Great ambiance and unique menu. The prices are a little high for a smaller venue but still a pleasant experience.
I would only recommend the drinks. The food was horrible and the service was bad.
Terrible Service. Out of everything. Bathrooms were filthy.
I had made a reservation and I figured that having one would mean that I would get a nicer spot in the restaurant but when we were seated, we were placed in the worst spot where there was very little decor. The waitress seemed to forget about us since we were so out of the way. The food was very mediocre. We order two appetizers, the avocado sundae and the french fries. The avocado sundae was a cute idea, but it was not executed very nicely. The avocado spread had no seasoning and tasted as if someone had just scooped it right out of the avocado without adding even salt or pepper to it. The bread was toasted but was cold by the time it got to our table. The french fries were also cold when they got to our table. We each ordered a flatbread and while the mushroom one that I ate was okay, the avocado one that my sister ordered was not what she was expecting. There were pickled onions on it, which was not what she was expecting. On the menu, all it said was red onion, with not indication that they would be pickled. We ended up just wrapping up our flatbreads and taking them to go since we were so disappointed with our experience at Bloom.
The restaurant is very pretty. A lot of attention to detail.
We dined for brunch. The portions were average to small.
The place was empty.
I had the feeling that it was dirty. Our reservation was for 12, and the doors were locked shut until 12. I was told I could sit anywhere. I felt like they were not ready to start the day. Service was good.
Probably will not return. I was disappointed and I think they need to fix some kinks. It’s really a bar, posing as a restaurant. I’m sorry to say it but I think it needs to put in more attention to the food as much as they did for the decor
The service needs some work... but otherwise it's good!
I was looking forward to a nice dining experience since this was my first time at this restaurant. My friend and I left hungry, frustrated and very disappointed. The food was really bad. My ribs had no flavor and my salad was too garlicky. My friend returned her chicken dish twice due to undercooked chicken. The not too alert manager ended up comping my friend’s entire meal. That’s about the only positive part of the night. And lastly and the most troubling to me, when we asked for straws, the server brought them over to our table pinching the top of the straws with her fingers and inserted them in our glasses of water. I lost my appetite from that moment on.
Food was good and plentiful. Restaurant looks like it could use a good cleaning, especially in the bathroom. The decor is interesting though.
We went for restaurant week last week. The food was horrible. Actually inedible. Will not be returning.
I would recommend Blume solely for the food, cocktails, and atmosphere. However, service was not great. We were still waiting for our drink orders when the waitress came to the table to take our food order. I politely asked her when she thought the drinks would come and she responded “when the bar makes them” with snarky attitude. I understand it’s busy because of restaurant week but the answer I was looking for could’ve been “5-10 minutes” or “very shortly”.
Ordered from restaurant week menu and they were out of choices and they didn’t not let you substitute for other items on menu. So I had to choose things I really did not want or eat.
Start to finish not good. The server was decent but looked overwhelmed.
We had very rude and slow service. It took over 2 hours to finish our meal because of the delay between each restaurant week course - including not receiving any service for the first 20 minutes. Our waitress was cold and made rude comments. The restaurant had a fun ambiance but will not be back.
This visit was during restaurant week. The food was very good and we were stuffed after the four courses. The cocktails ordered were not good. Every restaurant should be able to serve delicious basic cocktails like cosmos, rum drinks etc. Between the two of us we ordered four drinks and only one was tasty. There were so many specialty cocktails listed on the menu-it’s like they were trying too hard to be “out of the ordinary”. Unfortunately we would not return because of the bar service. The decor is great but the tables were so close together it was difficult for the wait staff and also to get up to leave.
Blume was just okay. The ambiance is super cool and the cocktails were great. We went for restaurant week so the value was pretty good and we got to try a lot of things (4 courses). Unfortunately, for 2 of the courses the wrong thing was brought out. No big deal, they corrected it, but then the food was just so-so. My friend who I was dining with is a chef and he neverrrr sends things back, but he did communicate to the server that the mussels were the worst he’s ever had. I also asked if they could cook my cauliflower steak just a little extra (easier on the belly) and they told me “no, no modifications”. I thought that was odd, not really a modification, especially since you’re allowed to specify how a regular steak would be cooked!! after all that, the manager didn’t even bother to stop over and see how our meal was. I may go back for cocktails but definitely not for dinner.
Food was amazing. The waitress apologized for the wait of our cocktails (weird, because it really wasn't busy so not sure what the issue was) and gave us a round on the house. We went for restaurant week and was not disappointed. Would go back to try more fun foods!
