We keep our food contemporary with the seasons offering dishes from around the country with a New Orleans/Southern twist. I was not singing the Blues when I left Blueprint on 3rd! It is a fun spot, with lots of ambiance. They handled our party of 8 Superbly. Britain our waiter did a fine job. You must get the cornbread appetizer. The Brussel Sprouts and Calamari were delicious as well. All mains were great. Wood fired trout, Bolognese (a little spicy) and Shrimp and Crabmeat were wonderful. Brisket was moist and tender. Fine evening topped off with owner stopping by our table for a visit.

I brought my friend here for dinner after seeing a traveling Broadway show at the BJCC. It was a lovely experience, as always. Attentive service, fantastic food and drinks, perfect ambiance. This is Birmingham’s best restaurant.

Excellent food/service as always! We know we will have a wonderful meal anytime we go. I love that the menu has changed up. However, I would love to have seen some autumn foods like squash, pumpkin etc included in the menu selection. But our visit was amazing! Bravo!

Blueprint is typically an excellent choice for dinner however on our recent visit there were some issues. The noise level in the dining room was elevated making it difficult to enjoy a conversation. Blueprint should invest in more sound dampening for the walls and ceiling. I ordered the rainbow trout with the sweet potato-burssel sprout hash. The fish was under seasoned and the hash was mostly burnt. I enjoy a bit of caramelization on my veg but there where onions and sweet potato that were charcoal and not edible. The hash was also under seasoned. My dinner companion ordered the blackened redfish with wilted spinach and mash with a shrimp bisque sauce. Overall the dish was better but the fish was still a little under seasoned. The service, however, was excellent.

My “go to” place for special occasions or entertaining out of town guests. Although the blackened redfish is one of my favorites, this time I tried the Cajun Bolognese and found it divinely spicy with plenty left for take home. The brussel sprouts and calamari appetizers were enjoyed by all. Superb from start to finish!

We really enjoyed spending my mother's birthday dinner at Blueprint! We all got something different, and everyone was pleased with their meal. The spices and sauces were delicious, and our Server, Maddy, was extremely attentive and kind. Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful night!

Overall, the food was very good and the atmosphere too! I'd say on my scale, about a 10% higher price than should be for the experience. Wine way over double the retail price, this foolishly means demand decreases tremendously. Pay attention as wine bottle avg retail prices are easily accessible in vino app and turns off wine drinkers to see double even close to triple the retail cost.

We had a wonderful time at Blueprint on Third. We started out with a great bottle of wine, and the oyster Rockefeller and fried brussel sprout appetizers. Both were delicious! Our friend had the duck and dumplings, and my husband and I shared the flounder with Romescu sauce and the beet/ goat cheese salad. Everything was fantastic!Our waiter provided us with wonderful service ! Blueprint on Third never disappoints!

We were celebrating my husband’s birthday with friends. Our evening at Blueprint On 3rd could not have been any better. It was a wonderful evening to sit on the patio. Our servers were friendly, professional, and very helpful. Our food was outstanding. Can’t wait for our next visit.
