Bluegrass does a great job of social distancing. The bbq chicken & ribs were fantastic. Bluegrass is one of our favorites.
Ate outside. Tables were spaced appropriately. Food and service were great!
Best Wall-eye I have ever had!
Different comfort food done very well .
The Bluegrass experience is always very friendly and the food is excellent. Its a go to place for me when Im in the burbs
My favorite place to have dinner at when I’m at home. Friendly staff, food is always delicious, safe COVID set up, and m I look forward to Bluegrass every time. Thanks for a wonderful meal.
Went for a lunch meeting with a client. Nice quiet little place with great food. The service was exceptional.
Always a great meal at Bluegrass! Love the BBQ Blue burger and the salmon! Great beer selection too!
It’s been difficult to get into Bluegrass in these difficult times, but We are so glad we persisted. We haven’t been here in quite a while and we’re so happy to be back. We started with soups, and my baked French onion soup was quite good but nothing compared to my wife’s chicken and sausage gumbo which was unbelievable. Our entrees were equally fantastic: my wife’s BBQ corned beef platter and my crawfish etoufee. Both were delicious and generously portioned. Wines were interesting, trying new ones that were perfect. Eric our server was tops! Prices were moderate and everything was in line with coronavirus protocol, so we felt safe and comfortable. There’s so much on the menu to go back for!
As always, Bluegrass did not disappoint. Excellent food, service and drinks. Loved eating outside.
Outstanding as usual. Great staff, awesome food Love it!!
nice menu and wine list....even better service. Great Lunch
Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed every part of this restaurant, from the well prepared appetizers, great variety of entrees, to the generous portion of desert that they call “a taster.” I’ll go out of my way to come back!
Our server was very disappointing. We sat outside and he appeared very nervous to be near people. He stood quite far away from us, spoke rather quickly, made no effort to have a dialogue with us and seemed to be in a great hurry to get the order and move on. When the food was ready he almost threw it on the table to get it on the table and move away. He clearly should not have been working if he was that nervous about Covid. On the other hand the gentleman who brought us our bottle of wine was great.
Excellent food & service. Will definitely come back
Consistently good food and service; outdoor space; seemed COVID-safe
Always a great experience at Bluegrass, they even brought out a complementary dessert for my birthday.
I hadn't been to Bluegrass in several months, my friend had never been there. We both loved our Keywest Seafood salads and iced tea. Everything was delicious and we had a terrific server also.
My friend ended up ordering three meals to go for her family. she loved the overall menu and I learned that her family really enjoyed their meals!!
Small portions for high prices. Calamari had so many fried onions as filler, we only ended up with about a half-order of calamari.
Excellent food and service. We will certainly be back soon.
Great food, staff and dining experience.
One of our places on the north shore! Food and service is consistent and always great! They have handled COVID beautifully and we feel very safe there!
We had a wonderful dinner on Tueday. It was a lovely evening and we ate outside. We were seated promptly. The service was excellent and the food, as always, was delicious.
Sat outside on a beautiful night....delicious food and prompt service. Also they take all the protocols to make dining out safe and pleasurable.
Always Excellent food. Good distancing of tables for a feeling of a safe environment
Bluegrass is my best friends' fave place to go in our area and now she is moving out of state, so we planned to have a farewell dinner there to celebrate. Our usual tap beer (a delicious nitro stout) is no longer available, they rotate the taps periodically, no big deal we just ordered another stout and it was great. The deep fried artichoke appetizer was delicious too, always our go-to.
The real issue came with dinner, I ordered the petit filet and when it arrived it was over cooked. I ordered it medium and it was basically grey with a bit of pink inside, so I sent it back. For $28 you kind of want it to be good.
When it came back to the table it was almost blue it was so undercooked for a "medium" steak - but it wasn't grey, so I kept it and dealt with it. The green beans and garlic mashed potatoes on the first plate were delicious and well prepared from the couple of bites I tried, but from what I could tell, they just reheated these sides when they re-fired my steak. The beans were soggy and mushy and the potatoes were dry. Nice touch.
The steak itself was more than petit, it was almost microscopic. 4 ounces? Not so sure. So small that it was served atop a piece of baguette, which my friend questioned why they would choose to serve a filet this way - and I have no answer. I had upgraded the filet to include the blue cheese crust, which was delicious, but for an extra 4 bucks you would hope so.
The overall service was slow for the most part, maybe because we weren't ready to order the minute we sat down? It seemed that once we asked for a few minutes things slowed to a crawl. We finally received the bread basket after about 20 minutes.
Yes, it was busy on the patio, all of the available tables were taken, but the inside only had about four tables occupied.
I know with COVID everyone is stressed and restaurants are dealing with a lot, but at the end of the day, if you want your customers to come back you still need to provide quality food and service.
We have been here a few times. The service is always attentive and friendly. The food is always fantastic. We started with shooters of gumbo, a tiny cup of gumbo just to get the meal started. This time I got the Shrimp and Grits with Andouille Sausage. It came with two servings of cheese grits, one with Shrimp on top, the other with pork candy (?) on it. Between the two is some greens with spears of grilled Andouille sausage on top. Somehow I thought the grits, andouille, and pork candy would all be mixed into one serving of grits. other than that, all the components were delicious.
My wife got the Jambalaya and Ribs platter with a side of cheese grits. The platter comes with there version of fries. My wife would have preferred if the grits replaced the fries; she didn't want the fries (the fries were very good, she just didn't want them). So she ended with fries she didn't want and a large order of cheese grits where a normal side dish size would have been fine. She devoured the Jambalaya (I have had it before and it is great Jambalaya) and ate one rib and some of her grits. She made sure to take the rest home (minus the fries).
We ordered the 3 two bite desserts; don't believe the two-bite moniker. Neither the slice of bread pudding nor the creme brulee are two bites (I guess if your mouth is big enough, you could do that, but, why?).
Bluegrass is our favorite restaurant period. The food is outstanding at a reasonable price. The owners are involved all the time and make you feel at home. I have recommended this place time and again to all my friends and acquaintances.
Ate outside. The food was Very Good!!👍🏻
Ate outdoors. Food was excellent. Tables far apart.
Excellent food & service
Great dinner dining indoors at BlueGrass for the first time. They were wonderful at providing lots of spacing between seated tables, all staff were in masks and gloves, and we felt very safe. Our meals were all delicious! The fresh caught Alaskan salmon, the blackened grouper, and walleye were all just wonderful! Thanks BlueGrass for doing it right, and exceeding our expectations.
The food was great ! The service was weird !
We ate outside. Nicely distanced tables and masked staff. Very pleasant. Great food as always
Always great food and great service
Service was friendly and attentive, food was fantastic.
Delicious and Fresh!!
We had lunch at Blue Grass and the service was outstanding! I had the tuna appetizer which was a good size portion. My mom enjoyed her orange chicken and my sister loved her salmon salad if I lived closer I would be a regular.
We sat outside and enjoyed a wonderful meal at Bluegrass. The grouper was delish, my husband really like his giant burger, and the bread pudding is excellent. Glad to be back.
