beautiful restaurant but food and service were terrible.
The wait service was outstanding. Great experience. Great value.
I have a gluten allergy and the menu was very accommodating.
Other than the noise level making it a little difficult to have conversation, I had a great time with my friends. We tried a bunch of small plates and then a flatbread and the gnocchi entree. Everyone enjoyed the food. The floral motif and interactive drink menu was very fun. Our waiter, I think his name was Earl, was THE BEST!
The entrance to Blume is very odd - you walk in to the restaurant and are immediately facing a wall. There was no obvious hostess stand, so we didn’t know which way to turn. We stood there for a few minutes before finally being greeted by someone with a spray bottle and a rag in her hand. After being seated, we placed our order for dinner. My husband ordered the buffalo chicken flatbread, and I ordered the salmon. The flatbread was delicious, but quite small - it really should have been marked as an appetizer. The salmon was undercooked, and the whole dish, but especially the rice, was bland. I sent it back to have it cooked more, and then it was at least edible. But I added salt to the dish, and it was still tasteless. I would not return to Blume.
if you are here for pure aesthetics and the ambiance of how the place look and not quality service, food, drinks, or anything else, this is the place for you.
It had nothing to offer but looks. Which is a complete shame because it has beautiful interior. I don’t write reviews often and even so this place had provoked me to write one to warn others about it.
For someone who loves the city and loves celebrations of birthdays, this had to be the poorest dinner I have ever been to. We waited 7 mins in front - looking completely lost. we had made reservations prior and there was no hostess to sit us. We was sat in the very front away from the waitresses so we were often forgotten and neglected. we got our water immediately but our food orders did not get order 30 mins after.
We brought a cake in also, which we cleaned the table and waited. We asked the waitress could we clear the table for the cake. Still had to wait. We had to stalk someone to help us which they mentioned the other waitress that was the originally waitress didn’t tell her. I didn’t even know who my “main” waitress was because I had to flag down ANYONE to help since there was no help to offer! I even saw two of the waitress that were originally helping and I guess one of them was suppose to be my “main waitress” drinking at the bar and then leaving ( I guess that was their scheduled time). But seeing that and having no service because there was a lack of presence on the floor.. turned my whole table off.
The food was OKAY. We had a $160 check for a mediocre experience. When asked how was everything, we cited the food and drinks were terrible. The drinks only LOOKED nice as well but we all didn’t enjoy it. The bubble machine for smoke didn’t even work properly, which is the reason why we ordered the drinks.
We waited forever until the cake came. The place was literally empty. We didn’t even was in the mood to stay anymore. I would rather simply go elsewhere for a more enjoyable experience.
First time dining here and was not impressed with the food selection. Def not a spot to order entres - more appetizers than anything. Flat bread was dry and the waitress was nice enough to offer another option. I ordered a salad and unfortunately left very hungry. I’d recommend this as a happy hour spot or late night cocktail. Def not a place for dinner date.
Music too loud
In town for a weekend getaway and found this online. Looked super cute but that’s it. My vodka and cranberry was straight cranberry juice and the calamari were cold and unseasoned. We didn’t even stay for dinner and left after appetizers and ended up finding Max Brennens down the street instead. Max’s was delicious!
It was not what I was expecting but I really liked the atmosphere and the food. It was not loud, the hostess was very nice and server was even nicer. Overall I would recommend this place ro friends and family.
Really great happy hour deals, excellent cocktails, but the food was only ok. Fun for a girls night out of your looking for a more casual drink spot.
Took 30-35 mins for a happy hour flatbread. Food and service was just okay.
Service was terrible, food came out before our beers did....said the bar was backed up.....we ordered two beers. No urgency and didn’t even get our first contact from waitress for 20 minutes and was not very busy even. Cool decor but that’s about it.
Literally the best food I’ve tried in a long time. Very modern cool ambiance. Enjoyed every moment.
My party enjoyed their food. The only thing that wasn't good was the lobster flatbread, which was soggy and very very salty.
loved my waiter ! food was awesome and so was the vibe of the place . perfect for valentine’s day
Blum was very nice. Food was very delicious staff was excellent.
The worst experience I have had in a very long time. The service was horrible. No one greater us when we walked in. We waited 10 minutes to find someone to give our name and reservation than she left again and didn’t return . I asked someone else it we could sit at the table by the window and they said yes
No one came over, never gave us menus
Then came over to tell us we couldn’t sit there.
We walked out!! It’s was my husbands birthday and it put a real cramp in our night!!
I am definitely a fan. Food is clean, delicious, and plated beautifully and the drinks were fantastic! Would highly recommend for brunch!!
My restaurant week experience at Blume was phenomenal - but the food was just not the same quality this time around.
