twin cakes with roasted potatoes, crispy brussels
blue cheese, crispy Tabasco onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, brandy-horseradish vinaigrette
Had reservations for 5:30pm. Promptly seated within 5 minutes from check-in. Menu and water promptly provided by server and took drink orders. Service on drink orders were fast. Long wait for server to take our order, at least 15 minutes waiting. Waited 45 minutes for dinner ordered to be served. My son ordered $48 Filet @ medium rare. Steak was medium, not sure how steak got over cooked. Sent it back and had to wait another 20 minutes or so. Went in for wife’s birthday and didn’t even get acknowledged. Only item that was good was the side dishes. I had surf and turf. Cab cakes was good but my filet was over cooked. I asked for medium and was well done. We normally visit Blue Stone for special occasions but this time food quality was not up to par along with slow/lack of service.
Sunday at 1 P.M. and it was busy, so the noise level was elevated. Service was good but slower than when not as busy. Food was excellent. Highly recommend a reservation. Front desk service was very good, and improved from a month ago.
The food was just OKAY! It was nothing to rave about. I’m not opposed to returning but I definitely will not suggest this as an option
Server was great- she took great care and concern regarding my food allergies.
However, we let her know we wanted to sing happy birthday. When dessert was brought out (not
By her) there wasn’t a candle in it.
When she realized it, she made it all better by bringing a 2nd dessert with a candle.
Good meals. Moderate pricing.
Perfect! Even on a very busy evening, everything went smoothly.
Although I had a reservation booked well in advance, it took 15 minutes to seat us, and another 40 minutes before our drinks were brought. It was a rough start, but things proceeded smoothly afterwards, and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Lovely restaurant but I found the menu to be very limited. I just wanted simple preparation of salmon or rockfish but the only offering included sides and sauces that were not appealing to me. There were no specials either. The service was good. Staff were very accommodating.
I wish the waitstaff would wear masks
Dad’s 87th birthday dinner.
Have not eaten here since after the pandemic. Before, we ate at Bluestone pretty often--food and service are usually quite good.
The food was not up to standard. The firecracker salmon smelled a bit ripe, as did the crab fried rice that accompanied the two way tuna. And the two way tuna was really not good. A good piece of tuna, when served rare, is delicious. This tuna was tough, tendony, and was not pleasant to eat.
Not sure I would recommend bluestone to a friend. The old bluestone, definitely. The bluestone from Tuesday night? No.
Overall a very nice experience. However one dinner was lacking in quantity.
Also service was a little slow at times
The food and the service was superb. We were seated quickly for our reservations. We greeted quickly by our wait staff. They were friendly and attentive. We ordered the seafood medley with pita chips and fried green tomatoes. Both were delicious. For our entrees we had the lamb shank and crab cakes. The lamb shank was well prepared and extremely delicious. And the crab cakes were a good size for the price. We were pleasantly pleased by our overall experience and will definitely be back.
Service was incredible.
I've been to Blue Stone several times and the food had always been delicious. Today I ordered the crab cake with shrimp and scallops. It came with 2 extremely small scallops and a few very small shrimp. For Blue Stone I was very surprised to see this. The crab cake was very good as usual and so was everyone else's dish. My daughter had the scallop entrée and they were small for her as well. The service and appetizers were very good. Very crowded, more than I'd seen even before Covid.
Good experience. Calamari was good just too many tentacles :/. Fish and chips were great! Great breading and the trout sauce with was delicious.
No more espresso machine. They should figure out how to get that back on the menu. Coffee wasn’t that great either.
Great experience! Thanks.
Food was great! Loved the brazed ribs and the bluestone salad was fantastic. Our server was top notch. First time visiting in years and we plan to make it a regular dining destination.
It is my go to restaurant.
Always a great dining experience when dining at Bluestone. The drink selection coupled with a great menu explains why this restaurant is always busy. Fantastic all around!
Dinner was fantastic except for slightly dry rockfish. Such a generous portion of calamari! Bluestone salad great, as usual.
The three of us who ordered the Crisfield stew agreed it was delicious, arriving at our table piping hot and a bit spicy. The other two that ordered the fish and chips found it mediocre at best. The arrival of our meals after ordering seemed long.
Food and service are always good! Went for our anniversary.
Food is consistently good. Fresh, tasty with nice presentation. Servers were very attentive
Sunday night special 3 course dinners brought a very big crowd. We waited a while before our server showed up, and the first thing she said was to please be patient, her whole section had all been seated at the same time. Not a good start. She encouraged us to order our first course along with our drink orders. Our drinks arrived after the salads. Then a table of four near us stood and left. Our server was very distracted by this and left us wondering if she was going to come back for our entree orders. We made the best of the delays, but overall the service was not up to par.
The food had problems as well. One drink had a different brand of bourbon than what was requested. The salad dressing overwhelmed the Bluestone salad. The filet mignonette were overcooked and dry. We had to request steak knives. The crab and cream of crab were fine, and our friends had no complaints about their entrees.
By the time we finished our dinners, the restaurant was empty, as we had been there for three hours!
Bluestone is always excellent. Pricey but great.
The shrimp tacos were really good. The Maryland crab soup was good, but it was not hot when we received it.
Great food and service. Moderately priced but can't complain given the cost of food these days. Great wine and deserts.
Great food and atmosphere.
The service was great. Our waitress recommended to mix the Maryland crab and cream of crab soup together. It was a nice blend. Everything we ordered was delicious.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Bluestone, especially since this was our first restaurant outing post-pandemic shutdown. We arrived 30 minutes early and still were seated immediately. Our server, Alexis, was quite pleasant, accommodating and attentive to our desires as we were celebrating two birthdays. We never once felt rushed; in fact, we stayed longer than we intended because of the welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. Our food was plentiful, well prepared and absolutely scrumptious!! Of course, this was not our first time patronizing Bluestone, so my sisters and I will definitely return, again.
Outstanding dining experience
We all enjoyed our meal. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Blue Stone is a great place for seafood at a convenient location. It is also a good place for a specialo occasion.
Had a dinner reservation and was seated promptly. 4 different servers waited on us and were extremely diligent; every need was anticipated. The food was FANTASTIC! We will definitely go back….maybe for a holiday meal.
Food is always excellent. Room we were seated in was crowded which made me feel uncomfortable due to COVID especially when a group of six were seated right next to us. Our servers were good but seemed rushed due to high volume of diners.
We were in a room with limited tables so noise level was okay. In other areas it was so loud we couldn’t hear each other. We have to remember to ask for a specific room.
The chicken and avocado salad was life changing. That sushi appetizer was phenomenal. Bacon with sugar is my new religion.
Asked for a quiet booth, got a cold noisy room, we had an early reservation! Music loud and next to a door that had a huge draft
Manager or hostess can’t lift their head to talk to you.
Wonderful that staff “wearing masks”but it would be better if they wore them over their noses!
Usually a nice visit but tonight early Eve was off.
Great food and excellent staff in a beautiful and spacious setting.
I like the smaller dining spaces, but it is just too noisy when all the tables are full in that space.
