. The food was just ok. Service was pretty good. Our waitress was new but she did ok.
Absolutely the best fish and collard greens ever!!! And I don’t like collards but I’d eat theirs everyday! Fish is fresh and seasons wonderful- Not the greatest plushy environment but who cares when the food is that good !!! View is amazing and so is the staff.
