Butter. Salt. Smoke. Spice. Time. Passion. These ingredients are what our menu is built on. I founded what is now Blues St BBQ in 2015 under the name Pig City BBQ. With a love of good food, and a strong Midwest/Memphis background, I placed a strong emphasis on Pork and its impact on my new and forming BBQ business. After over a year of operating, I realized that my love of music was as strong as my love of great food. And since Memphis is the birthplace of Blues, the homage to all things southern, rock, jazz, blues, and Jesus Prasin, I changed the name and direction of the business to Blues St BBQ. Live music in the style of Blues, Jazz or Acoustic is the lifeblood of this restaurant, accompanied by long smoked Black Canyon Prime Reserve Brisket, dry-rubbed and lightly sauced Ribs, and classic Pulled Pork.

    I'm from the South. I am always looking for and craving good BBQ. We have a local BBQ place that we love but I was browsing a new place and saw the offering of Fried Green Tomatoes and Fried Okra so we took a chance. The live band was exceptional, but hard to hold a conversation. We ordered the sampler and learned after the fact that the tomatoes were not available. The pickles were overcooked. They were stuck together and Fried so thoroughly that the balance of the sour and oil wasn't met. The Okra tasted and looked like the frozen kind I would buy in the grocery store. My husband had the brisket, it was dry. The pulled pork was also dry and appeared to have been the loin portion instead of the usual shoulder portion which affected flavor. The service was... Adequate. Messy barbecue and no thought to anticipate the need for extra napkins or wet naps. I had to prompt my server for a refill on my drink. She was quick to offer us our check and to go boxes minutes after we were served to seemingly shoo us out the door. If it was just for the music, I would go. I've had much better barbecue in Utah. We will likely not return

    Went here for my birthday, the live music on the weekend is a surprising and welcome twist. The food was excellent, I don’t think anyone should walk away without trying some of their ribs especially. I’ll be back sometime.

    The venue is what you would expect for a good quality barbecue joint, e.g. lots of hard surfaces, wood tables, etc. It was clean and appropriately decorated with the usual barbecue paraphernalia. The ribs were quite good but the hush puppies could have been larger. The service was pretty good considering our server was training a newbie. They had a great live bluegrass band that made the the whole dining experience special.

    First time here. It was a Saturday night. Pleasant greeting and prompt seating by hostess. There was five of us with a split check. No problem. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a 5-piece bluegrass band playing. The venue is a little small so I was concerned about the noise level. I did have a little hard time hearing the conversation at the table but that may just be because I'm a senior. In any event, the band was so good, I didn't care. The food was very good. The hush puppies were a little on the small side. The smoke and bark on the ribs was very good. They were a little over tender but I'm a bit of a barbecue snob (PNWBCA judge). The beans were good as was the corn on the cob. I enjoyed the way the latter was served. Overall, dining here was a very fun and enjoyable experience. The server was personable and took good care of us. I look forward to returning and recommend it to my friends and family.

    The server was inattentive, didn’t introduce herself, and I couldn’t see a name tag either. She came by the table to get our drinks, get the order and drop the check. Literally no communication with us other than what would you like. Not even a, hope your day is well, or, hi how we doing? Food was good, but for the price, the service should be better.

    Great place to eat out with friends, especially on a Friday when they have live entertainment. We are always really happy with the food & service.
