Is it a restaurant? Is it a bar? It’s Bluespoon!

The rules of traditional fine dining disappear at our Amsterdam restaurant where everything is in service of the most important aspect of food: taste. In the heart of the city we serve uncomplicated European flavours with a Dutch edge.

Our chefs create rustic, seasonal dishes with locally produced ingredients, pairing them with specialty wines, locally brewed beers and exclusive cocktails. Combine this with the stylish and eccentric Dutch-inspired décor by renowned designer Marcel Wanders and our personalised approach to service, and you will enjoy a full culinary experience!

It was ok, but expected more. Saw some pictures on social media that looked nice however once there it felt a bit bland. It's a pity because the restaurant is pretty.

The brunch was not at all a brunch. It was lunch with a buffet bar and not a single egg option (what is a brunch with an eggs Benedict option!?!?!) The lunch mains were delicious but the portions were tiny. This went hand in hand with service. The waitress did not advise on anything - both the good and the bad. When asked about the champagne pairing that was offered, the waitress said it was cava, when in fact she poured me Ruinart (should play this up!). But the coffee latte was poured from an automatic machine that’s visible to visitors - the same one I have in my cheap office (should hide this!)

Overall, 67 EUR for a mediocre spread, a great tiny dish, a small pour of great champagne and a cup of meh coffee... not worth it.

very good service but it can mean you got approached multiple of times what could be a border between good and disturbing service. I will not say the food is fine dining but it is refine brasserie style food, too bad it is lack of depth in taste. Pure quality they deliver.

for comfort food to business say 7-8/10

The service was good. The food and the presentation, top notch. I only wish there was an egg dish on the menu. I love eggs. And a perfect omelette will get 5 stars from me. My guest really enjoyed the entire experience.

Meal was good, but not extremly good and that expect you for this price. And the portions are too small. For us, not big eaters, just enough, but I can imagine that you really still hungry after the meal

We had an amazing Brunch last sunday. For 39€ you get an All-you-can-eat buffet, which is incredibly. The best thing is that you can also order one meal A la Carte. I had chicken and my friend got beef. Both meals were super yummy. At the buffet you get everything you want. There is also an dessert buffet which is included. We really enjoyed the food and we can totally recommend this place.

Shockingly good! Food is so creative and absolutely amazing! Servers and staff were attentive and on top of everything. Atmosphere was cozy and charming and comfortable. Loved it and was so happy one of our 4 dinners in Amsterdam was spent here. Highly recommend.

The place is absolutely lovely, with food and great staff.

We went there for a business lunch and everything was great. The only thing that caught our attention was the fact there were no other people at this time in the restaurant, which may be because it is mostly used for breakfasts, dinners and weekend brunches.

I would definitely recommend it for a brunch (I have been there on Saturdays, it is amazing experience) and for business dinner.

This is our second time at Blue Spoon. The overall experience is always amazing. The food is just great. It's all local Dutch sourced food and they put their own very creative spin on it. We had the haring tartar and I never tasted haring thus way. I never really like haring prior to it. But decided to try it. Just great!
All dishes are great and they never fail to disappoint. The service is good and just love their interior. The garden is a must see.

Loved this restaurant. Hoping to go by again before I leave Amsterdam.
I'm from Austin, TX and I was so happy to find that this bar offered amazing hand crafted cocktails. Many restaurants in Amsterdam have wonderful wine and beer choices but lack the amazing cocktails we found at Bluespoon. I had a margarita and my friend had Rose Petal margarita. They were so good.
Dinner was great too with attentive service and a delicious choice of food.

Excellent Food and Service; For the week we were in Amsterdam this was our best meal so we ate there twice; We tried several starters and several entrees and they were all excellent and not too heavy like some of the other restaurants there; The wine list was reasonable.

2nd visit for Sunday Brunch and food was very good again. Nice spontaneous staff and stylish surroundings.
Should be more clear about what's included during the Sunday Brunch and what's not though... The lovely coffees (latte, cappuccino etc.) served by the staff and fresh juices from the buffet are included but bottled water is not...??
Starters buffet is very good (mostly vegetables with some combined meat/fish salads) but ingredients were 'cheaper' than during the last time we went for brunch. Main courses and dessert buffet was again lovely and top class!! Still recommended!

Reservation was made weeks in advance for our trip to Amsterdam to celebrate Mothers Day and my Birthday . The ambience was lovely as was the staff. Unfortunately the extensive and interesting menu was changed. Instead of unique culinary delights there was a very limlited menu. Really nothing appealing about anything. Couldn't eat the appetizer and the main course was so so. My daughter didn't eat her entree either but they did comp her meal
So disappointed! So check the menu before you go as the old menu seemed dreamy vs this nightmare. SORRY GUYS :(

This was a very disappointing experience. Although the place was stylish and hip, the service was incredibly slow and the food quite poor. The cotes de boeuf was mostly bone and fat and the tenderloin undercooked and tasteless. For such an expensive restaurant, this was a ripoff. Indeed, at any price, it was a failure.

Food and service were very good. Ambiance was ok and price was little steep. It's basically in the lobby of the hotel. People walking through table area to hotel. Kids were running around. Would have had 5 stars if it were stand alone place.

This was our last night in Amsterdam and we wanted to go somewhere with good cocktails and food. When we first walked in we were wowed by the decor; it was such a swanky spot and we were excited to try something from their cocktail list. Our waiter offered great advice on what drinks to get and was off with our order. After about 15 minutes, he let us know that our drinks would be up any minute. After another 10 minutes we watch our drinks being deliver to the wrong table by another waiter; this table took the first drink and then berated the waiter about being at the wrong table. This waiter then brought over the rest of the drinks and told me mine would be right up. After another 15 minutes we decided to go to our table and have the drink delivered there.

Upon being seated the maitre d' ensured me that he would personally deliver my drink when it was ready. After about another 10 minutes the original waiter comes to tell me that they can not make the drink I ordered as they do not have the ingredients. He offers me another drink to be comped and it takes about 15 minutes to come out. Now that we have been sitting at the table for 25 minutes, we have yet to meet our server and receive any menus. Once the server figured out that we have not been waited on, he immediately brought us menus. We politely told him how our experience has been extremely lackluster and he assured us he would turn it around.

Dinner was pretty uneventful. We barely saw the waiter after he took our order and he never came around to see how things were. The food was very good, but the mood killer really took a toll on our night.

All in all, I would say only go here if you have all the time in the world. We were looking for a memorable last night in Amsterdam and they sure did give us that.

Super friendly staff and attention to detail. Food was simply fantastic, great flavors and real value for your money. Kitchen is open so you can see everything the chef's are cooking and if you are close enough you can even interact with them! (at the "Chef's table" as we where lucky to be placed).

Overall this was a fantastic experience in a fantastic hotel. We love the Andaz!!