Very very slow service, food was cold, but tasty. Wo
I think I would recommended BLUME for cocktails (happy hour, maybe?) and ambiance but not necessarily for a stellar food or wine experience. The food was decently priced yet just ok. Philly has amazing restaurants with excellent food. BLUME was fine but did not match up with the many excellent restaurants around the city. The space at BLUME is gorgeous, and the cocktail menu was nice. The wine list left a lot to be desired, though.
the ambiance was beautiful! loved all the flowers and lights along the walls and the ceiling. the food was decent, pretty yummy but a bit overpriced. it was overall a good experience though, and i’d go back again!
Service & atmosphere was great! Not too crazy about the menu but overall great experience.
Blume was ok, nothing special to brag. Food wasn’t that good in our opinion (3 people) and even drinks (Mule) tasted weird. The only thing we liked was that it is pretty decorated inside.
Restaurant week. Not a fan
Cool atmosphere. Everything that we ordered was delicious and the portions were hearty.
The service was great!
The hostess immediately forgot about us and the service was slow. Food wasn’t bad and it was a cool spot, but won’t be rushing back any time soon
Wow ... the food is just as wonderful as the ambience! Our server was friendly and helpful when ask about the menu. The menu is reasonably price and the food tasted fresh.
The guacamole sundae was my favorite.
I enjoy the chicken satay very yummy. My salad was too salty. Lastly, the blood orange desert was delicious.
Fabulous food, service and atmosphere ! We cannot wait to return!
It’s such a cute little place but Cinder (the restaurant it replaced) was so much better.
The food was just okay, my husband ordered a chicken satay entree and it was one skewer - he requested it as an appetizer but it took 45 minutes to come out. He ordered steak for dinner and it came out cold and over cooked. I ordered the shishito peppers with white beans and it came with green beans instead? I also ordered the burrata salad - the cheese was hard and tasted like cream cheese - nothing like any burrata I’ve ever had. I had the cheese plate for dessert and it was just kind of put on the table - no description of the cheeses. Also the nuts that came with it were stale.
We were charged $5 for tonic water and the chairs were so wildly uncomfortable that by the end of our meal I just wanted to leave.
I do want to say our waitress was lovely. Very apologetic about wait times etc.
I was really looking forward to going there but it was all style and no substance.
The food was average at best. Nothing had any taste to it.
Fabulous with a capital F!!!! Amazing service and staff — served 22 on our group ! The food was great and the staff went above and beyond setting up and helping decorate with our decorations— did I mention the cocktails ???? Terrific !!! Love Blume ! Shout out to Rob for helping us plan a wonderful surprise brunch !
Considering all the excellent restaurant/food options in the city, the food isn't anything special but it's not bad. They do have a gluten free menu which was helpful for one of the individuals in my party had celiacs. The service was really good and the ambiance is cool. Good craft cocktails and wine list. It's kind of a once and done place, I tried it but see no reason to go back.
I gave the food a 4 star only because I only got appetizers because I really just went for drinks. But overall the venue, drinks and service was really great.
Ambiance is GREAT. Drinks are pretty. That’s pretty much what makes this place special. Heard bad reviews on food, so we decided to order just an appetizer to see if the food was any good. We ordered the loaded fries and ohhhh myyyy. It was literally Burger King fries with glob of cheese and beef w/random sauce. Special sauce, what sauce? It’s good for late night I’m drunk feed me food. Ended up going somewhere else for food and more drinks.
The food here was so bad we ended up getting the check after the appetizers. The gruyere sticks and calamari tasted like they were soaked in grease. The dip surved with the gruyere sticks was served ice cold which was very offputting and the calamari was more batter than anything. The sauce was also terrible and tasted like the only ingredient was salt. We weren't even willing to order main courses because we felt sick from the terrible appetizers.
Blume offers a beautifully curated atmosphere however, the food was extremely lack luster and overpriced. Not to mention, it was so loud it was hard to have a conversation without shouting across the table.
Went for drinks prior and had an unpleasant experience with the “self seating” area next to the host stand. This time made a reservation. Ridiculously loud, overpriced for tepid and under seasoned food. Waited 20 minutes for 2 out of 3 of our apps, then 15 minutes for silverware (and had to chase someone down to get it). Kebabs were dry and cold and “gruyere” cheese sticks were Kraft neon yellow with a watery dip. Never got the salmon tartine. Our water glasses sat empty most of the very brief meal. Letting the manager know of the disappointment we got excuses and a cards for 10% off our next visit. Left those behind. Will absolutely not be back.
Baaaaaaad. Don’t go. Loud. Bad service. Waitress never came. Good bad. Only got two me drink. Saaad. Never going back.
I’d go back any day. I enjoyed it so much. Great place to hangout with friends. Loud at times but not bad.
Drinks are good and fairly priced. Food has a nice twist but a tad expensive for the portion size. Service is a little slow but I've been early in the evening.
The service was slow and the restaurant was not busy at all
