BOA Steakhouse - Sunset Ratings and Reviews
Boa Steakhouse was a pleasant find for us. My wife and adult children enjoyed everything about the restaurant. Once we sat down our service was top notch. The waiter was every where he needed to be. It felt like we had are own server but it was that he was so attentive to our every need or his helper was there. The food was top notch also. We are fans of Maestro's but BOA Steakhouse is just as good. Everything we had was really good. The King crab with the Cajun seasoning was one of our favorites. My family will definitely want to go back to BOA and I will make that happen.
The best steakhouse in LA. Great choice of cuts, from filet mignon to strip steak to rib eye, etc.. Delicious appetizers. And great choices of seafood. Much better food and overall experience than any other steak house in LA (Mastro’s, Palm, STK, Cut, Wolfgang’s, etc.). And the service is always wonderful. Don’t waste our time or money elsewhere if you want great steaks, great seafood, and low-fat alternatives like Bison and Ostrich.
I've been going to BOA for years but haven't been in a while and went this week.
Ordered the MED Seafood tower and not only did the price go up, the size of the platter was about half of what they served in the past.
Very disappointed and will not be going back.
Incredibly attentive staff. Everything we ordered was delicious. The recommendation is the table side Cesar salad and the dry aged meats. I ordered the 40 day New York Strip, which I felt is enough to share with another person, but I'm also a petite person. The sides are definitely enough to share. Great experience.
Host and bar service was outstanding. Our waiter was slow, but friendly. Seafood platter ranged from excellent (the oysters and ceviche) to fine (clams) to inedible (the crab and United smelled awful). Steaks were cooked correctly and wine list is extensive. Very nice dining room.
We had very good food and enjoyed excellent and attentive service. We were served in a pleasant outdoor atmosphere, open to the sky. They were very flexible in accommodating our party, originally for four, then increased to six, and then a last minute emergency reduced us to four again. Valet parking charge was cut in half when we paid our bill. The cost for our party of four was well over $600 including tip.
The service was friendly and informative when asking questions. The food was delicious. Steaks were cooked to perfection and tender as well as the Salmon. Side dishes were outstanding. I took my mother for her 62nd birthday and look forward to visiting again.
Scrumptious, as always. I cannot visit LA from Atlanta without dining at BOA. My filet, Mac and cheese and s’mores dessert was pure perfection. The staff is always pleasant, professional and fun. The managers who stopped by the table were kind and actually engaged. I’ll be back!
All steaks were severely underdone and had to be sent back for more cooking. This took an inordinate amount of time and the effect was that we all had our dinner at different times. Moreover, the wait staff was conscientious and attentive until about halfway through our dinner and then virtually disappeared. Took 20 minutes after ordering to get our desserts and coffee. The Banana Cream Tart was absolutely abominable and virtually inedible. This is the first time we've had a bad experience at this restaurant.
Went to BOA with three others. Both food and service was outstanding. Our waiter (I believe his name is Guy) was the best. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu and his recommendations were spot on - the sea bass and smashed broccoli will keep us coming back. The waiter was also expert in the wine department and recommended the perfect wine for our food.
I gave my daughter a gift card to BOA for her birthday. Her mom and I watched the kids while she and her hubby wen to dinner. They had a great time and the restaurant gave them a complimentary cocktail and a birthday cake desert.
Great touch BOA..well done!
