Bluegrass is a casual restaurant located in Highland Park. With a cozy setting nestled into the west side of town it is a true destination dining location. Complete with a warm friendly bar and an American flare, Bluegrass blends in a little Southern influence into its repertoire. The wine and beer selections are all American, along with a full back bar, all hand selected to echo the quality of the fare. Aside from a beautiful setting, the restaurant has extraordinary food and service with a remarkable value.

    Seated immediately although arrived 20 minutes early. Offered booth or table. Calle Surprised with free creme brulee and whipped cream for birthday. Luke was excellent waiter. Attentive and relaxed. Great hurricane and glass of Porter. Nawlins' shrimp and crab cake appetizers most flavorful ever. Peanut brittle baked beans and corn pudding excellent sides. Second time to Bluegrass in past 2 months. Now our go to place for everyday and special events.

    Overall excellent, food, service-there were a couple of hitches that the people handled very well. I’d suggest a few more non-alcoholic option for the before ordering ritual.

    Service and food are always great. Portions are generous. We come here a few times a year and are never disappointed.

    Had the smoked brisket plate and fried shrimp. Both were delicious. Luke provided excellent service. Was out first visit and we will definitely be back.

    Our favorite restaurant on the North Shore. We especially enjoy the seafood. The walleye, salmon, grouper snd shrimp and grits are some of our favorites. For a change of pace the cajun dishes are a delight. Excellent choice of wines and draft beers.

    As always, the service and food were A+++! From front desk to back of the house, the staff is excellent!!! Friendly, pleasant, professional… and their suggestions are always spot on! Somehow, they always make you feel like one of the family. Our server was, of course, wonderful! Super nice, perfect suggestions for lunch, delicious desserts, and he laughed at my husband’s jokes. He definitely deserves bonus points for that! ;-) Seriously, Bluegrass is one of our absolute favorite dining spots. Casual environment, a laid back atmosphere, and really (really!) good food! One of the North Shore’s hidden gems!

    Wonderful lunch beginning with fried artichokes and a small cup Of gumbo. Great salad too.

    Great experience! Without a doubt, this restaurant is a gem worth revisiting! Highly recommend to everyone! Friendly & knowledgeable staff along with great food!