Would recommend if you want a nice place to take cute place and have a few drinks with friends!
I think this place is cute to take pictures but the lightening in there is terrible. I got calamari, Casear salad and salmon. The first two were good but the salmon was bland, rice tasted as if it was out of a box and string beans it came with were okay. I had non alcoholic drinks. The waiter, I didn’t like her. Her name was Kayla or something. She bought me a drink with alcohol and THEN asked for my ID and looked over it 3 times as if she couldn’t count. Atmosphere 4 stars. It’s cute in there but food honestly 2 1/2. It’s okay for a friends get together for something quick
My daughters “sweet 16” birthday!
Great cocktails! Appetizer was great and so was the entree, I just wish the portions were slightly larger for the price paid.
With all the great choices in the city don’t choose this one. Out if entrees prior to 8 pm on a Saturday night, the excuse was we just finished restaurant week. Truly did your chef not do an inventory or call his sales person. ‘Manager’ or person who said they were knew nothing about ordering food when questioned. Finished our appetizer and left to them it was oh well there’s the door so other fool will walk in.
The put us at a high top table in the bar area which was wedged in between a window and the corner of the bar (clearly not meant to be there). The service was fair and the food was the same. The ambiance is not nearly as cool as it looks in the pics and just overall I wouldn't go back. The concept seemed "half baked" with nothing really extraordinary about the menu at all. They only had one thing as a dessert that night and they were out of it. Disappointing at best.
Are food was good, but nothing special. Service was very good, friendly and helpful.
The ambiance was great service could have been a lot better . Food I went with to of my girlfriends and we are not particular at all the only thing we enjoyed was our company an the dessert which was cookies and cream ice cream everything else it was something wrong and after spending $50 each I was definitely not satisfied
I wasn’t impressed and there was nothing about it that would make me go back. However, it wasn’t a bad experience. It’s a good place for casual dining with friends.
I had been there before for drinks but never food. Well I wasn’t missing much. It was all so mediocre. It also took so long to come out that everything was cold by the time it got to me. Also the famous hanging plants in the ceiling were all dead. Just overall mad that I paid for all that.
If you're looking for an Instagram moment, go during the daytime when the lighting is better. If you're looking for good food, go somewhere else.
Came for restaurant week and was completely disappointed...
Started with the avocado sundae which I admit was good but that’s where the positive review in regards to the food ends. The loaded fries left a lot to be desired was there suppose to be cheese on it? Couldn’t find any. Dry loaded fries shouldn’t be a thing... main course was the most flavorless beef and mashed potatoes I ever had didn’t even finish nor did I see the purpose to take it to go, my culinary skills couldn’t bring that to the level it should have been. The most horrific part is the aftermath of the food not agreeing with me at 1am. Sorry BLUME never again
I would not recommend BLUME to a friend. My party was seated 45 minutes after our reservation and received extremely poor service and food.
With the understanding that my reservation was made during restaurant, I did expect things to be more delayed but over all my party stayed for about 2 hours and we had not yet received our main courses so we decided to take both the main course and desserts to go when they finally arrived. They also ran out if vegan food options. The scnery was great as well as the service and servers. We really appreciated them getting to us as quickly as they were able to and being so accommodating and kind but I think the significant amount of time we stayed there waiting negatively effected our dining experience.
It is a beautiful restaurant. However the layout makes no sense. They seemed short staffed so there was a wait when there were several open tables. Additionally, I sent back one entree to get one that was terrible (the gnocchi). The loaded fries were delicious though!
Cool new spot in Philly. Food is good! Small spot be not tight. Decor definitely has some photo opts
Excellent food in an eclectic atmosphere. The flatbread pizzas are excellent.....the avocado sundae is a nice change. The gnocchi and braised beef w/mashed potatoes were to die for.
Avacado sundae was delicious! Great place for girls night out.
I recommend Blume not to accept reservations at the time the doors open. I had a 4pm reservation this evening. Arrived at 3:52 and the front doors were locked, I entered through the bar and was told they would not be open until 4pm. I came back 10 minutes later and the front doors were still closed. Anyways once seated the ambiance is very nice and the music was lit. Kudos to the chef, everything was fresh and delicious 😋. The restaurant week menu was awesome with lots of great vegan options. Overall since I came for the food I was satisfied and will return again.
Service was horrible. Food was good up to the entree which is disappointing. I call this a millineal restaurant. Not really sure what their concept is. Looks like they threw some fake flowers and plants on the walls and ceilings and made it “instagram-worthy” to attract people to come in and take pictures and dine there. The best part was the food-runner/busser. Efficient and friendly. Wished we could’ve handed our server’s tip to him. Would we come again? Maybe if they had a good happy hour and we can sit at the bar to avoid getting our server again. For dinner?—no.
