Bluestone

I have always enjoyed Blue Stone. Saturday night I celebrated a friend's birthday there. It was also restaurant week. $32 for a three course dinner. The Bluestone salad was very good. The Maryland crab soup was o.k. Nothing to write home about. My friend got the single crab cake dinner. The crab cake's are awesome...though a bit small. The veggies were good, but amount was stingy. There were five small bites of roasted potatoes and four very small stalks of asparagus. The food looked lost on a luncheon size plate. He was hungry shortly thereafter. I ordered the Crisfield stew, their specialty. The broth was very nice. I enjoyed the fish and the mussels...the shrimp and scallops had very little taste and seemed overcooked. The desserts were very good. After spending over $100, I have to say I was disappointed.

Food is where it counts, we're picky and have no complaints at all. Bluestone was a little crushed by an early Saturday crowd before a Ravens game; service struggled a little. We'll be back all the same.

We had won a gift certificate for Bluestone and didn’t know what to expect. It was fantastic! My husband and I order Caesar salads frequently and know the true taste of Caesar dressing, the Caesar dressing at Bluestone was perfect. I had the “steak and cake.” The flavor of the filet mignonette was top notch and the crab cake was almost as good as Papa’s. The asparagus and mashed potatoes that came with it were also excellent. For dessert I had key lime pie - perfect taste. I also had the Sangria which had the perfect proportion of wine and fruit.
We can’t say enough good things about our experience at Bluestone. The only thing I did not like was how loud it was but we were seated in a cozy corner booth away from the bar which was perfect for our quiet night out.

Excellent food and ambiance. Everyone in our party had a different meal and each person was thrilled with their meals. Our waitress (can't remember her name) was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely come back!!!

Standards seem to have slipped -

Ordered a shrimp wrap with fries. Order took 40 minutes to receive. Fries were warm, not hot.

I have been going to Bluestone since they opened. I have never had a bad lunch or dinner and the waiter or waitress has always been great People that I bring there love the whole experience. Highly recommend either lunch or dinner and price fix is great for dinner on Sunday night.

As always the meal at Bluestone was outstanding. Seating was prompt, service was excellent. Highly recommended

Always excellent food and service at Bluestone. Regular menu at regular prices, and half price bottles of wine on New Yesr’s Eve is unbelieveable. They obviously value their customers. We always have outstanding service from Shannon.

I normally find Bluestone consistent, however it was busy NYE, and our server forgot our bread. My husbands meal was cold, and my fish was slightly overdone

Truly the best restaurant in Baltimore County. The service is impeccable.

I’ve been coming to Bluestone ever since they’ve opened.
The food is just as delicious as it was in the beginning. My only issue is. The portions are so much smaller. I ordered a salmon Greek salad which was very good. However, the salad itself, was so small. Very disappointed since that was my lunch/dinner. If you’re offering a salad. Make it a nice size.....

Bluestone is always great and it hit again last night. Dip was outstanding. Salmon was definitely spicy and Chesapeake Salad was huge. We had a great time.

Consistently excellent food, crab cakes, fish. Service is also very good. This is a known restaurant and I'd strongly suggest reservations.

Love Bluestone. We go there often and are rarely if ever disappointed in the food or friendly service.

I had a very bad “communications” experience. I initially emailed a special request, and followed up with a telephone call. Worried that it wouldn’t happen, I actually visited the restaurant earlier on the day of the reservation. The “promise” was nowhere on the reservation notes, so the manager on duty put the information in himself. Needless to say the special request DID NOT HAPPEN! I didn’t want to spoil the meal, so I waited until I was leaving to say anything. I was told “I’m so sorry.” How terribly inept!

Expected more from this restaurant, had heard it was really nice. Not sure if they were understaffed, but our server ignored us most of the night. She knew the people at two of her other tables on her round and gave them LOTS of attention. After we said we didn’t want dessert she asked us again what we wanted for dessert. And, part of my entree never arrived. Will not return.

All entrees were tasty and prepared to diners' requests. However, a couple of the fried oysters (appetizer) were close to being burnt. Service was spot on for about the first half of the evening, but deteriorated in the latter half. Overall though, a most pleasant evening.

This is our go to Christmas Eve Restaurant and we are never disappointed.

What an awesome night.... everyone enjoyed their food....service was great!

Wonderful and inviting experience!!! Staff was super friendly, drinks were well mixed and the food truly as good as advertised.

I had lunch with a friend on Dec 24. The place was busy, and I asked to be seated in a less noisy location. I think their food is excellent, but the noise makes it difficult to have a conversation. I do recommend the restaurant because of their creative, well-prepared dishes, but I do think it is too loud.

The food was very good and the service exceptional.

The food was excellent. I had the rockfish which was cooked perfectly. My husband had the crisfield stew which he is still talking about! We will most definitely be adding this to our go to places when eating out! Restaurant Week...here we come!

We really enjoyed having a family lunch here during the Christmas Holidays. The staff was very attentive & our food was outstanding! We highly recommend.

Everything was great until the manager was rude enough to come up to my table and ask my friends (who I had not seen in months and who I barely get to see) and I to leave because someone else needed the table. I understand needed to turn over tables, but that was extremely rude to do. We paid good money and tipped well, I will not consider going back after that.

Continuing Bluestone's habit of providing superbly well prepared food served by excellent staff.
We highly recommend Bluestone but suggest a reservation, particularly during these busy times.

We had our annual Christmas party at Bluestone and everyone was happy. Food was amazing, restaurant atmosphere has a good vibe and Warren, our server, was terrific. Big thumbs up!

We arrived at 1:00, had reservations, we got our drinks and appetizers is a reasonable amount of time. The main meal took way tooooo long, close to an hour. The place was almost empty by the time we were served.

There is a reason this is our favorite restaurant. Literally never had a bad meal or sub par service. ALWAYS an excellent experience!

A group of friends and I had a "reunion" lunch here. The food was terrific and so was our service. There was a large birthday party happening, but they had them in a separate room so the noise level was fine. It's a very attractive space, as well.

Excellently prepared fish dishes, as always.

The food was pretty solid with the exception of the shells in the cream of crab soup (no bueno). The server was excellent. She displayed a perfect balance of neither hovering or getting lost.

The food (dishes) was outstanding however I would recommend to review the Sangria recipe (specially) and crème brûlée. Thanks
