   This is a perfect place for a birthday/ fancy date/or just to get amazing food, service was 10 out of 10, the restaurant was so beautiful, and aesthetically pleasing

   I deeply regret choosing to celebrate my 35th birthday at BLVD Steakhouse. This was my first visit to Chicago, and I spent a great deal of time researching restaurants for a special birthday dinner. BLVD stood out primarily because of its beautiful grand staircase. I was genuinely excited to take photos there after dinner to mark the occasion. We were seated promptly and received quick service, which I appreciated. The BLVD burger was excellent, and the mashed potatoes were delicious. However, the steak frites were overcooked and burnt. I had requested it medium well, but that was not how it was served. The scallops and macaroni and cheese were unfortunately extremely salty and underwhelming. Interestingly, the table next to us complained about the same dish and had theirs removed. After dinner, I attempted to take photos by the staircase, a major reason I chose this restaurant, but I was abruptly stopped by a man who didn’t appear to be a staff member. He told me that no photos were allowed by the steps. I was confused, as nothing on the restaurant’s website indicated that photos were prohibited in that area. The policy only mentions “no flash” and “no excessive photography,” which I respected. To make matters worse, I was told to leave the steps while simply waiting for my friend, who had gone upstairs to use the restroom. That area had no elevator access, by the way. When I asked the hostesses for clarification, they were dismissive and eventually became outright rude. The way I was spoken to was shocking and, frankly, unacceptable. I fully understand the importance of policies and guidelines, which is why I took time to read them beforehand. But what I experienced was not a policy issue. It was a failure of communication, hospitality, and basic courtesy. This experience cast a shadow over what was supposed to be a celebratory evening, and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone looking forward to dining here.

   The food was lacking in seasoning, and the waitstaff could have been more friendly; it took too long for our server to approach our table. However, the atmosphere of the place was quite nice.

   The fried chicken was cooked in burnt grease. We were none of the last parties land the grease should’ve been changed.

   I’ve had Blvd a few times recently, I love their dinners! So I thought their brunch would be as good or at least close to it. My cousin came in from Arizona and I thought this would be good for us to celebrate. We were going to do Prime and Provision but I was confident in the blvd since I’ve enjoyed it so much this past month. Their Mother’s Day brunch was such a disappointment! The food and the price point! I prepaid for 4 meals at 47 dollars and change and of course tax that I would also pay again on the final bill…the bill was still 140 dollars and we had 2 drinks a kids sprite and orange juice…one child’s meal which they charged me 15 bucks for although I paid for her to have a full 3 course meal. Everything else was included and prepaid. The math just doesn’t math on that even with the 18% added gratuity. If the food was good I swear I would’ve been ok with being bamboozled lbs but my God… it was just a cash grab, we could’ve just eaten the free buffet included at our stay at the embassy. The highlight was the caesar salad no exaggeration and it’s the ONLY thing that anyone ate entirely. It’s nothing worse than having a $300 BRUNCH with no alcohol and the food is trash too. Service was great. Love the music as always. Thanks.

   The food at this restaurant just didn’t live up to the price. It had flavor, sure—but it wasn’t worth over $340. The salmon was just okay, maybe not even average. The mashed potatoes were lukewarm and underwhelming. The bread? Mediocre at best. Now, the service was solid. The waitresses and hostess were friendly and professional, and the overall experience with the staff was good. The drinks were actually very good, and the ambience was on point. The interior has a dark, moody vibe with a big chandelier that adds a nice touch. You can’t take pictures with flash, which makes sense given the low lighting. Overall, the atmosphere and drinks stood out more than the food. I wouldn’t come back for the food, but I’d consider returning just for the drinks and the vibe. For the price, though, the meal just wasn’t worth it.

   Great restaurant to go to for celebrations or parties, dates nights or anniversaries. Very calm and intimate environment. It is a great restaurant with so much attention to detail, customers and food. Very attentive and wonderful service

   BLVD this night was good drinks and service, but my wife asked for her ribeye to be well done and they brought it back medium well. So we had them take it back and when they brought it back, it was still pink. On the other hand, I asked for my steak to be medium well and they brought it back well done and dry. The steaks were bland no seasoning, so we asked for steak sauce, and they brought it out ice cold.  I’m going to stop there, ultimately our experience definitely wasn’t worth the cost.

    Phenomenal service from Rob! The dish portions were on the smaller side, but other than that everything was great.
